    Apple like to advertise their ‘new generation’ iPods, but I’d like to point out that a 2nd Gen. iPod touch is just as good. Granted, it doesn’t have a camera or the newest processors, but having compared it to the 4th Gen. iPods some of my friends own, I can safely say that the difference is minimal. Apple’s touch screens are (without a doubt) top-of-the-range. They respond to the lightest touch, and there is no lag time between sensing the touch, and displaying it on the screen (i.e. if a button lights up in green when pressed, it the screen responds instantly and lights it up as soon as you ... more

    The wife recently bought me one of these "just because". I think it was an expensive thing to buy me, but she did it and i've very happy with it. I had been wanting one for a while, but wasn't too fussy about one. The wife has just recently got an IPhone and although I like the idea of an IPhone I wouldn't like it for a phone as i'd think it would be too hard to text with that tiny little touch keyboard, so an IPhone without the phone part is essentially an IPod Touch. I know this cost around £120. Seems expensive and the larger GB's ones are obviously more expensive as well. This should be ... more

    This Is A Review On Ipod Touch 8GB 2nd Generation I needed a mp3 player that could listen to music without out earphones for when i'm in the house etc. Also i wanted it to have video playback to watch the latest movies play out in front of me. I then on top of all these expectations wanted it to be up to date and look good and stylish, be portable and also one of the most important factors for me...be fun.     Apple Ipod Touch in my opinion is the best mp4 player money can buy. It has a beautiful 3.5 inch screen and is only half a centimetre thick. Stylish innovative and sleek! A work of art! I absolutley love my ipod touch to bits. Since I bought it just over a year ago I have used it alomost every day and I can't imagine my life without it! The ipod is thin, lightweight, robust and beautiful. By far the best ipod ever made. It's more than just an mp3 player which it is very good at with superb sound quality.     I had the 1st Generation Ipod for around 1 year and was pretty much happy with it apart from the fact that it did not have external speakers, so the only was I could listen to any music, video, game, you tube was via earphones. I then had a look at the spec for all the ipods on Apple's website and the newer ipods looked prettty impressive but i knew they were outwith my price range, therefore, I set my mind on the ipod 2nd generation that had external speakers which provided me external speakers and a price I could afford.     Advantages Advantages Has pretty much exactly the same as a basic computer or laptop, it's small and reasonably priced

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Memory is used fairly quickly if you like to have videos and lots of music

    When you hear the word iPod you automaticaly think portable music player don't you, well with the 2nd gen (which is short for generation, meaning which certain type) 8gb iPod touch you get heck of a lot more for your money, with apps ranging from games to calculators, maps to email, you honestly can't go wrong, and with the pre installed app store (not availabe on 1st generation) you can purchase apps anywhere with access to wireless internet. Some apps are free and some are "lite" witic is a demo vesrion of an app you have to pay for, most apps are free but the paid apps usualy cost around £0 ... more

    I have had an iPod touch for about 3 years now. Which I love, lately I haven’t been using it as much because I got my new phone which I use as a music player. I take the iPod touch with me everywhere, it’s great for school, college, university, as you can listen to music between classes, break times, etc. You can even use apps to help you in classes, for example chemistry you could have a periodic table app. The battery life on the device is great, You can listen to music literally for ages, the battery life when using the internet isn’t as good though, you only get a few hours, which is ... more

    I have waited eagerly for this iPod. The base model is practically identical apart from a few changes. A speaker allows for quiet sound to be played from the base of the iPod which is ideal for listening on the bus, with some friends but, the bass is very scratchy on loud output, but nice to see the inclusion of it. The unit, now has a curved back which Apple claims "is easier too hold", but I have no opinion on it myself. The addition of a side volume control is good as well.     Ipod touch is a revolution for MP3 players! The touch screen interface is very very user friendly, my 7 year old couzin can easily manage to navigate himself round the touch scereen interface with no problems. The range of features on all Mp3 players do not even come close to the amount of features you can have on the Ipod touch, with the addition of the app store you can access many of your favorite games which you thought could only be found on your console at home for example you can get need for speed, call of duty, fifa and many more!     The best thing about the iPod touch has to be the games, withs it built in Accelerometre you can steer your car to victory or jump your doodle as far as poosible, recent updates to games such as trenches or Angry birds leaves the consumer with more hours of fun and bug fixes. Whatever sought of person you are or whatever type of interests you have,I will guarente there will be an App for you. As this model only holds 8gb memory, I wouldn't recommend this model for movie or television fans. I would also recommend purchasing a protective case as the back is easily scratched.
