    Introduction I admit that I was a tad late to get my hands on Apple's fabled iPhone.. Because I was never keen on blowing hundreds on something that was masquerading as an essential item when in truth its a luxury.     iPhone, do you? Where would I be without my iPhone? I remember my first phone, it was a huge brick type thing that made calls and did nothing else. Now I can plan my social life, check my Facebook, play games, check the weather, watch videos, etc all on one little device. I have the iPhone 2 3G with 8GB. It is probably a year or so old now but I love it and at the moment have no plans to upgrade although I am very tempted by the new white coloured iPhone 4!     Disadvantages Disadvantages battery life could be better, attracts fingerprints, memory to small, very expensive

    I'll start by saying that this is my boyfriends phone (although not for much longer as he's getting a free upgrade to the 16gb iphone 3Gs next week) although I use it alot because my phone is a pay as you go and he gets free texts, calls and internet so I figure I'll use his phone and save myself some money! I can conclusively say I'm not one of 'those' Apple fans - I don't think Apple produce the best products in the world and I don't blindly buy every new product they put on the market.     It was all shiny and nice and new when the iphones fad first hit the market, but that's what it was, a fad. After two years (Length of the phone contract) of being stuck with the apple technology i can category say that Mr Apple, our honeymoon phase is over, i'm switching to Nokia next week and i can't wait. I'm not the type of person who's good at being told what to do, i generally do the opposite, and so I've found the limitations of using an apple product very restricting primarily due to itunes.     I had my iPhone 3G 8GB for just under 2 years, and have to say it was one of the most essential pieces of kit I owned. It has the space to store over 1,000 songs, plus a wide range of fun and helpful applications, allows me to access my work and personal emails, organise my calendar... and it's also a phone! First of all, the iPhone 3G looks and feels great - it's a sleek and cool design, very "aesthetically pleasing", and there is so much power packed into such a small space.     I've been using a second hand iPhone 3G 8GB for 6 months now and it's going strong with no signs of wear and tear despite being dropped numerous times! Not so much as a scratch on either the casing or screen. As for the workings of the phone these are all still in perfect working order too. I love the wide range of apps available for the phone meaning I have loads at my fingertips. Games to while away a boring bus journey, music for during a workout, fitness apps to record goals/achievements, the list goes on and on and I could be here all day.     I managed to get an iphone 3g late 2012 as a early christmas present from my other half, i only had it for a few weeks but heres what i thought of it. Features: there are alot of features for the iphone 3g although, it costed me a bomb in data charges as i was downloading games and apps to keep me going, i did find some really good games that arent avalible on an andriod phone, i mostly fell in love with the coin slot games that are usually on the piers, i found that the facebook and twitter apps worked perfected and had no problems with the apps at all.
