Despite the fact that my first generation iPod spectacularly stopped working for no reason only a year or so after I bought it and that my subsequently purchased second generation iPod nano was temperamental at best, I was still intrigued by the iPhone and finally took the plunge and got one a few months ago now. These apple earphones with remote and mic came with my iphone 4 and these are a lot easier to use and help control your iphone without having to take it out of your pocket. These Apple earphones are the same standard ear-bud style that comes with all ipods, the only difference is that there is a mic and remote on the cable that is roughly 2cm long. The remote control feature allows you to adjust the volume, be it on a call or while you are listening to your music and they also acts as a play and pause buttons.
