Advantages Advantages Can't think of any

Disadvantages Disadvantages Doesn't fit together, not strong ....... Loads. It's awful!!!

It has been a while since I last wrote a review but I thought I had to share my recent experience….. Background ********** My other half has been 'harping' on about a wine rack for ages and ages, and since we have recently bought a new property I thought it would be the ideal time to treat her to one. With the clear instructions it must be wooden (containing no metal at all) and it must hold at least 12 bottles I set off to the fine city of Norwich. What a nightmare, I searched around for hours and could not locate a small wooden rack anywhere. There were loads of metal/retro styles but these ... more

2 Stars Whining about my wine rack Review with images 31/08/2011
    User doesn't recommend the product

Advantages Advantages It holds wine and round spirit bottles

Disadvantages Disadvantages Very basic, looks older than it's years, ridiculously bitty assembly

A few years ago we found ourselves awash with booze for one reason or another - I'd won a case of Absolut vodka and Mark had been given two cases of wine as a gift from a client. We're not big wine drinkers and twelve bottles of vodka is a bit overboard for everyday drinking so I decided to invest in two of these very cheap wine racks from Argos, they looked gorgeous in the book and at (then) £4.29 each I thought they were a bargain. Big mistake; I forgot the cardinal rule of 'if it looks too good to be true then it probably is', other wine racks I looked at were in the £15 price range and to ... more

Advantages Advantages It looks nice in the catalogue

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not so good in the flesh

~A product that has something to do with wine....this could be interesting!~ This Argos 12 Bottle Wooden Wine Rack has been sitting in my kitchen for that long I almost forgot it was there. Back in the day when it was new, I always made sure it was full of lots of bottles of lovely wine. But that was then, and this is now and these days it usually sits empty, kicked into the corner of the room. When I first saw this wine rack in the Argos catalogue I was quite impressed, that was back in the day when I never bothered to read reviews. it was a case of that looks nice I'll buy it. I have learned ... more

We like wine in our house and drink quite a lot. We are members of the BA wine club which delivers bottles to your door every three months or so, a great way to receive wine and lots of fun as you can choose the wine you want or let them decide for you so it is great to open the box and see the choices you have that month. Now, however, at the moment I am pregnant so our little wine collection has suddenly grown to quite a stack as I am not drinking it at the moment so we needed somewhere a bit better to store it than behind the bin under our kitchen worktop which is where is had been going ... more

Advantages Advantages Inexpensive. Basic design. Functional. Sturdy.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Hard to assemble.

The Argos Wooden Wine Rack is something that I've had for about three years - and it's served me fairly well. I can't remember exactly how much it cost me, but looking on the Argos website today, it currently costs £4.99, which I think is a very good price. The rack can hold up to twelve standard sized bottles, allowing for easy storage of the bottles, as well as a nice way to display bottles to guests. The not so great thing about the rack is that you need to assemble it when it comes, which is not the easiest thing I've ever done. It did take me a while to put together and following the ... more

We have had our Argos 12 bottle wooden wine rack now for longer than I can actually remember. We drink (or used to) a lot of wine in our house and we actually bought two of these - enough to house twenty four bottles of wine and we stored them next to each other to make it look like it was one very large wine rack. One of them broke eventually, we had had it so long and now we are left with just the one of them. We do not have it out as a display wine rack in the kitchen as it is a bit ugly in design and very basic, so we just keep it in the basement area where I keep a lot of my own personal ... more
