Apple iPod Video 30GB - White
iPod - Probably the world's best known MP3 player, designed and marketed by Apple in California.
I have a white iPod Video 30GB purchased for £184.99 in Jersey. I had the advantage of purchasing the product tax free and at a slightly further reduced price, as this version of the iPod would usually retail for between £220-£250 in the U.K., dependent upon were you buy from. It looks like it would be cheaper to purchase ... ...something more practical from the apple store, as you are unable to access the control dial with the case that is provided and need to remove the iPod from the protective sleeve in order to do so.
There are a number of additional accessories available, from small cost products, such a different coloured case shells and protective cases (very reminiscent of mobile phone accessories), to more expensive products, such as SoundDock Music system, acting ...

...ounces (thanks goes to the Apple website for providing this information), the 30gb iPod is, I believe, the perfect size - you will never feel like you are dragging a house brick around, but also won't spend half your time patting your pockets to check that it is still there. For those of you planning to watch movies/tv shows on your iPod, the Apple website tells me that the screen is a 2.5 inch (diagonal) colour LCD with LED backlight, none of that ... ...the train/bus etc.
While Apple advertises white and black versions of the 5G iPods this only relates to the colour of the front cover, the back of all iPods are silver, which looks lovely when you first get it out of the box but is very prone to scratching. I would highly recommend anyone to get one of the many covers which are available - personally I went for the Agent 18 cover which protects the whole iPod apart from the click wheel and lock ...

...technologically more advanced, than their Apple counterparts, and concluded that the only reason iPods had such a strangehold on the market was because of the sheep mentality of the consumer and their gullability for the latest fad. The sound is perfect, the display screen is an absolute dream (I almost screamed when I realised that I actually owned a player with a colour screen! I had of course been used to tiny Creative black-and-white display screens which now look so old-fashioned) and the player itself just looks magnificent.
There are three things which I particularly love about this player. ...

If you scroll down my reviews you will see a review for the Sony Vaio. Please read that one first, as it will make this review much more understandable.
Ok, so I sold out, joined the masses and bought myself an ipod. Worse still, I bought it after seeing my friends and thinking "ooooh, pretty". So despite the profoundly deep questions about myself my purchase has raised, I shall carry on and review this little gadget.
Ipod is fast joining Walkman ... ...I actually had someone ask me the other day what the difference was between an ipod and an mp3 player. Starting with the look of the thing. It is a handsome brute. Perhaps a little too handsome actually. I bought mine in black, in the logic that it wouldn't be tattooed with dirt marks after 2 minutes. The back side of it is in chrome, which again, looks stunning. But because of the high gloss finish, simply picking the thing up and taking it out ...

...after the other until the apple logo flashes on the screen- this is supposed to be what you have to do once in a while if the Ipo'ds playing up, not almost everytime i want to turn it on! However I think it is just my ipod that does this, I just can't be bothered to send it back to the manufacturers as I have heard service can take a while. Stupid of me not to, but i'll live with it. ...to get the one from Apple for £15. Also, the battery life is not great, but i suppose thats to be expected if you want something as small as the iPod Video. I have had my Ipod for about 10 months now as my husband bought it for me in the US (which is where they are considerably cheaper i must add) and I love it, I take it to the Gym, in the car, on hols etc etc. Small, compact and fab!!

Apple have done it again. they have produced yet another great MP3 player. this one with a colour screen, photo capability and a good sized hard drive. They can be used on either a Mac or awondows PC.
The ipod Photo comes with two variations. one comes with a 20 GB hard drive, and the other with a 60 GB. When i first read bout the iPod I knew i had to get one, excitedly saved my money for months and finally bought one, great!
