    How was your first experience? First experience in alcohol, in sex, first experience at marriage perhaps? or your first experience in anything, how was it? My first experience in using this Wella product was pure embarrassment! Why???     V05 styling wax I don’t use many hair care products as I don’t have the time to spend grooming myself anymore but when I do go out and I want to make an effort I do like to make sure that I have all of the best products to help create the look I’m after. I have tried various kinds of styling wax and have been disappointed in them even ones which were fairly pricy. I came across this particular one and I have stuck to it ever since as I’ve been pleased with the results and trust it to keep my hair styled for as long as required.     It's not often that i have opinions on haircare products but i have had to start using this stuff so i thought i would give it a go. This isn't going to be useful for too many people but this is the ideal stuff for holding your dreadlocks in. Once you have been through the agony of getting them done in the first place, and believe me, you don't know the meaning of pain until you've sat in a chair for 40 hours with someone pulling your hair, you really don't want them to untangle themselves so you wanna use wax to keep them together.     No, the answer isn't the juices of a virile man, and yes that was just a cheap sexual pun, but it seems to get people to read opinions so it was worth a try! Now, onto VO5 styling wax..well actually I'm writing about the new "texturising gum" but there didn't seem to be a category for that!! I saw this product stacked next to all the other hair styling products, and after struggling with almost every other type of hair product, I thought I'd give it a try.     VO5 style wax has changed the way that I style my hair. I have very thick dark hair which is a nightmare to look after when it gets too long. Every time I wash my hair it bushes like a fuzz and looks ridiculous. Having used gel and mousse in the past I was loathe to try wax. Having tried VO5 I found that my hair stayed where I wanted it. The only drawback is the greasiness that comes with the use of the wax. This is managable by not using too much wax and washing my hair daily. An excellent product. ... more

    I was very wary of using styling wax for the first time, as I had visions of a greaseball hair do that looked as though it needed a good wash! I think that could well happen if you aren't careful, you really need to be very careful not to use too much. However, it is amazing for taming fly-away hair and giving a healthy gloss to dry or damaged hair. Just put a little bit in the palm of your hand, rub it in and scrunch it through, the result is smooth, healthy looking hair, ready to be shaped and easy to manage.     This is the best styling wax i have found to date. I was looking for something that would help keep short hair spiky and this did it really well. I found that you only need to use it once and it will last all day giving you the perfect bed head look. It doesn't look greasy when done and was really easy to use you just put a small amount through damp hair and then style it as normal, thats it. It's also really easy to wash out when your done, i was worried that because it was wax it might be difficult but no problems there so a big thumbs up! ... more

    I have fairly short hair which I like to style front down and the back up for a little volume and separate, alot like Posh Spice's old style. To create this volume and separation along with other products I rely on styling wax as I find that hairspray tends to stick it all together in one clump and my hair just wouldn't stay put without applying anything. Like any person I am willing to try out new products on the market and so have used various sprays, gels and waxes alike.     Have you ever wondered why ducks have water proof feathers? Probably because some manic teenager has attacked them with VO5 Styling wax. This stuff is terrible. Apart from the fact that you can't get it out of your hair, like ever and the fact when you finally have surgery to get it out it leaves your hair like an unkept rat's, its pretty good. Well if you like just having to apply it once a week! As you've probably guessed, its lasts for ages. Its also fairly strong and keeps your hair the way it was when you applied the industrial strength mixture. As well as this it doesn't smell too bad ... more

    I'm only going to go on what my boyfriends says about this as he regularly uses it: Well, it does make his hair nice and shiny, adn looks like it's in good condition. Howetehr, it seems that if you put 1ml too muc on then it turns from shiny;to greasy. This is defintatly not a good sine. Also it seems to take a long time to come out. It's okay if you wash it at night, i comes out fine. But if you leave it on during the night then it tends to cling to your hair, so that you have to shampoo it many times before it goes normal.
