All in One Piece' by Jill Murphy is a really fun read for little children and parents alike. Jill Murphy is quite a prolific children's writer and is well known for her 'Worst Witch' series of books. She has also written a number of books about a family of elephants, called the Large family,and this book is part of that series. ...same is the case in All In One Piece. Mr and Mrs Large are getting ready to go out for the night, and when Granny arrives to look after the kids, things get a bit hairy. What with the kids using either Mr Large's shaving foam or stuffing Mrs Large's tights with as many toys as possible, or even trying on her makeup, Mrs Large finally snaps and loses it, telling her family how she deserves a bit of 'me time'. Will they manage to get out of the house ...
...lovely in general, and they're all worth reading to your kids. Definitely more a bedtime book than anything else, they can still be read at any time of day, but this is when I have found them to be best suited. It should only cost you a few pounds from amazon.co.uk, and retails for around the £5 mark. I highly recommend this for kids, and if you're looking for something to buy for a little one as a Christmas present, you could do a lot worse than ...
