Advantages: Very Reasonable Price, High Absorbency. Disadvantages: Only available from Aldi which not everyone has easy access to.
...didn't live anywhere near an Aldi store so our main shopping was done in two of the main supermarkets where we had a tendency to buy Pampers, right from birth all the way to junior. Initially there wasn't a problem, in the birth and smaller sizes the Pampers did the job they were created for and although rather expensive, it seemed like a small price to pay for a quality product. However, this didn't last and when my daughter started to use sizes ... ...recently moving house with an Aldi store in the vicinity and not wanting to have the same problems as before, we decided to have a try with the Aldi "Mamia" brand, the results of which were outstanding. Despite not having to use pull up pants alongside, not once has there been a problem with damp sheets, although they have a feel of being slightly thinner than the leading brands, they are extremely absorbent, fit well and are much cheaper. Advantages: Excellent value for money, very absorbent Disadvantages: Not always available in local store
I started using Aldi nappies when I began doing my grocery basics shop at Aldi about a year and a half ago. I had previously used Pampers predominantly (or whatever else was on promotion) but as my twins grew, these became more and more expensive. I saw the Aldi nappies and thought I would give them a go.
I can honestly say that I have found them as good as, if not better than, the more expensive brands.
They are sold under the brand name "Mamia" ... ...under this brand.
I am currently using the size 4 nappies on one of my two and a half year olds (one of my girls is out of nappies now - hurrah!!) and they are still plenty big. They are also available in sizes 2, 3, and 5.
They have stretchy side panels, resealable tabs and elastication around the legs. They are tremendously absorbent and I cannot recall them leaking either pee or poo.
They are totally fine overnight, no leaks then either.
They ...

...stores before I found the Aldi nappies...and what i can tell you is this..
I discovered nappies basically come in 2 different types-
As a general rule the cheaper brands usually have a 'plastic feel' to them and I found these types to be a bit leaky now and again also the tabs you use to fasten them can only be stuck down once. They are definately not good for night times, they also irritate my little guy because the nappies are plastic they dont ... ...brands.
Now the Aldi brand nappies are different.. they have all the good points that you get from a more expensive brand...they are of a 'material feel' not plastic...they fit well round little legs and don't leak...and you can stick the tabs down as many times as you like because theyr'e that velcro stuff...

....... and the winner is Aldi Mamia disposable nappies!
Firstly they only cost £3.89 for 34 maxi or 30 junior, so they are cheaper even than most other supermarket own brands.
Secondly they perform brilliantly; my son has never ended up with a damp clammy bottom after wearing these, and I have never had a leakage incident even after 6 or 7 hours. (I will admit now that I still use Huggies overnight as they will easily hold 12 hours of wee!)
The ... ...plasticky, with resealable tabs. When full they hold all the liquid in without swelling up to gigantic proportions. They are elasticated at the legs, but not too tightl y, and have a stretchy waistband to ensure a snug fit. There is a balloon pattern on the front to help you put them on the right way round, but they are in no way as spangly and colourful as Pampers; this doesn't matter to me as pretty designs have no effect on their absorbency or ...

Advantages: Cheap Disadvantages: bulky, not absorbant, feel horrible.
I was recommended these nappies by 2 local mums who's children are 21/2, 3 and one is 4 yrs old. there in 2 sizes 4 and 5 and the 5 is quite large, bigger than any 5 I have purchased!!! as I use 5+ on my daughter.
Anyway I was given a few to try and arn't I glad I didn't waste my money.

If you are short on cash and really need some nappies buy them but you will need to change the child very oftern and do not use over night as you will have accidents.
To summaries...
These are very cheap, budget nappies and to be used only in emergancys. not comfortable for your child and do not hold as much as you would expect from a nappy. ...

...week, untill a friend recommended aldi nappies.
Aldi nappies? There is a stigma in shopping in these scandinavian stores because I don't like to buy brands that I don't recognise, especially to use on my little angels. My friend told me they had been awarded the baby and mother magazine award and there were only 3.69 for 30.
I was very tempted and decieded to give them a try. unfortunetly they only start from size 4 but they do pull up pants, 20 ... ...about but it isn't the packaging that is doing the desired job.
The nappy fitted perfectly and was soft to the feel. The pattern on the nappy is a bit naff but who cares!!!!!! My daughter was able to go about her daily day and was very happy which was the most important thing. The nappy absorbed very well, my daughter's skin was bone dry and didn't leak, unlike most of the well known brands.
The velcro fastenings were very stickable and restuck ...

Advantages: Cheap, leak resistant, generous sizing Disadvantages: Look a little cheaper than bigger brands
I thought I would give these nappies a try after seeing that they had been shortlisted for some award or other.
They are about £3.70 for 30 (whereas the other "leading brand" I tend to use is about £5.70 for 28). They only come in larger sizes which is a shame - from roughly about 25lb plus from memory.
The disadvantages first : APPEARANCE - The pattern on the nappies isn't as "pretty" as some other leading brands, but lets face it, its not like ... ...in a green and orange colour. As I say, not as pretty as the little animals on others, but who cares!
TAPE - The tape isn't as strong a some of the leading brands, so its important to whip on the vest quick before little hands start to wonder and take their nappy off.
Advantages
LEAKPROOF - I had a couple of leaks with these nappies but only for those explosive poohs that even expensive nappies wouldn't have been able to contain. SIZING - The ...

Advantages: Cheap as Chips but Still fabulous. Disadvantages: Bit bulky & look a bit cheaper.
I have two and a half year old twins and these were the best discovery I have made. Unfortunately it took me until they were two to find this gem of a bargain.
These nappies are only available in size 4 & size 5. A pack of 44 in size 5 (Junior - 11-25Kg / 24 - 55lbs) comes in at £5.29. Both Pampers & Huggies size 5 are currently retailing at £5.98 for a pack of 30 in Asda. This shows the saving you will be making.
These nappies have been great ... ...are suitable for sensitive skin. Although they do not carry the big brand name these nappies are by far one of the best and definitely the best value for money nappies available on the market. These nappies have been responsible for many rest-ful nights in my home a thing that generally you cannot say about the cheaper nappies available. Thanks for reading this review, hope it helps. ...

Advantages: Cheap, absorbant, good fit Disadvantages: none!
...and believe me we've tried a few!
As you can imagine, with baby triplets, we go through lots of nappies - and have tried lots of different brands to find one that's got the two main important qualities; cheap and absorbant.
Pampers, Huggies, main supermarket brands, Boots' own - nothing compared to these - they're our choice for our babies.
Not only were they a generous fit (some of the other brands were a bit tight for their suggested size ... ...(no more wet patches!), and totally cleared up our babies nappy rash, which believe it or not was caused by so called top brands inferiority.
We wont use another brand now - can't praise Aldis enough. Wish we'd found them straight away, would have saved us a fortune in nappy rash treatment and washing expenses!
Around £4 for 34 (maxi plus) so well over £1 cheaper than Pampers/Huggies, and even cheaper than most other supermarket own brands, packaging ...

...that's too much info! The Aldi nappies have to be changed a lot more than when he wears the Tesco's ones. He leaks more at the front (top) of the nappy than Tesco's.
