Advantages: Clean fresh smell, good value Disadvantages: Awkward box, price as part of the grocery shop in a supermarket.
...washing detergent has to be Ariel Tablets though, and on a recent trip to Makro, I bought in bulk!
-The Packaging. These tablets, as they were from Makro, came in 2 boxes of 82 tablets as they are meant for industries such as catering and cleaning I suppose. They were bound together in a sleeve that read ‘XXL Pack’, and the individual boxes state they are ’Proctor and Gamble Professional’.
The packaging is quite attractive in Ariel’s usual green ... ...the one downfall for these Ariel tablets is that the lid stays open once the seal has been broken. This gets on my nerves as the cupboard under this sink is only small and you have to remove the box if you want to get at anything under there!
Each pair of tablets is wrapped in foil, and the foil tears easily to tip the tablets into the washing machine drawer whilst minimising contact with the skin. I am almost always able to place the tablets in ...

Advantages: Quick, clean to use, and clean clothes to boot Disadvantages: None that I've found yet
...When I first saw the Ariel tablets advertised on TV, they made a big deal on how easily they dissolved. Yet more proof to me that there were real flaws in the Persil ones that I had tried, with such awful results.
However, I did tread gingerly, and only purchased a very small trial pack, on special offer. I need not have worried. These Ariel tablets indeed dissolved beautifully, crumbling to nothing in seconds (as I noted from keep opening the drawer ... ...did with them, and these Ariel ones don't even need that horrid little bag like some of the other tablets do.
I would recommend anyone to try these, but it does also make me wonder, where do they go from here? The need to be the first one with something different will surely tell us soon. Let's just hope its in our interests, and not just those of the shareholders. ...

Advantages: Saves you time, free sample pack from website Disadvantages: Fairly expensive
...the tablets. Having used Ariel powder and their other tablet versions in the past I knew that they were a reliable company so was not worried about trying this new innovation. Every since I first used tablets I preferred them to powder - less mess and no measuring. My clothes came out as clean as usual and smelt just as fresh, all for about the half the time in the machine. The clothes were gentle on the skin and felt soft. I’m not sure if the normal ... ...but these definitely saved me some time and I assume are therefore more economic as you use less electricity. If you’re the sort of person that does their washing and leaves it to itself then perhaps these are not for you. But if you are like me and want to get it over and done with as soon as possible then I suggest you give them a go.
If I’ve still not convinced you then why not log on to ariel.co.uk where you can get a free trial pack. They sent ...

...it just get everywhere?) Ariel tablets must work out slightly more expensive than ordinary powder and do not provide results that are any better, however, for convenience they cannot be beat.
I would just advise one note of caution. My husband has slightly sensitive skin and I can no longer use Ariel Alpine tablets because they bring him out in a very itchy rash, it may be useful for anybody with sensitive skin to test Ariel tablets before going ...

...all weekend was discovering, new Ariel liquitabs. You may think, how can that possible be exciting but how wrong you can be. Don’t you just hate it when you put a load of washing in the machine, and forget its there…for a day or two (cringe) well this is what I did. On Thursday I put some washing in and flung in a newly purchased Ariel colour liquid tab. On Saturday morning I remembered and hauled the clothes out of the machine expecting ... ...clothes looking good. All in all I am very pleased with Ariel liquitabs and I would recommend them to anyone. The only disadvantage is they are quite expensive at £4.00 per pack of 12, but give them a whirl anyway and I’m sure you will be as smitten as me. ...

Advantages: Excellent cleaning Disadvantages: A little pricey
I originally tried Ariel washing powder tablets with the try me free offer which accompanied their launch - and now I am a convert!
They are easy to use, the washing is clean and fresh and there is no mess left in the washing machine.
If the water is less than hot going into the machine I do crumble the tablets a little before I open the packet and then empty the packet contents into the washing machine drawer.
These tablets are slightly more ...

Advantages: Easy to use Disadvantages: Struggle with stains
Ive always hated washing powders as they always clog your draw up with powder and sometimes not dissolve properly, so I was really pleased when the tablets came along, there are various makes and some go into your drum direct and some into your draw , as Aerial do.
They dissolve almost immediately and come in several scents, such as alpine.
you can also buy different ones if you prefer Biological or non biological which is good. plus there are ... ...I have tried various brands and found them all to be pretty similar!!!, they wash well but I still find that they struggle with stains, even chocolate and they certainly cant handle grease on a 40 wash. But really the only reason I use them is for ease of use, no measuring etc. So I dont really think it makes much of a difference if you use tablets or powder!! ...

Advantages: Easy to use. No string bag. Disadvantages: Sometimes don't fully dissolve
These are very good and very simple to use. No scrabbling about for little string bags or fiddly plastic balls. Just bung the tablets in to the draw of the washing machine and bob's your uncle. The clothes all come out really clean and fresh too. I have young kids who seem to think that a t-shirt is designed solely for wiping sticky hands on. Well, all the greasy stains are alwats removed and I never have to pre-soak or pre-treat with other products ...

Advantages: Easy to use and quick to disolve Disadvantages: A bit on the expensive side
I came across these Ariel tablets in safeways while they were on offer, the usual price is around four pounds for a box of 48 tablets. As these were on offer at 1.99p i jumped at the chance to get them, infact I bought two boxes of Non-Bio just because they were so cheap.
I hadn't used Ariel before as I usually just buy whats on offer but I think after seeing the results of my wash that I might stick to these.

Advantages: What next? antibacterial yoghurt? Disadvantages: We are all going to die!!!!!!!
Can somebody please tell me what is the point of all this antibacterial stuff you find on the shelves of every supermarket these days, the latest thing I've seen is antibacterial cling film. Generally speaking the reason why people live longer in developed countries ... ...the bad bacteria and learn to live with all the good bacteria. We kill the good bacteria-we die, we kill the bad bacteria before we can build a resistance to it and before you know it we will all die from a common cold.

...tablets, but when I saw Ariel non-bio on offer in the supermarket I thought I'd give it a whirl.
Initially I was impressed by the fresh smell from my clothes which was stronger than the other two brands and seemed to linger longer in the ironing basket.
But after a couple of days of slight itchiness on the places where I usually suffer from flare-ups (fore-arms, backs of knees and inside elbows etc) I have decided to stop using the tablets.

I would recommend the tablets to anyone who does not have even slightly sensitive skin, because my clothes were washed very well and the tablets have a nice smell.
But I would urge anyone who has sensitive skin to think twice, although I know diffierent people are sensitive to different things.
Just a slight footnote - the tablets tend to stick int he washing -machine drawer - I much prefer Persil's in-wash bag which avoids a sludgy ...

...new washing machine which reccomended ariel & after seeing the adds for switch to 30o i decided 2 give ariel tablets a try.
excellent value for £2.49 for 24 tablets wrapped in twos it sais on the box it will do 12 washes. I find for the average soiled wash & for bedlinnen & towels etc 1 tablet is more than adiquate saving even more money.
As ariel advise i have switched to washing at 30 & all my washing has come out as clean as a whistle! Since ... ...just clean & the smell lasts even after the washing has been tumble dried.
you dont even have to put theese tablets in a net you just place them in the despenser drawer of your washing machine.
