Get one!!!

Advantages: Small lightweight player
Disadvantages: doesn't record. (Thats coz it's a player)

I already had 2 recorders but one was a seperate for my hifi and the other was the Sony mz-r33 which was very old, big and heavy and not suitable for school. This made me decide to perchase a MD player. I went for the cheapest, smallest I could find and this is what I got. It its extremely small and lightweight so it fits in my pocket and isn't very noticable in lessons when I shouldn't have it. (don't tell anyone). The sound quality is great and ...

Great player, don't pay more than £120

Advantages: Light, small and sexy!!!!
Disadvantages: None at all

...format. I have had an Aiwa stereo now for 1 1/2 years and I love the thing to death. The thing is however that I have loads of mini discs that I have hardly ever listened too because of the amount that I have. This coupled with the fact that I got bored of my quite new and advanced sony walkman drove me to buy a mini disc player. Now I have been wanting one of these ever since I got mini disc on my stereo so have been weighing them up ever since. ...
...belive the size difference!!! The Aiwa model that I purchased in the end is excellent. It has many advanced functions, it is tiny (barely bigger than a mini disc itself) it is very light at about 150g for the player complete with battery, remote control, headphones and a mini disc inside. Do not believe people that tell you that it only weighs 89g. This may be true for the player alone but what good is that measurement. Finally it was featured ...

Disadvantages:

I purchased this product around two weeks ago and it is fantastic. I havn't stopped listening to music. The battery lasts a very long time and the sound quality is so clear. this MD is good because you can name your own songs and also record and delete songs onto mini discs. i recomend this product because it is easy to use, cheap and it looks very stylish, its light weight. i decided to buy Kenwood because i have had Kenwood cd players and they ...

good to start but now i'm bitter

Advantages: cheap
Disadvantages: fell apart

It seemed to be a good player but i had a problem inserting a mini disc and the guarrentee is a bit shody and i am left with £140 of metal that is no good Apart from that it was good and they remote was especially good with all the little different functions and displays that are possible. The sound quality isnt bad but i have heard better from my friend such as the sony range (especially as they higher up in the series) It was cheap though and ...

Pleasantly Surprised

Advantages: Everything, small, cheap, nice to look at, works, lots of features such as a bass booster, even comes with a little bag to protect it from scratches.
Disadvantages: doesn't record.

...were right! In fact the Aiwa one is better. It does not lack in sound quality or performance over the top brand names, and is cheaper too! Even the remote control is very well designed. It is compact, but functional and easy to use. If you have a mini-disc recording deck at home already, then I would recommend this for use use on the move as you can record your CD collection onto mini-disc and use this player instead. It is much more portable and ...

The best portable MD

Advantages: brilliant sound and build quality, cheap, loads of features
Disadvantages: A bad looking AA battery adapter

So you've got the choise between this player and all the other portable MD's. Well you have to buy this player because it by far the best. When looking for a portable MD I also looked at Sony, Panasonic and Sharp's players but this one is deffinately better than all of them. As Aiwa’s only playable MD (at the moment)this player should be good and it is. It features slim and sleek design with sexy looking metallic casing, an amazing backlit remote ...
...The battery life is good at 21 hours with a rechargeable Ni-MH and a AA battery and features a more than adequate 40 seconds of anti-shock. The sound quality is very good with a brilliant bass boost option (DSLB) and the air fitted headphones have good bass and treble. The display has a nice green tint despite the picture above and displays the obvious track name and a little wave animation at the top. The functions available on the remote are shuffle, ...

The best

Advantages: size and weight
Disadvantages: remote is big

I got this player because i already had a recorder in my hi-fi and it was very cheap. Although it was cheap it works very well. The battery lasts for 21 hours and if all you need is a player this is the one to get. It is very small - just bigger than a mindisc case and also very light. The battery lasts for a long time and it performs its job very well. The earphones are different but are very comfy and provide a good sound. This is an amazing mini-disc ...
