Advantages: Very Good Picture and Sound Quality Disadvantages: Can Be A Little Difficult To Use On iTunes
...portable mp3 player from the apple company. The iPod Nano is a part of the large iPod family , along with other models such as "The iPod Shuffle" or "The iPod Touch". This amazing little gadget uses flash memory just like the small and handy "iPod Shuffle".
The iPod Nano also uses the "click wheel" for me to select your favourite songs and videos. When this impressive little piece of technology was released , it came as quite a surprise to some ... ...of apple iPod's and mp3's. This did not shock me as their must be millions up on millions of people out there in the world who would love to get their hands on one of these !!!.

Introduction-
Love them or hate them Ipods are an integral part of our lives and there are few people that dont own one or at the very least know someone who has one.Everyday seems to bring a new addition to the range with more features more memory and smaller size, but also more horror stories of ipods crashing, freezing and losing hundreds of their owners treasured song collections.Reliability has been a major problem for the Ipod and you don't ... ...peoples experiences both good and bad.Having recently updated my old ipod shuffle i have decided to do a review on the ipod nano video(3RD Generation)just like memebers of the family they now have generations(just a shame they dont last as long!).Hopefully you will find my review helpful and informative and i look forward to your constructive feedback both good and bad.

...to get it from the Apple website you can make the most of their free engraving service. This allows you to write a message (if it is a present) or personalize it with your name. What they do they basically laser the inscription at the back of the ipod (on the metal surface).

It might be just me but although I do like this ipod I feel it is just too tiny to lose, too fragile to handle… first thing I did when I bought it was to get a silicon case to protect it! As mentioned the packaging is very small, just bigger than a packet of cigarettes of 20. you get your Ipod, your earphones ...

Advantages: It's tiny, Apple sexiness, easy to use, clear screen and interface. Disadvantages: Relies on net access too much, can work out expensive for Apple accessories
...in to the small space apple have managed to fit 8Gb of memory for storing your favourite tunes, videos and piccies on.
The one bug bear I had with the nano is that Apple have seen fit not to include an installation disk or decent manual. Before you can do anything with it you need to download the iTunes software from Apple. Now don't get me wrong, for most people this isn't an issue, but if you don't actually have an internet connection at home ... ...your nano? Simply because Apple can make vast amounts of money by making it so difficult. Your average person is more likely to pay for a film to watch on their nano rather than go through all the hassle of ripping and converting. The irony of it is, that after you've spent ages downloading the film it can actually work out quicker to do the rip/encode method (not to mention it's also cheaper). I admit that for the technophobes then it's probably ...

Advantages: Lots of storage, good sound, new features, video playback Disadvantages: all 2nd gen stuff wont fit, not different enough to warrant purchase
...I guess the people at Apple must have been stumped as to what to do this year. So to make sure they have a \"new\" product in the market they took the existing Ipod Nano, squashed it, rounded it and sent it on its merry way to the shops, just in time for the Christmas rush.
Yes, I was not in desperate need for a new Ipod. My 2nd Generation 4Gb Nano has done me well, if a little scratched on the casing from being stuck in my pocket with coins and ... ...certain hands, but im sure Apple wont admit to that.
The Ipod is now more 'screen' than 'space' and boasts a clear and crisp LCD screen. Its much brighter than the older ipod screen and the colour definition is greatly improved. Its even bigger than the older ipod screen boasting 2 whole inches! If you want to watch full length movies on it, buy a microscope. Its not like going to the cinema!
The controls from the previous generation ipod remain ...

Advantages: Small and light, good sound and video quality. Disadvantages: Quiet alarm and perhaps too thin
This is the second iPod ive owned - I broke the last one, and it was my fault. So I've bought this newer version and I have to say it is brilliant. It is amazingly small and light for what it does - just 6.5mm thick, making it very easy to carry around without it becoming a nuisance. It also makes it easy to fit in your pocket without it looking ridiculous bulging out like the first mp3 players did. However, it is so thin there could possibly be ... ...under any kind of strain - if it got accidentally stood on or something. This hasnt happened to me, but it is something you have to be wary of.
Aparently you can fit 2000 songs on an 8gb ipod, but I dont have this much on mine yet so I couldnt say. Ive got around 650 songs taking up about 2.5gb, so this figure should be about right. However, if you put videos on it, this figure is likely to be reduced dramtically. The battery life is very good - ...

Advantages: Nice menu system, good sound quality & EQ Disadvantages: Overpriced, no card slot, no radio, earphones, itunes
...for a long time avoided Apple products as their ethos seems to focus more on design and compaction rather than functionality or providing a good deal for consumers. So what's good about this player?
Well the display is very clear and bright. The device itself is small and very light. The menu system is quite intuitive and easy to cycle through and I particularly like the way the menu system makes use of multimedia transition effects as it moves ... ...and it seems anti-consumer for Apple to create a device which allows drag & drop but doesn't then allow you to play the files.
There's also a distinct lack of memory upgrade facilities. This iPod has 8GB and that's yer lot. Ok that's a lot of songs but this is a VIDEO player as well and everyone knows video uses a LOT more memory. This is where that card-slot would have been useful. Using something like a Sandisk Vmate would allow you to get content ...

...Since the first iPod from Apple came out people having been fixated on them. My old 4 gig iPod mini gave up the ghost. I was no longer able to charge it so I sold it on ebay for £4 losing around £126 in value!
