    My husband recently bought an iPad 2 and as he is known as gadget man amongst our friends he has to get everything little gadget associated with the iPad as well. One of the things he bought for it was the smart cover which is basically a cover which keeps the iPad safe and protected. I wanted him to get the pink cover but as expected got a big fat no to that suggestion so he just purchased a black cover.     I recently purchased a brand new iPad as a little treat for myself. I had decided before buying that I was going to buy myself a cover for the iPad to keep it shiny and new for as long as possible. I wanted to buy an official Apple cover as because I was spending so much on the iPad, I wanted a cover that would fit it perfectly and protect it well. There are 2 types of the Apple smart cover available, the polyurethane and the leather. The polyurethane style is available in 5 colours - dark grey, grey, pink, green and blue.     Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive, doesn't cover the back, doesn't offer much all round protection for your Ipad, gimicky.

    As I work in an electrical retailers, I was in a fortunate position to be one of the first people to be able to get an Ipad 2. I was under strict instructions by my OH to put one aside....or else if I came home empty handed then that's it, my bags would be packed and I'd be out on the streets....he was joking obviously....although, he would have went into a major sulk if I hadn't have been able to get one *rolls eyes* Anyhow, along with this holy grail of gadgets, I was also instructed to buy one of these Smart Covers to go with it, apparently this was 'the' item all self respecting Ipads were ... more

    For Christmas I was given an Ipad 2 and I must say that it is a great invention and I am more than happy with it. I was a little disappointed at first that the new ipad was released a few months later, but after some mixed reviews I am glad I was given the Ipad 2. I have over the past few months been treating my Ipad to some new accessories to protect it and make sure that it stays in the best condition possible.     When Apple announced the new iPad 2, it also announced that it was going to release a series of smart covers for the it. These come in both polyurethane and leather, and the model I bought was the black leather one, as the polyurethane ones only come in a series of colours I believe don't look that good, such as bright orange and blue. In comparison the more subdued leather covers looked better but at a higher cost. The cover does what it says on the tin, protecting the screen from scratches.     Advantages Advantages Design, colour/material choice, can be used as iPad stand

    Disadvantages Disadvantages price, no protection for rear of device.

    I was, at first, quite sceptical of this product. The fairly high price tag and the fact I didn't trust Apple a huge amount made this a challenging purchase. But after spending a few weeks using it, it really does complete the iPad experience. It works by covering the front of your iPad, sticking to the side using magnetic plates. This doesn't damage the iPad and it can be removed at any time - good for when shooting video etc. The cover comes in sections and enables you to use the cover as a stand - its main selling point in my opinion.     Disadvantages Disadvantages a few flaws such as micro fibre lining, and the strength of the magnet hinge

    iPad Smart Cover - Green I bought my iPad a smart cover the day I bought the iPad because, like many of us, I am very clumsy. No matter how hard I try to look after my gadgets they all seem to get scratched sooner or later. I liked the idea of the smart cover because it wakes up and sleeps your iPad when you open and close the cover. I also liked that the cover can be folded to allow the iPad to be stood up like a TV screen or lay down like a keyboard for when typing.     This is a brilliant little bit of kit.and I ceratinly would not be without mine Somewhere to store your Ipad, in the main it acts as a screen defender and to some degree can prevent the screen from getting scratched or damaged and the twist for me is that it turns into a sort of lecturn to enable one to do one's work comfortably I picked mine up in a well known electronic store here in Manchester in England and I was extremely pleased with the price, I did not think it was too expensive and I would thoroughly reccomment it to anyone with an Ipad The other good thing about this is that it is ... more

    When I decided to treat my partner to the new Ipad 3 back in March, I thought if I am going to spend £400 on it I might as well spend an extra £35 and buy the smart cover to protect it. When I received it I looked at it twice; this is because for some strange reason I thought and expected that the cover would at least protect the whole of the Ipad not just the screen!!! So I was disappointed because if I am going to protect the Ipad, especially as it is not always kept in the house but travels around a lot, surely it needs a back cover too!     I think Apple has gone over the top with the iPad. It's an amazing tablet for business and personal needs. Along with the iPad, they released a cover for the screen. The cover is $39 from Apple's website and comes in multiple colors. I was quite upset that to buy the black cover, you had to get the leather version. I'm also upset that it doesn't cover the back of the device. The cover attaches via magnets on the left of the iPad and is very secure. It can fold into a triangle for a typing stand that works very well. I use the "video watching stand" feature for talking on FaceTime. The case ... more
