Clean as a Whistle

Advantages: Excellent results
Disadvantages: Not the cheapest

I have been using Ariel color for a couple or years now, and have found it a very satisfactory product. Don’t you just hate it when you have just paid out for a new outfit, some new clothes, you wear them a couple of times, and they all turn a pastel shade of white. That’s because you’re using the wrong washing powder. I used to just bung everything in the same powder, the cheapest I could get from the pound shops, or those places that sell everything ...
...many brands on the market, Ariel is just the first one I started using, and it worked for me and I suppose it is a case brand loyalty. I had a particularly expensive set of clothes at the time and I really wanted them to last. They were the best clothes I had bought for a while, and I did not want to spoil them by incompetent laundering. You know how it is when your favourite shirt gets destroyed in the wash a couple of hours before you wanted it. ...

Virginal Whites....

Advantages: it's a non bio
Disadvantages: it's a non bio so stubborn stains might need another wash!

Ariel non bio is the latest in a long line of Ariel products, coming in a variety of formulas eg powder, Liquid, tablets and I think those rather silly plastic coated space invader type things. Ariel and I go back along way, about 30 years to be precise when I along with several other close family members developed a rather nasty itchy rash from head to foot. Yes I can honestly say I've had a grudge against Ariel for 30 years and have never used ...
...the washing powder stakes? Well Ariel decided they hadn't quite cornered the market had they? Some of us notably parents of small soft skinned children and bad experiences in the itchy and scratchy stakes use a non bio powder. So obvious marketing ploy isn't it to go do a dermalogically tested non bio product. Add to this an opening offer of a third off and you'll be amazed at who's trolley the stuff ends up in...Son of satan in my trolley!! Having ...

Keep Your Colours Bright!

Advantages: Keeps whites white and keeps coloureds bright
Disadvantages: None

...the reason I originally bought Ariel washing powder is because my boyfriend was using it (this is before we moved in together) and the smell reminded me of him. He would only use Ariel Colour powder and that was because he loved the smell. Before meeting my current beau, I simply bought whatever was on special offer, or, if there were no special offers, I bought the shop's own brand washing powder. Nowadays, I almost always buy Ariel, not just because ...
...superior product. Ariel Colour laundry detergent can be bought as a powder, a liquid, liquitabs or tablets. I purchase the powder form. You can buy it in three sizes - a 1.1kg box will give you approximately 15 washes and costs around £2.49; a 3.3kg box will give you approximately 45 washes and costs around £5.48; or a 5.5kg box (which I've never seen let alone bought!) will give you approximately 75 washes and costs around £8.75. The prices are ...

At last the powder Zanussi recommend

Advantages: Fresh smell , clothes exceptionally clean , goes a long way ,better for my machine
Disadvantages: More expensive than some , may be harsh on some fabrics

...the job . He recommends Ariel , as does the manufacturer , although he does comment it's a tad more expensive . A tad ! ************************* ARIEL BIOLOGICAL*********************** So , as I was nearly out of my regular powder , I pops down to my local Netto to price a box up . As my Netto is just round the corner from me , and cheap , I thought I could carry a large box if they had some . At the time they only had Ariel Biological in stock ...
...was a 4.75kg of the Ariel Biological ,biological not being something I would usually consider on purchasing . It's a large box 121/2 inches high by 10 inches wide and 41/2 inches deep . It had a tough plastic handle on the top for easy carrying . It was reasonably heavy to carry with a little shopping , but not too bad . The box is a nice dark green colour with the ariel logo on the front and " Turn to 30 degrees "in large letters . It states " ...

DIRTY ? PERHAPS

Advantages: Whites are whiter and blemish free.
Disadvantages: Hard on the hands, and can cause skin irritation.

...want to tell readers about Ariel washpowder, because I have found it to be so useful in many ways, and more efficient than other makes. Ariel washpowder comes in three sizes, 1 1.1kg pack at £2.48, a 3.3 Kilogram pack at £5.44, and a 5.5 Kilogram pack at £8.78 I usually buy the small sized pack because I have specific uses for the powder and this suits my needs. PACKAGING The powder comes in a cardboard box and has a push in opening on the side ...
...with a bold logo for Ariel in red flashed across the front of the packet. THE PRODUCT This is an automatic washing detergent, and when I say automatic, I believe that what the manufacturers meant was that it was suitable for automatic washing machines. I, however, have not had a washing machine for ten years, and automatic means something entirely different. When you open the pack, there is a very strong clean smell and the powder is whitish with ...

Ultra Clean Plus

Advantages: It does what its supposed to do
Disadvantages: Can be a bit pricey

...My husband found that Ariel powder was on special and decided to give it a go. You should know at the onset, that I’m not exactly sure why, but I believe that we have available here a type of Ariel washing powder that you can’t get in the UK. Ours is called “Ariel Ultra Clean Plus” (hence the title of this op). According to our package, it is good for both white washes and coloured washes and can be used for hand washing as ...
...you four different types of Ariel laundry products. The regular Ariel for general laundry, Ariel Colour which is specially formulated for coloured washes, Ariel Handwash which is meant to be used for delicate fabrics and Ariel Non-Bio. I’d be willing to bet that if Ariel makes all of these products, then the quality can’t really be all that different. What I have certainly noticed over the years is that even when they have changed their ...

