Advantages Advantages Long term use gives happy skin.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Claims are misleading...

Aloe Pure Gel claims to be an "intensive skin care treatment" suited for use on "stretch marks, scars dry, chapped skin, sun burn, skin irritations and minor burns" with soothing, restoring, moisturising, and nourishing properties. Before I begin I advise you to ignore these statements. They're not falsehoods per se, but they are highly misleading and likely to lead to confusion. This is not a product which will instantly soften your dry parts on application. It isn't a moisturiser in the way you'd assume. Intensive, it is not. The main benefit of this is the upkeep of healthy skin, not a ... more

Advantages Advantages Fragrance free, provides instant cooling sensation, nice texture

Disadvantages Disadvantages Didn't soothe eczema, not moisturising enough for me and hasn't made skin any less dry

~ Why I Bought It ~ I had been wanting to try this product for a while now but seeing as I already had lots of other skin care products I decided to wait until I had used most of them up. I finally got around to buying it last month and was excited to try it as I've heard nothing but good things about it. ~ Price ~ I paid £4.50 for my 200ml bottle which isn't too expensive but it definitely isn't cheap either. The retail price is around £6 I believe but this depends on where you buy it from. ~ My Opinion ~ I was quite surprised when this arrived as I wasn't expecting such a large tube! The ... more

Advantages Advantages Smoothes, moisturises, cheap, clean feeling.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Possible interactions with skin.

What is it, and what does it claim to do? Organic Aloe Pura Aloe Vera Gel. A clear gel in a large tube. It is for external use, for application to irritated skin. I also use it to protect my skin after bathing, and as a moisturiser. Application I have various stretch marks on my chest due to growth spurts in puberty, and a few scars that I have acquired over the years over my body. I hoped that this gel would be able to soften, moisturise and generally provide my skin with a bit of loving, without too many chemicals, frangrances and colours. Reading up on aloe vera, I found out that the ... more

Aloe Pura are company which have created a fantastic range of organic skin products all containing Aloe Vera. Aloe Vera has fantastic healing properties for the skin. It comes from the aloe barbadensis plant. Scientists are not completely sure how it works but they do know that the gel contains gummy substances that form soothing natural emollients. It is rich in a chemical called bradykininase ( a painkiller) and it is also rich in anti-inflamatory compounds. It soothes itching, dilates blood vessels and increases blood flow, therefore promoting quicker healing. Aloe vera is great for burns ... more
