Animal Farm is one of the most widely read and known novels by George Orwell. Opinion
Animal Farm, which was originally rejected for publication by TS Elliot in 1944, has since understandably gain respect as a classic piece of literature.
Although based originally on the Russian Revolution and Stalin's control, this is a story which easily fits into today's society and is comparable with the political world of today.
Animal Farm presents the view that although the "system" is of a strong and basically good ...

George Orwell’s Animal Farm is a literal masterpiece unmatched in its sarcastic portrayal of our exploitive political systems.
This book is mostly seen as a satire on communism, especially the Russian Revolution, but it’s more than just a satire of one particular political system. Orwell's short novel Animal Farm is about symbolic value, and as Orwell himself explained: "it is the history of a revolution that went wrong". The novel can be seen as the historical analysis of the causes of the failure of communism, or as a mere fairy-tale; in any case it tells a good story that aims to prove that human nature and diversity prevent people from being equal and happy.

Animal Farm is set on an English farm called Manor Farm, (which represents the Russian empire), owned by Mr Jones, (who represents Tsar Nicholas II). The story blends two types of storytelling - fable and allegory. The story concerns the rebellion of the farm animals and it is written to mimic the Russian Revolution, (1917), and to express the hate of tyranny felt by the writer, George Orwell.
The story begins when Mr. Jones ... ...They re-name Manor Farm as Animal Farm, (U.S.S.R). It is after the animals' initial enthusiasm that we begin to see that the revolution will drift away from the initial ideals that were common to the animals.
