Advantages Advantages A large amount of features, really durable, great quality screen, great selection of applications

Disadvantages Disadvantages Occasional slow connectivity, iTunes required

The iPod Touch was really one of those things that I have wanted from the beginning, but have never really been sure about actually getting around to buying. I’m now very glad that I did. The iPod Touch is a device that has inspired many-a-gadget with its sleek applications; brilliant usability and massive amount of usages. Apple started the touch-screen craze, and I’m not surprised to see that they have pushed their product up yet another notch. Quality The quality of the device, both in the screen and the build, is excellent. I’d be hard pressed to say that the screen can be easily damaged ... more

Advantages Advantages very entertaining and cheaper than iphones

Disadvantages Disadvantages battery runs down very quick and screen can be easily smashed

After four long months of being nagged at by my 6 year old daughter for an Iphone, I kind of relented and ended up buying her an Ipod Touch 4g instead due to positive comments I had heard from other people. I have had my Iphone 4 since the week they came out in 2010 and my daughter has been just as addicted as me - mainly with the games... as she has got older she wants to act more grown up and having a phone was one of those things... The great thing about iPod Touch's is they can be easily mistaken for a phone - they can practically do everything! ********** Spec * Black in colour * 8 gig ... more

    Advantages Advantages Good range of apps; camera;

Disadvantages Disadvantages a lot of things

Long technical reviews deter me from reading so I want to simply TOUCH on the may features. I won’t go into the whole background of APPLE but just about everyone knows it’s one of the most highly valued, quality assured and sophisticated brands money can buy. I am actually more of a Samsung girl than an Apple girl. Even though an Apple Ipod classic but be ideal for me seeing as I am obsessed with music and constantly upgrade my Samung for more storage, they’ve never appealed to me. An 8gb will only hold about 1,700 songs. I don’t know why I purchased the Touch; in hindsight, for the £200 it ... more

Advantages Advantages speed of operating system, ease of use, screen resolution, camera, applications.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Wi-Fi range, battery whilst playing movies, browsing the internet.

The original concept of an mp3 player was to allow the user to store and listen to their music on a small device which was completely portable and simple to use. This concept has developed dramatically and mp3 players have now adapted into mp4 players allowing the user to experience video, music and photos all on small handheld devices. The ipod touch sports one of the most revolutionary designs to date amongst the ranks of MP4 players currently available on the market. It has become an instantly recognisable figure in the world of tech-today. It now boasts a whole range of facilities, this ... more

    User recommends the product

Advantages Advantages Fast, good apps, average camera, good web browser, good software

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Tethered to iTunes

First Impressions As soon as I took the device out of the box (which proved a challenge) I was immediately hit by it's good looks and thickness. Being only 7.2mm thick (and owning an iPhone 4) I was struck at how nicely Apple made it fit in the hand, and the chrome back is now flat so the device no longer teeter-totters when you use it on a surface. The front is also now completely black now unlike previous generations where the LCD was clearly visible. I turned the device on and the quality and sheer brightness of the new LED-backlit Retina display amazed me, although there is a slight yellow ... more

Advantages Advantages Good value for money

Disadvantages Disadvantages 8gb not ideal for music lovers; using internet can be slow at times.

I used to have a 4gb ipod nano, which ran out of memory. Instead of buying another nano, I thought an ipod touch seemed like a more interesting option. It's basically exactly the same as an iphone - you can use the internet, download apps, organise music and it has a camera and mic (and more) - the only main differences are that you cannot phone/text people, and you cannot access the internet unless you are in an area with wifi access. This is an advantage for me personally, though - with the amount of time I spend unintentionally surfing the internet, I'd be charged a fortune on an iphone ... more

Advantages Advantages easy to use, lots of apps, good display

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

The ipod touch is by far my favourite electronic right now. I got this as a Christmas present and I am extremely impressed with this gadget. In short; it is easy to use, has an impressive display, and you can never run out of things to do on it, from playing games, listening to the radio, looking at cooking recipes, messaging friends, blogging, and so forth - there is an unlimited amount of stuff to do. There is a huge range of prices that I have seen for the Ipod touch. Mine came from America and was the equivalent to £120, however from what i have seen prices can range from £150-280. It all ... more

Over the years, the iPod Touch had become much more than a mp3 player with some cool features. Apple continues to revolutionize the world of mp3 players with their latest edition, the Ipod Touch 4th Generation. New Features: The new Ipod gains two cameras, one facing forwards for FaceTime, (Apple's video chat program) and one facing outwards. When using the camera or FaceTime app, you are given the ability to switch between the cameras at will (albeit not during video capture). The new iPod also gains full compatibility with iOS 4 which means, among other things, the ability to multitask and ... more

I pod touch, what a device! I really need not say more but I'm going to anyway! I have had one for a few months now and every single day I find myself using it in a new way, MP3 player, Internet, video, games the list really goes on. Now I don’t go around pretending I know everything about this device but my experience is for the more upbeat user who likes a good gadget to get them through the day. Designed by Apple the IPod Touch is slick in looks, something to be really impressed about at just 6.2 cm Width, 11cm High and 0.8 Deep its so prefect to slip in your pocket a go. Some people don’t ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Lags sometimes

What is it? An iPod touch is an iPod, but it has the appearence of an iPhone. As you've likely guessed, it does have a touch screen. The iPod also has lots of other features, including the ability to connect to the internet, record sound and take photos. FaceTime is also incuded, making it possible to make skype calls. What are the features actually like, though? Connecting to the internet: Very easy as long as you're in the same area as a wireless network that you know the password to. My iPod connects within 2 minutes. The iPod has Safari built into it and the page loads quickly. Websites ... more
