Advantages Advantages Lots of products to choose from

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can end up waiting a long time

Argos, is a store, which provides a catologue for anyone to take home. You can flick through the pages, in the comfort of your own home, and then return to the store to purchase your things. You can order by phone, but this mentioned further down. *******************THE STORE******************** Argos stores, tend to be fairly big in size. They are located all over. Just about everywhere you go, there is an Argos store. They have a wide variety of products for sale, and their prices tend to be very reasonable. On display, they have things out of the book. They do not have everything on display ... more

Advantages Advantages More stores than rival!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can be more expensive on certain items!

I simply love to get the new Argos catalogue as soon as its released and I just can't wait to browse all the pages to find out what's new and what's been removed and also what has either gone down or up in price. The new catalogue has been out for several weeks now this is for the autumn and winter 2001 it has 956 pages, including covers and claims to have put the prices down on over 1200 items. Every year I am asked by family members what I want my children to have for their birthdays and Christmas and every year I turn to Argos, Index, Toys R us, Mother care and Early Learning Centre, to ... more

Advantages Advantages Good all round, catalogue comes out twice a year, big catalogue, much more I can't fit in here!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Maybe heavyness of catalogue if I was being picky

ARGOS CATALOGUE AND ARGOS ITSELF + IT'S WEBSITE Argos catalogue: The legendary Argos catalogue is launched twice a year with spring/summer and autumn/winter available. It gets bigger every time and the spring/summer 2012 edition has 1766 pages. Its very heavy but it's free so don't have to pay for it. During the '80s and '90s the catalogue used to be quite small and a bit like a christmas guide you get from Argos, but now it's big it's got a really wide range of products to choose from at cheap prices. I always love to get the new catalogue and see what's new, what's gone and what's more ... more

Advantages Advantages huge range, reasonable prices, storecard with instant interest free, good products, 16 day money back policy

Disadvantages Disadvantages staff could smile, trying to do too much (insurance??)

We’ve all been there at least once, we’ve all seen the ads – ‘Whatever you want….blah blah’….. why would I shop at Argos?? Let me count the reasons….. Personally, I think Argos is THE lazy buggers best friend! That means I am right at home there hahaha. Every quarter or so there is a new catalogue (made from several trees) to collect. Its always brighter and ‘packed with more products at cheaper prices’. A claim that is actually fulfilled every time. This is not a fancy shop, its not your John Lewis or your Marks and Sparks ... more

Advantages Advantages Being able to browse through the catalogue in the comfort of your own home and also being able to ring and reserve an item without having to go in the store first.

Disadvantages Disadvantages The waiting, and waiting, and the waiting, ...

Argos is different to any other store, as all the items that are for sale are available for you to see in their free bi-annual catalogue, which you can view in the comfort of your own home. The catalogue that comes out is for Spring/Summer and then Autumn/Winter. In addition to this catalogue Argos has also recently launched their new ‘Additions ‘ catalogue, which is a new clothing catalogue for all the family. The 954 page catalogue is split up into seven categories: - Jewellery Personal Care Houseware Home and Interiors Office and Electronics Outdoor and Leisure Toys and Nursery ... more

Advantages Advantages jam packed with everything you need at low prices, you can shop wherever!

Disadvantages Disadvantages catalogue cuts...worse than paper ones!!

The Argos Catalogue!! August 07 The first thing that I love about the Argos Book is that its a free catalogue which is jam packed with everything and anything. What alot of people forget is that alot of places you have to pay or subscribe for catalogues. The front cover is so eye catching this years is 'Bursting With Choice' and shows numerous popular items bursting through a hole in the book .i.e. a Sony Ericsson Phone, Dinosaur, Sofa. Each different section is colour coded so its easier to find the items which your looking at. At the front of the book and now infront of each different ... more

    Advantages Advantages easy to use

Disadvantages Disadvantages can't really tell what stuff looks like before buying

Argos is one of the favourite places for Chrismas presents. Every year you tend to see endless streams of people exit the shop with gigantic bags bursting with goods. There's lots of reasons for this. My guess to why this this is one fo Britians favourite shops is because it's extremely easy to buy from. They always have a million trees worth of catalouges, which you simply can pick up, take home and decide what to buy. If you're an especially lazy bugger, you can order your goods directly to your house for a small fee (£3.95 if goods are under £100 but you can have as many goods delivered as ... more

Advantages Advantages lots of worthwhile buys, constant sale offers & ease of purchase

Disadvantages Disadvantages sometimes slow and lazy staff & conveyor belt often breaks down

*** INTRODUCTION *** Argos seems to be my favourite shop these days, especially now that I am settling down and getting married. I have already previously bought some of my boy's toys from Argos as they have a mass of neat little electronic gadgets to keep most men happy. Nowadays I am buying household items like a steam & rice cooker, Brita water filters, George Foreman Lean Mean Grilling Machine and Tefal pots and pans etc etc. Getting very domesticated aren't I? Anyway, I've probably seen more things come my way via their conveyor belt system than most contestants on the Generation Game ... more
