...but I do know that Anusol gave some welcoming relief.

How it started
--------------------
Over the last six months or so I have had an increasing itch up my backside! Im not really sure how to say it without being too crude but there you go. It was uncomfortable for me and te uncomfortableness was getting worse and worse because the more I was itching the worse the inflammation was getting. It was indeed getting embarrassing ... ...secretly tucked a tube of anusol in the trolley (hiding it under my currant buns to avoid embarrassment). THe main embarrassment I got that day was stupidly choosing a checkout with a cute young lady behind it. I had forgotten I had put it in my trolley and when she came to ring it up I got a funny look and I was mortified. I dont think I've ever gone so red in my life.

Advantages: Works brilliantly on that tender area Disadvantages: none
Haemorrhoids are a particularly uncomfortable and sometimes extremely painful ailment. They are more often called piles and many suffer from this disorder regularly. There are many wives tales associated with the condition, but there is no proof that they are caused by any of the tales you may have encountered especially the sitting or hot or cold surfaces. Haemorrhoids are caused by the swelling of veins surrounding the lower internal part of the ... ...much that they are forced out of the back passage and are left protruding as very tender areas. It is not a pleasant subject to talk about so I apologise for any uncouthness that may emerge
As the swelling increases so does the pain as one has to commit to a bowel movement. Sitting and sometimes even just walking can be excruciating and your swelling rubs on your body and your underwear. It is most definitely not a very nice thing to have. One of ...

Advantages: works fast Disadvantages: could get the giggles trying to use it
...went off to collect my Anusol from the Chemists. Whilst this cream is available over-the-counter I got mine on prescription as I’m still entitled to free prescriptions until my son is one year old. Therefore I am unable to comment on the price. On arrival at home I opened the box to find a 23g tube of Anusol cream and a rather odd looking plastic nozzle. After reading the instructions I discovered that this cream should be used in the morning, ... ...– but what was the nozzle for?? Further investigation revealed that this 5cm nozzle was to be inserted into the back passage for the relief of internal piles. This was certainly an interesting experience, never having been into that type of thing in bed, and my husband could only wonder in the giggles coming from the bathroom. Trust me, you’ll probably giggle too if you have the ‘pleasure’ of using this cream for internal ...

Advantages: Quick and Effective Relief Disadvantages: Method of Application - Read Op
...~ Description ~
Anusol is produced in three different forms – suppositories, ointment and cream. I used the cream (23g) and this is what the opinion is written around.
The cream comes in a box roughly 4 x 1 x ½ inches which is coloured in green and white, the tube inside the box is about an inch shorter and is also coloured in green and white. The cream inside the tube is a murky creamy colour and could only be described as having a fragrance ... ...~ Application ~
When applying the cream you need to wash the affected area and dry carefully with a soft towel. When dry you can rub the cream in or attach a plastic nozzle to the end of tube, then insert this into your rectum and squeeze the tube gently until you can feel the cold sensation (and boy is this cold!). Make sure that you wash the nozzle thoroughly with hot soapy water after use.
The cream needs to be re-applied morning and night and ...

Advantages: works for me Disadvantages: won't work for everybody
...Back to the treatment then, anusol is vanishing cream. It gets to work straight away soothing the itching and gradually shrinks them down until they have completely disappeared. You put it on morning and evening and every time you've been to the loo. (On the tube it says after each evacuation, which always makes me snigger childishly) It won't stain your undies or bedclothes and it has quite a nice, sweet smell (a bit like fresh cream so be sure ... ...soon as you use it for the first time you will notice a difference, as it is very soothing and you will be a lot more comfortable.
I first used this about fifteen years ago after the birth of my first child and it really does work. You can buy it over the counter but you will more than likely have to ask for it so if you're the type to embarrass easily make sure you go in when the chemist is quiet or you're liable to encounter a few sniggers. I was prescribed Anusol the next time that I suffered the itching and soreness especially when, well you know, going to the bog.
The tube of ointment came with its own applicator that was a nozzle that fitted over the end of the tube. You had to stick it where the sun don’t shine and squeeze some of the ointment out so that it coats the affected blood vessels. Haemorrhoids are when the blood vessel walls weaken and form a bubble ... ...that put extra pressure on the weakened blood vessel.
I don’t know what a tube costs these days as it is years since I have had to buy one but for the less severe case of haemorrhoids I would recommend trying Anusol before that embarrassing meeting with the doctor. ...

...Anyway, there's no need! This anusol cream can get rid of any itching or soreness that you have. The box tells you to put it on at night in the morning and after each bowel movement.
