I swore I wouldn't be a sheep; that's not what I do. Besides, I was content with what I already had, so why should I bother changing it? Sadly, sometimes in life we don't get to control our own actions, and this was one of those times! I had had a Nokia smartphone for just less than a year, and I was still ecstatic. I am reviewing the iphone 3GS 8GB. I am no expert with technology at all, I am a bit ditzy and just class myself as an average buyer. I do not understand all these jargons that companies use to show off their phones and I do not keep up to date with it all. I do not use my phone for business purposes at all, so hopefully those like me will understand and get some benefit out of this in some way. About: I have never been one to keep up with technology these days because of the awfully high prices and new editions coming out every few months; I don't see the point. Advantages Everything!
Disadvantages poor battery life when using apps, the initial cost of the phone

I wanted an I Phone for ages, and I was lucky enough to receive one as a gift from my partner. I have owned my I Phone since last May now and I absolutely love it. When I first received it, it looked a bit too complicated for me and I did wonder if I would get maximum usage out of it. However, after the first couple of weeks it became obvious that I was going to love it and I have been hooked on it ever since. I have a few different phones that I use for work and another of the phones I use is the Apple iPhone 3GS. The Apple phones are great and the iPhone is very well known for being one of the best. I hadn't had an iPhone up until this one but even though it isn't the newest model, I do actually quite like it. It is a nice design and I can get all of the features I want and really a lot of the more modern extras I probably wouldn't use anyway so this one seems to have the right amount of everything for me. I've always said "i'm not getting a stupid touch screen phone because they irritate me". Then my poor Nokia E63 died on me. So I went to the 3 store and asked them what I should get as I had no experience with phones and needed something to be able to email with. Obviously they directed me straight to the Iphone 4s which I told them to bugger off because I'm not paying almost £50 a month for a phone contract. That's just stupid. I Received my iPhone 3gs as an upgrade at the start of this year and I really was not looking forward to a phone that does 100-1 things as I am happy with simple phones that you can call or send messages as surely this is the use for a mobile phone. I was surprised on how stylish the phone is simple yet looks elegant and expensive. The phone is very easy to use I was a little worried at first as it is a touch screen but it is not over sensitive like a lot of phones seem to be. Disadvantages no flash on camera. only can connect to other iphones using bluetooth other than a vehicle

I originally had this iphone 3gs due to an upgrade my contract did me which was on vodafone due to me dropping my old phone down the loo (I know stupid of me) The iphone 3gs in my opinion i would recommend it to anyone. It is the best phone i've ever owned myself. Some of the best features on phone:internet amazing especially if you have the download app's from the app store (which most are free) e.g. facebook, ebay.Collecting your emails. Great Phone As Long as It's Been Recently Charged 12/03/2011

Advantages Wide range of apps some of which are extremely useful when your on the go, Good looking phone
Disadvantages Battery time like all smart phone isn't that good, Phone can get marked and scratched quite easily

I had my Iphone 3GS 8gb for years and it only recently broke due to me not being gentle with it and dropping it quite a few times so the case ending up cracking. However I don't think this is so much a problem with Iphones, well not from my experience anyway as I think all phones are very prone to breaking if they get dropped, why I always tried to keep mine it is protective case but unfortunately it wasn't in it once or twice when it got dropped. However I would advise anyone getting an iphone to do what I should have done and always make sure the phone is in a case as even if you don't drop ... more

In a brief, the iPhone 3GS is a fast and capable smartphone that is best for someone who enjoys a capitative touch screen and extremely easy User Interface. Hardware The hardware of this smartphone is very nice for something of its time. The screen is bright however it is a fingerprint magnet and is defiantly, in my opinion, not HD. iPhone 3Gs the good value buy in the iPhone range 16/01/2011

Advantages Simple and easy to use, quite fast, no antenna issues
Disadvantages Not the latest model, memory capacity

I brought my iPhone 3GS in August as an upgrade from a Nokia E71. At the time I had to choose between the just released iPhone 4 and the just released 3Gs 8Gb. So this review is biased towards choosing between the two as myself like many other people may well have the same conundrum. The iPhone 3Gs 8Gb has a ARM cortex cpu running at 600mhz and 256mb of internal ram as well as the 8Gb of space for music, photo's and apps ect. A 3.15 mega pixel camera and weighs 315g with a battery time of 300 hours standby 12 hours talk time and 30 hours playing music. Visually the 3Gs looks exactly the same ... more
