I have had an Aiwa stereo now for 1 1/2 years and I love the thing to death. The thing is however that I have loads of mini discs that I have hardly ever listened too because of the amount that I have.
This coupled with the fact that I got bored of my quite new and advanced sony walkman drove me to buy a mini disc player.
Now I have been wanting one of these ever since I got mini disc on my stereo so have been weighing them up ever since. ... ...belive the size difference!!!
The Aiwa model that I purchased in the end is excellent. It has many advanced functions, it is tiny (barely bigger than a mini disc itself) it is very light at about 150g for the player complete with battery, remote control, headphones and a mini disc inside. Do not believe people that tell you that it only weighs 89g. This may be true for the player alone but what good is that measurement.

It seemed to be a good player but i had a problem inserting a mini disc and the guarrentee is a bit shody and i am left with £140 of metal that is no good
Apart from that it was good and they remote was especially good with all the little different functions and displays that are possible. The sound quality isnt bad but i have heard better from my friend such as the sony range (especially as they higher up in the series)

...were right! In fact the Aiwa one is better. It does not lack in sound quality or performance over the top brand names, and is cheaper too!
Even the remote control is very well designed. It is compact, but functional and easy to use.

So you've got the choise between this player and all the other portable MD's. Well you have to buy this player because it by far the best. When looking for a portable MD I also looked at Sony, Panasonic and Sharp's players but this one is deffinately better than all of them.

I got this player because i already had a recorder in my hi-fi and it was very cheap. Although it was cheap it works very well. The battery lasts for 21 hours and if all you need is a player this is the one to get. It is very small - just bigger than a mindisc case and also very light.