Colourful Clothes

Advantages: Gentle on clothes
Disadvantages: Made by Proctor and Gamble!

...written by Dorothy Perkins an Ariel Color. I have personally found it helpful and would like to share some of the useful information with you at Ciao. Firstly let me point out that Ariel Color is spelt correctly. Personally I like to see English written correctly, but if Ariel wants to show its ignorance, then let it! Ariel Color is a Proctor and Gamble product. Not everyone approves but in today’s world of big business, it is money not ethics ...
...moment Dorothy Perkins is promoting Ariel Color. For best results using Ariel Color, always read the care label before wearing and if possible before purchasing. The clothing manufacture provides a guideline for the cleaning of their product, which are accurate 95% of the time. I always look and rarely buy clothes that need dry cleaning. I begrudge paying a large dry cleaning bill! It may sound obvious but sort clothes into colour and material ...

Took to the Cleaners

Advantages: It is usually good value for money
Disadvantages: The sly manufacturers think the consumers are gullible and stupid

Ariel Essential Just before Christmas, I received some money off coupons from Proctor and Gamble, the makers of my usual washing powder, Ariel Essential. Great! I thought. They had sent me £1 for a purchase in October, 50p for November and 50p for December. The good thing was that they had sent the same to my boyfriend too, so that meant double savings for the next 3 months. Or so I thought! I marched down the soap powder aisle with £1 coupon in ...

After several eye rubs, I still could not believe what I was seeing, and I had to scan the shelves in case I had missed something. They had added £1 to the price!!!! My soap powder was now priced at £5.99. I have never paid that much for any powder ever! What was going on? There must be some mistake, I have a money off voucher! Even with this voucher it would bring ...

Disadvantages: Price is high compared to some 'economy' alternatives

...knowledge stops. I knew Ariel was one of our top brands so for a first attempt I thought I better stick with a tried and tested powder. I used Ariel colourguard, and found it perfectly good. The colours didnt run (a problem my mum often had with my clothes as I wear a lot of cheap sports stuff - lack of funds you see). So, clean and no colour run - it lived up to its claims. I don't have much to compare this to, but I would certainly recommend it to others. I will be using it for the time being unless someone discovers another powder and lets me in on the secret. ...

New Non Biological - whatever that means

Advantages: Non biological, great cleaning, smells nice
Disadvantages: not on offer enough!

...seems my mum always used ariel but when I moved out of home and found out how much it cost I didn't continue the family tradition. Having sensitive skin I knew I had to be careful with persil and "value" brands so I settled on mostly Daz or Bold. However on a recent trip to Safeways one of their offers was the new Ariel non biological, so I thought, Aerial and non biological my skin will be ok with that and it had a third off so even better! I thought I'd leave out the conditioner just to see how much of the smell remained after the wash (it does seem like a scientific experiment this doesn't it!) The cycle finished and I was really surprised that the clothes smelt lovely. I put them in the tumble dryer and after having the house filled with the lovely smell, the final test. I took them out, no static, really clean clothes ...

Fab Product, Impeccable cleaning

Advantages: clean clothes, refreshing smell that lasts on clothing
Disadvantages: Biological

Ariel Powder has been going since 1969, First we had traditonal powders, then in 1989 Ariel Ultra was launched to provide the consumer with a compact product, so that they were able to use a smaller dosage of powder and get the same amount of washes from a big box powder but with less packaging. In 1992 they changed Ariel Ultra to Ariel Futur to modernise the product. Then we had Ariel Alpine in 1998 which provided the consumer with an overpowering ...

I have used the Bio version and found it fine on my skin (I usually use Fairy but they ran out at the supermarket) The powder is white with little green specks in it. It smells rather fresh and inviting (Not as intense and overpowering like earlier versions of this powder in the 80's and 90's). I payed £8.67 for this ...

Ariel, but not completely as it is in commercials

Advantages: White and good smell
Disadvantages: Doesn't remove oil and saffraan stains

...stains have never disappeared with Ariel and neither have saffraan stains. I'm a bit astunned by that because in the commercials they spill oily tomatoe sauce on the clothes and they're suppose to disappear completely, but they haven't with me. Ok, I know I know: they're just commercials... Let's look at usage: You don't have to use much to get the desired results, this way the product also lasts you a while. I always pour in one whole cup, approximately ...
...have to measure it with respect to the amount of laundry, which I, honestly often forget, so, but if you have half a washing machine filled I think half a cup will suffice, unless you have really nasty stains, then perhaps a bit more won't hurt. Degree: 60°C, or at least that's what I put it on to get my laundry clean. AVOID HIGHER, because you'll risk your clothes to come out Lilliput-style. I've never suffered from any skin irritation as a result ...

Advantages: wide product lineup
Disadvantages: cannot think of any

There are types for a handwash which are more sensitive for your hands, types for machine laundry when you just put the powder inside and go, for colorful laundry and for very dirty one.
