Advantages: Can be used at very low temperatures Disadvantages: Not suitable for hand washing, overpowering scent on Febreze version, made stains worse
...for some time...until I saw Ariel Excel Gel with Febreze effect in the supermarket. ==The Product== I had been aware of the Ariel Excel Gel range for a while - it was heavily advertised when launched - and the main premise of this product is that it will give you "outstanding cleaning" with low temperatures - temperatures as low as 15 degrees Celsius. Usually priced at around £4 for the 666 ml bottle, which promises to give 18 washes, I saw it on ... ...well and this is where Ariel Excel came undone for me. The main problem seems to be with stains. My daughter had managed to get a tomato ketchup stain on her bra (I told you she is very messy!) and a top she was wearing. I have a stain removing spray I picked up in Poundland which has always worked very well for me, so I treated the bra and top before putting in the wash. I was careful to ensure I didn't put any woollens or silk items in as you cannot ...

Review of Ariel Excel Gel
Advantages: Looks good and easy to use with dispensing in the drawer. Disadvantages: Not value for money even when on promotion.
I recently purchased Ariel Excel Gel laundry detergent after seeing it advertised on television. My usual purchase would be the Ariel 2 x conc liquid since it is almost impossible to find the old bigger Ariel dilute packs anymore.
I had heard some good things from friends about the cleaning quality of Excel gel and ease of use, so certainly wanted to try it. I purchased the product on offer at Tesco for £3.98 for 18 washes. This then needs to be cleaned again in order to remove it.
In conclusion, I would not buy this product again as for the product I don't think it is value for money. Even on deal this was £3.98 for 18 washes (I did not count specifically but I am sure I did not get all of the gel out of the product due ...
