This more modern instalment of the ipod nano is a vast improvement on the previous shape. The shiny chrome backing has gone to be replaced with a modern and cool body colour backing that fits in with the rest of this mp3, this means that it will not ... ...with the resale if ever wanted, as it would look more looked after. Although a vast improvement from before the ipod logo does get scratched and worn away and this is the same with my shuffle but nothing a case won't keep off. I must say at this point I was a bit weary of Itunes, I've heard a few horror stories about people loosing their libraries and not being able to get stuff off it but, look I took the plunge and so far so good but I don't like the way it hijacks all your MP3's and makes them Apple files. It has tiny white earplug style speakers which fit perfectly into your ears, they are quite comfortable and you can barely notice that you have them in most of the time. Well what can i say about the ipod nano, it is one of the best mp3 players. It is of slim design, so no hassle to just slide in your pocket.
ABIT ABOUT THE NANO IPOD 8GB
The nano holds up to 2000 songs, which is easily transfered to your pc, using itunes. It really couldent be easier to use, it all explains itself. The only thing that i found was when i first got my ipod was, all the songs i had on my computer, were instantly added to my ipod. ... ...first start up i had to delete all the songs i did not want on my Ipod off itunes, which believe me took a long time at least 2 hours. Once you have done that then its all set to go and you just add more songs as you go along.
Also i find that the screen scratches pretty easily, and all your finger marks show up at the back of the ipod, as it is a silver metal. This does not clean off that easily, but to prevent that you can purchase a case. The ...

I wanted an Apple iPod from when they were first introduced several years ago, but back then, they were quite expensive, so I was pleased when I received one for my birthday in March.
My iPod Nano is the slimline black 8GB version. It has the capacity to store 2000 songs, which can be either downloaded from CD, via a computer or from the iTunes website, which is a huge music database, each song costing around 70 pence. The convenience of this, means ... ...to pick and choose from an album. I usually find I only ever like one or two songs on an album, so it can be a costly method.
The iPod nano comes with earphones, user guide booklet and USB cable connector, which allows the ipod to "sync" itself to the iTune "library" and also acts as a charger, taking power from the computer it is connected to.

I received this for christmas and was very pleased, Looks great and fits perfectly into your pocket because of it's small size. It has a colour screen and is extremely easy to use. This is smaller and cheaper than other ipods meaning that it does not have as much memory of as many functions. It does not have video playback but it does have 2 in built games under the games section. The Quality of sound is great but if you perfer to listen to your ... ...You can rate all your songs and can make your own personal playlists so that you can listen to only your favourite songs if that is what you prefer. There is a little flick button at the top so that if you accidently hit a button whilst it is in your pocket it won't actually do anything it will just stay at the setting it is at and play through the songs. When the ipod nano was released, people were screptical at its width. They were afraid it would break, which it did, and would scratch, wihich it did. People fell in love with this little jewel of an mp3, but had a few niggles with it, which were starting to turn them away.........Not any more! The nano is back and better than ever. It has a 40% brighter screen, 24 hours f battery life, looks even better, and most importantly-no more scratches! It ... ...lots of music. What has been added is a quik scroll. The nano has double the memory, so double the songs. So it has a special way of quikly finding songs with the letters. It is still £180, but at double the memory it suddenly becomes much better value. Unfortuneately, it still cant take videos, but at least it interacts well with the new iTunes, the largest music store on the web. ...after swearing never to touch Apple products with a double length bargepole. Instead I brought a cheap mp3 player. Then i discovered it wouldn't play DRM enabled music, and it wouldn't arrange them, and i couldn't shuffle the music. Well suffice to say i decided to go a for a big boys mp3 player. As I had used iTunes and had liked it I thought hmmm iPod.
From the word go the machine impresses. The box is tiny and the iPod even smaller, a sort of ... ...this machine looks great.
So can you use it, well at first I had problems navigating, then i realised that that was because i was being too privative. To scroll up and down the many menus you simply stroke the donut in the required direction. Its so responsive its unbelievable. in fact if it wasn't for the volume limiter (programmable of course) I'd have accidentally blown my eardrums by now!

Buying one of these to replace my old iPod Mini, i held it in my hand for the first time... it felt amazing: the size of the device is incredible, feeling like i am holding fresh air.
Owning the black 8gb version provides me with more than enough storage space; usng my iPod probably 3+ hours a day, it has become my life, i couldnt do without it.
The user interface is very simple and easy to use, locating between menu very quickly. Compared to other ... ...far superier than any other, with it holding no serious competitors.
Its integration with itunes i also find to be a very good advantage, as it is a very easy piece of software to use with only windows media player as a competitor, although i find this very difficult to user, and constantly find myself looking for ways of doing things, things which i could do instantly with apples iTunes.
Overal this is a very good quality made piece of technology, ...

a good device for those who have a small amoun t of music but for those who have more than 1000 tracks i recomend getting the 30 GB one as it is better value for money and you have less chance of running out of space in the future like i did. after the period of about 3 months i noticed that it kept freezing up (mostly whilst flicking througth tracks on shuffle) which is highly inoying.
overall a good product with many great features and a quality design but let down in a few areas ...
