    iPod's must be the most hyped up MP3 players there are. The two words (iPod and MP3 player) have almost become synonymous, like vacuum cleaner and hoover. That's not to say there aren't very decent alternatives to the iPod but Apple have really managed to get themselves at the top of the list... The iPod Mini is essentially an MP3 player.     Disadvantages Disadvantages Short battery life, random turn-offs, superfluous functions, need to convert music to iTunes first

    I bought the Apple iPod mini 6GB in silver in summer 2005 for £124.99 from Curry's, and I was initially very pleased. The iPod looked sleek, chic, and very cool just as advertised on TV and the Apple website. However, within a few weeks of usage, I soon realised what a big mistake it was. Let's start with the good points... + It's small and slim enough to fit in your pocket.     I bought one of these with my birthday money, I'd wanted an ipod for quite a while, especially a blue one. I guess you could say to start with I was just following a trend, but this trend is something different to the usual ones like tamagotchis, it really isn't the kind of thing that in my opinion is actually going to phase out any time soon.     I always loved listing music, Queen, U2, Thirteen Senses. I listen my favourite music on my pc, on foot, on my little Fiesta, on the radio, at the pub or restaurant.     Well, I'd just bought a 128mb MP3 player and when it broke around 2 weeks later after eating around 30 AA batteries I realised I needed something a little bit more permanent. After careful consideration, I shopped around for a place to buy from and when HMV was sold out I decided to take a trip into boots to cheer myself up.     MP3's have taken the music industry by storm thanks fast internet connections and Apple have jumped onto the bandwagon with the ipod being probably the most recognized portable audio player on the market and now they have updated it even further with this stylish small version. The player itself is made of anodized aluminum and is available in many colours (mine being pink!), it is very hardwearing and seems to be resisitant to both dirt,dust and scratches, it is much smaller than a mobile phone and weighs just 3.7 ounces so as you can imagine it is very easy to misplace like I have done many ... more

    As with many purchases I have made in my life, buying an iPod was a bit of an impulse buy. I had recently recieved my student loan and had a fair bit of what i believed to be disposable income. I was in Virgin megastores in the city centre of Liverpool with my girlfriend and a friend. The bright shiny cases of the iPod drew me in.     The iPod mini! Wow i was so happy when i teared off the wrapping paper and saw the beauty that was the iPod mini inside. It is amazing. I can take it anywhere, its really compact and holds the perfect amount of songs. It is so easy to use and putting the songs on is quick and simple. For the first six months i could find no fault in my perfect little iPod. But one day it all went terribly wrong.     The iPod mini.... I have some problems with this product! Firstly, the lifespan of mine is about 5 minutes! I charge it for lots of different lengths of time ranging from one hour, to whole days at a time and this seems to make no difference! There seems to be a problem with the battery in which it either stores no energy or gets drained amazingly quickly, however, this happened after my years guarentee ran out.... It is true that it holds an phenominal amount of music and, when working, it is every teenage kida best friend! It really is/was a product i could not do without! It's just a shame ... more

    I had wanted an MP3 player for ages and when the Ipod mini came out I decided that it was the Mp3 player for me. I have had my Ipod mini for nearly six months now and it is still in perfect condition. I did have to buy a Iskin for it to keep it protected though. I think that one of the negative aspects to this design is the battery life. I find that it runs out quite quickly. You have to charge the ipod up fully before you can use it. I find that if i charge it up then go to use it a cpule days later the battery life has already started to reduce and i need to charge it agin. Because I use my ... more
