    WHAT IS IT? The 147 is Alfa Romeo's compact hatchback, produced in three and five door forms and competing in the Ford Focus / Vauxhall Astra market. This is actually an interesting, diverse and most popular market sector now, outselling all other types of car.     First of all, if you've always been put by an Alfa Romeo because of someone else's comments on reliability, please think again. I can say that virtually all people that say a bad word about this brand have never actually owned an Alfa Romeo, and are simply riding on age-old jokes that spawned from decades ago, when they DID suffer problems. A lot has changed since then, and provided you find an example that has been looked after and serviced on time, you will have no more trouble than any other marque.     Alfa Romeo 147 1.9 JTD 3dr Lusso You probably just don’t understand Alfa's and until you sit in one-you never will… Just bought an Alfa Romeo 147 1.9 JTD 3dr Lusso and on first impressions I’m delighted. It’s Navy Blue in Colour which sets the car off great against the Cream Leather, its a top of the range model and comes with SAT NAV, Cruise Control, Telephone, full heated Leather Upholstery, trip computer, 16inch Alloy wheels etc. The options are great, although not a requirement for everyone-however I would recommend the leather upholstery as a MUST its fantastic.     I am in the process of looking for a new car. This weekend I test drove an Alfa Romeo 147 1.9JTD 16V(140 BHP). This review will be split under several headings, and each heading will be rated out of ten - ten being fab, 1 being bad. First Impressions: 10/10 This car is pure style to look at from the outside, the car body has a slight concave shape in the doors and all along the side - this gives the car an immediate sense of style and sensuality.     I have had this Alfa since October 2004, it has been ultra reliable, I have covered approx 16000 miles since I bought it, and it hasn't gone wrong, or nothing has fallen off it. It is quick, very fuel efficient, more so than my Peugeot HDI Dturbo, looks sexy, drives fab and is a great quality and characterful alternative to the boring VAG group products! Customer service at the Alfa Garage has been perfect, and is cheaper to service then my 206 HDI Dturbo. A great car, with a great following.

    I purchased a used alfa romeo 147 lusso approximately 7 months ago. I have always wanted a 147 to call my own ever since learning to drive 4 years ago and was extremely happy to have managed to buy an 03 plate red alfa at what I thought was a great price for its condition-£2800! I was warned before hand by several people that alfas are notorious for their electrical faults but chose not to pay attention, within a matter of 2-3 months everything started going wrong! first one of the brake lights went out-fixed that but then the parking registration light stopped working-fixed that but THEN the ... more

    My boyfriend and my bro either got this car. My bf has the 1.9 jtd 115 cv, and my bro has the 1.9 jtd 150 cv. I don't know if you ever had a conctat with this kind of car. I mean, it is just Wonderful! It has a great line, outside, and inside the design it's perfect, really accurate, with everything you can desire from a car. The engine it's really silent and it "calls" you to accelerate. You can choose between 5 different type of preparation: distinctive, progression, exlusive, blackline and selespeed.
