    Okay, I admit, I didn't really 'need' a new perfume, as I already own too many to mention without it being embarrassing cause there are people going hungry in the world and I am obsessed with perfume, but I had to have it. I went down to the local cosmetics shop as they wanted to give me a Clinique lipstick for being such a good customer (perfume,anyone?) and the green box stared me down. It whispered to me, along with the huge tester bottle : Sarah, you know you want to spray me... I smell soooooo gooooood.... and I am a sucker, so I couldn't resist.     Right so here I am again, letting you know what I think of Acqua Di Gio Eau De Toilette this time. Any of you who have read my profile will know that I do adore my beauty/hair products and perfume! I am slowly working my way through all the things that I have tried, to be honest it should keep me busy for a while as there are quite a few of them lol Acqua Di Gio was launched all the way back in 1995 and it still smells as fresh and new as it did back then.     This is one of my favourite perfumes that I have worn on and off for a number of years now but I keep going back to it as the fragrance is so captivating. I believe this perfume has been around for quite a few years but still continues to be a really good seller. In fact, according to an article I read, "It was created in 1995 by the designer Giorgio Armani." I think I have probably had it since then, although not the same bottle!!     I was given a bottle of Acqua Di Gio as a gift ( I wouldn't normally choose something so 'light' for myself - I prefer heavy perfumes) but was quite happy to wear it as it's summer and lighter fresher fragrances tend to work well in the hot weather. ********************** The bottle itself is clear so you can see the lovely pale green perfume through it, the colour being indicitive of the sort of fragrance to expect ie.aquatic and fresh,and it's topped off with an attractive large gold circular stopper.     My husband bought me this for my birthday as I absolutely loved the male version of Gio. At first I was dubious about the smell, thinking it was a bit too like all the other fragrances out there. But Gio have added a nice touch of femininity to this fragrance. It's just the right amount of a flowery smell. It's a refreshing smell, would do quite nicely during spring/summer. Some perfumes have the habit of smelling nice only when you first put it on and then it fades away. With this one you don't have to mistake the amount you put on as the longer you wear it, the better it tends to smell. I ... more

    This is a light green fragrance that comes in a simple rounded square bottle with a gold spray and a clear bubble top. Although I've taken this abroad its never leaked. The smell is quite light and subtle and also very refreshing and sweet. As suggested by the name the fragrance reminds me of water very cool and refreshing however it is too sophisticated for everyday wear and I feel it is better suited to evening wear or for special occasions.     This perfume is my favourite of all my perfume, and i have a lot of it! It is so clean and fresh, once a week i treat myself and have a bath with the bath crystals, then use the shower gel, moisturiser and finally put on the fragrance. It would describe the smell as light, sporty, fresh and refreshing. I have went through about 400ml of this perfume in the last couple of years.     My husband bought me this perfume as a mistake - I wanted Ralph by Ralph Lauren. What a mistake to make - I was immediately taken by how gorgeous it was. It has a light, but enduring scent, quite floral but more grassy than rosey !!! I have used it on many occasions, although I would say it's more of a daytime perfume than a nightime. It's not a high profile perfume, hence I had not heard of it before, but now all of my friends know it's unique smell - even one of the Boden models said that this was her favourite perfume ! I now have the body lotion as well and will be putting this on the list ... more

    Advantages Advantages Very wearable for everyday use. Gorgeous scent. Nice bottle.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None - unless you prefer your perfume heavy or musky (this isn't).

    Acqua Di Gio Eau de Toilette for Women is a gorgeous perfume: light, fresh, feminine, floral. It is a little sweet but definitely not sickly. It is easy to wear during the day, for a bit of a lift. I first bought this about 10 years ago and have loved it ever since and I am now on my second bottle. Keeps well in the bottle. The pale green, matte bottle is simple and sophisticated and looks good on the dressing table. If you like floral yet fresh scents then this could be for you. Certainly I'd recommend trying it - you'll find it in most decent department stores, Boots, etc. If you prefer ... more

    This fragrance is very light. Nice and refreshing, but not very long lasting at all. Superb for the summer, but take the bottle out with you. The name means water and maye they added a little too much this time. I know fragrances react differently on different people, so for others it may keep its fragrance for hours. But not in my case. Too be sure before you buy, test it! Make the perfume counter your first stop, then check your fragrance when you get home. If you can still smell it, your laughing.
