Amtrak? more like scam don't track!

AMTRAK Needs to be investigated by watchdog

Advantages: Absolutely None at all
Disadvantages: No service offered at all except of robbing me of £6

Utterly poor service, i could not believe the time it took them in order to deliver my parcels. I have now changed my parcel delivery company that I use to something that i had recommended from a friend. They charge cheaper rates and get here twice as fast. One of my pacakges turned up wet. and i dont just mean wet i mean soaked through. I had to take it to a 'local depot' in order for them to take a look at it and refund my item. Advantages: sitting in doors all day watching daytime tv ermmm make that a few days

...online consignment tracker on the Amtrak website said that the TV was 'with driver' (i.e. in the van)... ALL DAY. Then at 6pm it said 'out of time'. I rang up the next day asking why the package wasn't delivered. (It only took a couple of minutes to get through, fortunately). The person at the Amtrak depot said "I'm sorry, we couldn't get a driver that day." This immediately raises two questions: (a) How can a company claim to offer "next day delivery" ...
...package? (b) Why did the Amtrak website say the package was 'with driver' when it was actually in the depot all the time? I've decided to pick the TV up from the depot (which is only a couple of miles away fortunately) because I don't trust Amtrak to be able to actually deliver it. dabs are going to refund the difference between the next day delivery charge and their standard delivery charge. Amtrak - the worst delivery company in the UK!

The is the second incident I've had with this company. I gave them the benefit of the doubt first time around. After 6 days my parcel hadn't arrived so I went online and tracked it (the only good part of the company). It said it had been with the driver for 5 days. It tried to ring to find the problem. The customer service help line is very misleading. Most options lead to a recorded message. To speak to someone I had to ring sales. They informed me that they coundn't find me and that not all drivers had satnav!!! If I hadn't rung it wouldn't have stayed in the depot for days before being sent back to the sender. 2nd time this has happened! ...

Ordered a new computer monitor screen from Microdirect two weeks ago, and they dispatched same day. A week went by with no sign of delivery. Phoned the supplier, and was depressed (based on previous experience) to find that their courier was Amtrak. Sure enough, on checking their tracking website, I found that they were claiming to have tried to deliver twice, and that they'd left a card (they didn't). After further repeated failures to deliver, I've given up and asked Microdirect to take their monitor back. I dread having to go the Amtrak depot to pick anything up, as their staff are not only inefficient but downright rude. Awful company - or at least an awful depot in my area (East London). ...

Amtrak Bumpers Farm Chippenham. Don't listen to the moaners, the groaners and those who have nothing better to do that write reviews (Lady P) Brilliant service, Missed the delivery in the morning, rang the helpline was told the package would be there by 4pm. Arrived at the Depot at 4-15pm. Identified myself and the guys helped me put the heavy parcel into the car If you look at other companies they all get bad reviews (look at BA & Term 5 they get bad reviews and people are still flying BA) ...
