Advantages Advantages Plenty, if you like peach...

Disadvantages Disadvantages Too sweet, and if you don't like peach, you're going to hate it!

My flatmate isn’t on Ciao. She doesn’t understand why I spend as much time on here as I do, or why I feel the need to travel hundreds of miles to have a beer with a bunch of complete strangers. When I have a challenge, though, she finds it easy to get involved. By “get involved”, I mean “takes the piss”. And the more distasteful she thinks I will find the product under consideration, the more “involved” she gets. And when I told her I’d been challenged by BigYummyAngel to review Archer’s Aqua Peach, she was more “involved” than ever! Rolling on the floor "involving" her ass off, as I believe ... more

Advantages Advantages Light and refreshing (and alcoholic!)

Disadvantages Disadvantages Too moreish (and alcoholic!)

I think I'd better start writing this review before I've finished drinking the whole bottle of this delicious alcoholic drink. It is going down far too well! The Bottle ---------------- Archers Aqua Peach is a 'Sparkling blend of Archers Schnapps with the crisp taste of Peach'. The alcohol content is 5%. It's produced and bottled for the Archers Scnapps Company in London. (address printed on the bottle) One 70cl bottle contains3.5 UK units and has the '18' in a triangle to show the age limit. The bottle is pictured below so I will not decribe it in detail, apart from the fact that the plastic ... more

Disadvantages Disadvantages You need to like Peach

I have a weakness - Ok maybe more than 1 but every weekend on his way home from work my husband stops to buy me…. No not flowers (can’t remember the last time that happened) but Archers Aqua Peach being my choice of drink.. I have at some time over the years drunk most brands of alcopop, bacardi breezers, WKD but usually return to the one that I prefer Archers Aqua. ~Why Archers?~ Archers was quite late onto the alcopops scene being easily beaten by Barcardi and their assorted flavour breezers and despite having a fruit flavoured spirit base, several fruit juice and vodka based drinks made it ... more

    Advantages Advantages bottle, taste, price

    Disadvantages Disadvantages not much alcohol

Archers is famous for producing Archers Peach Schnapps which is a type of distilled alcoholic drink. A lighter option is available in the form of Archers Aqua. Flavours available include Peach and Raspberry. Archers Aqua Peach is described as being "a sparkling blend of Archers Schnapps with a crisp peach taste". It falls into the alcopop genre of drinks coming in at 5% volume of alcohol. It is best served chilled. Archers Aqua comes distinctly packaged in a tall, chunky glass bottle covered by a frosted, white label. The peach variety comes complete with an orange lid and the information on ... more

Advantages Advantages Great taste and aroma, good quality liquor.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Cheaper alternatives

Archers Peach Schnapps is a 21% liquor with a strong peach flavour and aroma. The drink itself is clear in colour and presented in a standard clouded glass bottle, usually sold in 70cl and 1 litre bottles in all mainstream supermarkets and many smaller off licenses. While not popularly drunk on its own like many other liquors such as 'scotch on the rocks', this fruity liquor is best tasted with a mixture of both alcohol, mixers and juices. This makes it an ideal drink to use in many cocktails, such as the famous and well known Sex on the Beach and Ruby Cooler. I would have to say that the most ... more

Advantages Advantages Pre mixed, easy to drink and tastes good.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Too easy to drink! and you have to watch the kids with this one.

Well its that time of year when we’re all thinking of the family and friends who might visit over Christmas, and checking out our stocks of booze and deciding what we need to top up on, and taking a look in the shops to see what’s new, and (if you’re like me) what’s on special offer! Alcopops are fast becoming my favourite type of drink. There is so much variety available, and you don’t have to worry about having the right mixers to go with them or anything. So as well as all the normal bottles like Vodka, Rum & Whisky for those nights when I can be bothered to mix a drink or two (or can con ... more

Advantages Advantages Tastes yummy, very little hint of alcohol

Disadvantages Disadvantages Takes a while to get you drunk as it is an alcopops??

I have only recently discovered this drink and it ha now become my favourite alcopops, it tastes much nicer than the others around. The Price I bought my latest 70cl (the big bottle!) for £2.99 from Tescos. As this is the alcopop don't get excited (I did when I was in the shop before I realised it wasn't the spirit version) and is the peach flavour. This is comparable to the other major supermarkets, although I'm sure I saw it for about £1 in Sainsburys last week. The Bottle It is a very cute looking bottle, mainly in frosted white colour with clear circles cut out so you can see the liquid ... more

Advantages Advantages first molecule tastes alright

    Disadvantages Disadvantages peach overload

I don’t drink alcopops that much. Actually, that’s not true. I don’t drink them at all. And this is not only because a twenty-something male who drinks alcopops, at least in my native Yorkshire, is making a fairly bold statement concerning his sexual orientation. It certainly seems to be the case that unless you can down eleven pints of bitter, contemplatively munch a few pork scratchings, make some incisive comment about the footie, and only then start to consider possibly moseying along to the toilet, then you might as well start wearing a blouse. But ill-founded social stigma aside, I just ... more

    Advantages Advantages Pleasantly Peachy

Disadvantages Disadvantages Doesn't come in 1 gallon buckets

Okay let me first state for the record that I am in no way a fan of alcopops. In fact I’m not really a fan of alcohol in general. Lager tastes generally like fizzy piss. Bitter reminds me of dirty cold dishwater. Vodka neat has to be the most horrendous tasting thing I have ever had the misfortune to have placed in my mouth and nearly all Ciders smell like farts. This view was only strengthened when I also had the dubious pleasure of living across the road from the Bulmers factory in Hereford about 10 years ago. But I also have to admit that I wasn’t always like this. In my youth ( not that ... more

Advantages Advantages One of the nicest alcopops around

Disadvantages Disadvantages Also one of the most expensive!!!

I love all flavours of Archers Aqua, I always drink alcopops (in fact whilst writing this review, Im tucking into some Red Star Vodka Ice, Loganberry flavour - but its not a patch on Archers). I think out of all the alcopops out there, the Archers Aqua is the nicest (comparable in quality only to Bacardi Breezer). I find many of the alcopops, including the one I'm drinking tonight, either quite tart or very watery (tonights is watery, but still is drinkable). Archers is the exception to that, it has a sweet flavour, which isnt at all sickly, and still manages to taste like an adult classy ... more
