Advantages Advantages Smooth, curvaceous, multi functional pad with no buttons. Classy and unique looking!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Pricey, not as "smooth" in all operations, not rechargeable, could be smaller & lighter.

When I first bought my Apple Mac I wasn't that taken with many of the "after purchase," accessories I could buy to make my new acquisition easier on the eye. For those who love to colour coordinate, an Apple Mac computer is essential and being one of very few companies who were first to label everything with their well known Apple icon. It's a wonder that Apple haven't gone out of business with their abilities for buyers to custom build exactly what they want not what the computer bean counters and marketing department "think" you should have based on your budget. Whilst companies such as ... more

Advantages Advantages Sleek & stylish design, ease of use.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Short battery life, not compatible with PCs.

One of my favourite christmas presents was the new Magic Mouse for my iMac. I had become an Apple convert towards the end of last year, when I purchased the latest iMac, and had been very impressed with the Mighty Mouse that I had received with it. Then the Magic Mouse came along, and made me realise its predecessor’s many flaws. Packaging, price, and availability It comes in a very smart clear perspex case which is not much bigger than the mouse itself. As you remove the mouse, a piece of white dividing plastic is revealed, and underneath this is a cute little instructions booklet, nine pages ... more

Advantages Advantages Looks great! Great simple to use features

Disadvantages Disadvantages Your bank manager wont approve of the virus you caught of Apple!!!

I think Apple products must be some sort of virus. Like many people after going on a cruise they say they will not be doing anything else- which has happened to us as we are of on another in August. It is very much the same story with relationship with Apple products. At first I never was interested in Apple until I bought an Iphone and was very happy with it. I then needed a laptop- So of I went to PC world- bought a MacBook pro and handed over £1000! I then proceeded to buy an Apple Magic Mouse and further software for the Mac. It is therefore rather like a virus embedded into the brain once ... more

Advantages Advantages Attractive and functional new design; better battery life; well built

Disadvantages Disadvantages £55 price tag; Mac only; no rechargeable batteries

What is it? Apple's latest bluetooth mouse, featuring Multi Touch technology. There is one physical button, clicking on the left hand side produces a left click, clicking on the right produces a right click. There is now no longer a scroll wheel (as in the previous Mighty Mouse); instead you can scroll by dragging one finger up/down/left/right on any part of the surface of the mouse. Additionally you can swipe left or right with two fingers to go backwards or forwards in the browser history. What I expected Having used the multi touch trackpads on the Macbook range, and the iPhone I had ... more

Advantages Advantages Simple, stylish, wireless and multi touch

Disadvantages Disadvantages Missing some key features

The Apple Magic Mouse is a very elegant and stylish mouse and is the best mouse I have ever used. It is also simple to use and setup and it feels great in the hand. However it isn't perfect. When I first attempted to connect the Magic Mouse to my iMac, it didn't want to get past the stage of connecting and pairing, but after a reboot it paired perfectly and it hasn't stopped working since. In System Preferences, you can enable right click, turn scroll momentum on or off (I keep it on because it looks nice), change how to screen zoom and enable/disable left/right two finger swipes. Right ... more

Advantages Advantages sensitive, multi functional, light weight, stylish

Disadvantages Disadvantages Full use of the mouse features will vary on different mac os systems

A year ago I bought a 13" macbook pro from pc world. Unfortunately the Macbook didn't come with a mouse (probably due to the fact it has a multi-touch pad built into it) so I decided to splash out and pay for the brand spanking new "Magic Mouse". At the time I paid around £60 for the mouse, but i'd just spend £1000 on a laptop so the price didn't really phase me. I'll be honest the wireless mouse did excite me quite a bit, it came in a plastic container with some mini plinth inside the case that held the mouse in place; it was somewhat over the top, but i liked it! The actual design of the ... more

Advantages Advantages Great design, very good built quality, multi touch gestures

Disadvantages Disadvantages Price, hand cramps after hours of use

The Apple Magic Mouse comes complete with 2x AA batteries, stored in a very slick plastic box where it is held in place with clear sticky tabs. Pairing was done in about 10 seconds after which searching for an Apple software update took about another 5 minutes. I run the last of the G5 PPC iMacs, so I can only go as far as Leopard on the operating system. Some of the scrolling options are slightly limited compared with the Intel processor iMacs and Lion, in that the vertical scrolling has no 'weight' behind it, allowing the list or image to freewheel for a moment or two. I flick my finger and ... more

Advantages Advantages Very responsive, easy to use and aesthetics

Disadvantages Disadvantages Price and uncomfortable for long periods of use

I have owned and used the Apple Magic mouse for about a year and a half now and over all I am very impressed! The mouse looks fantastic, the body of the mouse is constructed from aluminium and the top surface is beautifully smooth and responsive and the Mac OS X gesture support works really well, you can control the operating system using finger gestures and I have found that it really does enhance the user experience. However, the mouse does take some time to get used to, it took me a while to find a comfortable position in order to use the mouse as it is very flat and does not comfortably ... more

When i was in the apple store buying my new computer had to argue with myself as to whether or not a mouse is worth the £56 they were asking. i bit the bullet and bought the magic mouse. and soon as i opened the box i have fallen in love with the sleek design and simplicity of this beautiful piece of kit. as far as looks go the minimalist white glass topped with a grey apple logo with a grey underneath, it is so stylish and simple. a futuristic look on my desktop. i love it it is so simple to use, the bluetooth connectivity of the mouse attached itself to the new computer with out me even ... more

Advantages Advantages Multi-Touch Features, Long battery life, bluetooth, design

Disadvantages Disadvantages Too short, scratches easily, expensive

The Apple Magic Mouse is an outstanding mouse. Perfect solution for an everyday user Mac user. With it's built-in multi-touch features, surfing the web has been absolutely amazing. It has scrolling built-in, and you can also go a page back or forward. I personally, have been using this mouse daily and as I said before it's outstanding. The built-in multi-touch features are: scrolling, changing between pages, and accessing your mission control (OSX Lion). The only down side to this mouse is the fact that the curved glass on top scratches very easily and that is has a very low design, so I'm ... more
