Advantages Advantages Comfortable to type on, compact, stylish, has USB ports, cheap

Disadvantages Disadvantages USB ports only 1.1, shows up dirt more than black keyboards

Introduction -------------------- After finally buying a used Apple PowerMac G4 Cube (one of my favourite Mac designs), I needed to buy a keyboard and mouse with it. The obvious choice was Apple's own keyboard (and Mighty Mouse, review coming shortly). Purchasing -------------------- I brought the Apple Wired Keyboard from John Lewis for £19.00. It came in a nice simple white Apple box with images of the keyboard profiles on each side. Inside the box, you get the keyboard and an extension USB cable. Design -------------------- The keyboard is quite small with hardly any borders, which is great ... more

Advantages Advantages Lovely to use, Very well-built, Very functional, Looks great

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Pricey

If you have an iMac or Mac mini requiring a keyboard, you may be interested in the official Apple keyboard. Even if you have a PC, you can still connect a wired Apple keyboard into your computer using it's universal USB cable. The keyboard is so lovely and smooth to type on, and looks fantastic. It is made of pure quality aluminium and the keys are set firmly in place. You can get several different keyboards including a wired or wireless one. The wired ones can either include the one with a numeric keypad or without, but the wireless one lacks the numeric keypad on the side. I have not had the ... more

Advantages Advantages Separated keys; very nice to type on, very nice to look at (doh!)

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None really

I've just purchased the Apple Snow Leopard Mac Box Set from my local Apple authorised service provider, and decided to buy an Apple keyboard with it. The Apple keyboard is priced around £28.00 - and no matter what keyboard I try I can type the fastest with this keyboard due to the separated keys. Very quiet key stroke during operation and just very pleasant to use. The keyboard enclosure is made from aluminium and even without being too close to the keyboard you can smell the aluminium when you first open the product, but the smell soon wares off. Nothing bad or anything - just saying! I ... more

Advantages Advantages Fast and easy to use!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Expensive for a keyboard!

As well as my wireless logitech keyboard that I own, I also have an Apple Mac that I use for work! The Apple keyboards a simply lovely! Design: With scrumptious curves and the keys spaced out, I can easily type for hours and hours on this wonderful device! The colour scheme that Apple chose for this keyboard is also great and really brightens up my dark home! Since the keyboard is also really slim, it fits anywhere on my desk and even seems to blend directly into my desk! Build Quality: As with all Apple products, the build quality is exceptional! I have used this particular keyboard for years ... more

Advantages Advantages Good Multimedia Keys, Flat Desgin, Very Easy to Type.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Need's OS X Tiger with the latest update or higher, No good on Windows.

This Apple Keyboard has to be one of the best Apple have ever made. First of with the design, Taking after the Mac Book Keyboard style, it feels like typing on Laptop Keyboard. Typing is very quick and easy. The Keyboard is VERY thin and so it's very easy to move around but will stay where it's put. The Keyboard also has multimedia Keys. These Keys work on OS X good and will work on Windows with Boot Camp Drivers. The Keyboard it self works Plug and Play in Windows but only the standard stuff work. The Keyboard has Brightness, Exposé, Dashboard, Track skip, Pause/Play, Mute, Volume Keys and a ... more

Advantages Advantages Thin, Works on all computers (apple or windows)

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Wired

Apple Wired Keyboard I bought the Apple wired keyboard in the new belfast Apple store around two days ago! I bought the wired and wireless version, I also bought a Apple Wired and Wireless Mighty Mouse! I would rather have the wired keyboard than the wireless because the wired keyboard has two USB 2.0 slots on the top sides, the wireless does not have USB 2.0 slots it has the On and Off switch! The good things about the Apple Wired Keyboard is that it works with any Apple or Windows computer. It has two USB 2.0 slots on the top of the keyboard. It works via USB, it is aluminium and very thin ... more

Advantages Advantages Smooth keys, no places for dirt to reside, keys stay clean

Disadvantages Disadvantages USB port is underneath & bulky sticks will make the keyboard wobble slightly

Last March (2006) I bought an iMac, which came with the now old style keyboard. This keyboard was in a type of plastic 'container', which meant bits of food (lets face it, who doesn't eat at their computer!!), stray hairs (I'm balding and have a stressful job!) and dust. This 'container' really was that! All the dirt, grime, dust and others resided under the keys, and no matter how much compressed air spray I used or how many times I took the keys out to clean them, the keyboard always looked filty. I have now upgraded from the previous keyboard, and the new one is very similar to the keyboard ... more

4 Stars Quick review of Apple keyboard by nutcase1963 21/07/2008
I have recently purchased this product and was impressed with the overall design, its slimline look and aluminum enclosure gives it a classier look. Its keys are so smooth to type on and you can access the volume and eject features, brightness and play, fast forward and rewind from the keyboard. I bought mine from the apple website for 29.99 but I am sure you could buy in cheaper if you shop around, but overall a good product and worth the price, Im one very satisfied customer.

Advantages Advantages Looks nice, works with windows

Disadvantages Disadvantages Accumilated muck, hard to type lots

Hello, I bought this keyboard for £19 after seeing a modification where an led was implanted inside and decided to give it a go. After a succesful install i actually tried the keyboard out, it was great for everyday tasks but lots of typing did get annoying as i seemed to slip onto over keys. The keyboard looks great when it came out of the box "nice and white" but it soon accumilated crumbs and i had to purchase a can of air to get them out which soon became tedious and the white faded after lots of use. Also, i must add this is compatible with windows and not just mac although the keys are a ... more
