Advantages Advantages It has a lovely clean fresh smell

Disadvantages Disadvantages It isn't original and lacks distinctiveness

So fresh and so lean I received an Armani Acqua Di Gio gift set for Chrismtas and to be honest my first thought was not another aftershave. I now have a massive collection of them with some I wear all the time and some I bought on spur of the moment that I have never used again. As I had no familiarity with Acua Di Gio I assumed this was because I must have tried it in the shop and decided I didn't like it. Oh how wrong I was. I can't believe I have never noticed this aftershave before and it is quickly becoming one of my favourites. History Acqua Di Gio was first introduced in 1996 and I was ... more

    Advantages Advantages Wonderful smell

Disadvantages Disadvantages you'll be fighting the woman off!

Ok boy's want to pull tonight? Well let me give you a dead cert that will get women giving you a second glance! Noooooooooo! Do not go out without any clothes on -have you seen how cold it is? The second glances will only be women pointing and sniggering! Nope if you want to get a second glance I really do suggest you go and invest in a bottle of Acqua Di Gio pour homme. This is basically a female magnet or as I might have drunkenly described it "a most shaggable aftershave". Ok so don't take my word for it take yourself down to Boot's and give it a quick sniff....... So you need a bit more ... more

Advantages Advantages Smells gorgeous, will get you noticed (for good reasons), long lasting

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Is expensive

Yes that's right, the Badger is going to give his opinion on another aftershave and today it's going to be one of my all time favourites, Acqua De Gio by Giorgio Armani. Up until last year I had never smelt or seen this in the shops. That was the case until one night I agreed to look after my sister. My dad wandered into the room and the beautiful fragrance that is Acqua De Gio followed him. I was instantly hooked. Acqua de Gio is a fairly new fragrance for men. I bought my bottle from the Armani shop in Manchester for £32.00 for a 50ml bottle. The actual bottle is very basic, with a rounded ... more

    Advantages Advantages Light, fresh

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Get a spray-bottle!

Back in the mid-90s there was something of a revolution when it came to mens fragrances. Gone were the days of heavy, spicy, woody scents - replaced instead by fresher, lighter, citrus almost feminine notes. Launched in 1996, Aqua Di Gio from Giorgio Armani was one of the main players in this change and quickly became one of the most popular scents of the end of the 20th century. Apparently, Mr (Giorgio) Armani gets his inspiration for fragrances from the island of Pantelleria, located half-way between Sicily and Tunisia in the Mediterranean. Unfortunately I've never been to the island (and ... more

    Advantages Advantages Long-lasting fragrance

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Hardly inexpensive

I don't know about the rest of you guys (and I mean 'guys' in the original, ballsy sense of the word), but isn't it always the same at Christmas? You get around 35 gallons of various after-shaves, colognes, eau de toilettes and general whiffy substances. It used to be that when you opened your prezzies come Christmas morning, a solitary bottle of Old Spice was about your lot....maybe even some 'splash it all over' Brut. But that's back in the days when men were men and only nancy-boys resorted to girly nonsense like dabbing on fragrances or using hot water to shave. Nah, a quick splash of ice ... more

Advantages Advantages A nice distinguished smell

Disadvantages Disadvantages quite easy to over-use

Hahaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! A Rarity for yours truly here don’t you think? Ladies and Gentle-Women, Angelus is once again going to try and dabble in a review of a ‘lifestyle product’ - this time being an Aftershave, something that for a loooooooong long time I didn’t bother using, then I was convinced to try out Aqua Di Gio out and never looked back from there. Anyway onto the actual product itself, Aqua Di Gio itself was a product launched onto the market by the design house owned by Giorgio Armani back in 1995 and being marketed as a ‘resolutely masculine fragrance born from the sea, the sun, the ... more

    Advantages Advantages Smells Great

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Can be expensive

Hi. I'm going to share with you my experiences with Armani's ACQUA DI GIO today. This fragrance came out way back in 1996 following the successes of Armani Mania (1981) and Armani Eau Pour Homme (1984). I have no hesitation in saying that Acqua Di Gio too is a success. Armani's Acqua Di Gio for Men is constantly being advertised everywhere, particularly in Debenhams and Men's magazines such as Men's Fitness and Men's Health. This was a big factor behind me buying this because Armani weren't going to spend millions advertising this fragrance if it was not good. Neither would Debenhams display ... more

    Advantages Advantages Gorgeous Masculine Scent

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Costly

Giorgio Armani - Acqua Di Gio is a wonderful scent and gives off a strong masculine scent that reminds me of the summer. It has that nice feel about it. I like to wear it in the summer months when the sun is out, as it seems to belong in this time of year but it can be used anytime anywhere. I first came across this fragrance when one of my mates was wearing it at football. I knew of it before and I heard that it was impressive stuff, but when I smelt it I immediately thought I had to have it. The first thing you come across is the bottle. With a slim-line rectangle shape bottle that is ... more

Advantages Advantages Sweet-and-sharp fragrance, classic design.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Nil.

I'm a big fan of the Armani fragrances; I find them to be full of refreshing, deep, enduring aromas - and this is no exception. Armani Code is the mainstay of my fragrance collection, and the one I keep coming back to time and again, but this is a twist on that winner that I really like. The design and branding of the product are great here, because they manage to communicate the appeal of the fragrance - and the perfume itself lives up to those promises. Both design and fragrance are clean, simple, clear and refreshing; in the former's case, the packaging and bottle are all about simple ... more

Advantages Advantages A fresh, masculine scent, Ladies always comment on it.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Smell seems to fade after 10-20 mins so you keep needing to top up which can be expensive.

In my opinion Armani Acqua Di Gio is a distinguished eau de toilette that is inspired by the warm sun and fresh sea. This aromatic fragrance opens with a splash of fresh, calabrian bergamot, green tangerine and neroli. This scent is a mixture of crisp rock rose, Rosemary, jasmine petal, fruity persimmon and warm Indonesian patchouli mixed with light, aquatic nuancesto to create a masculine scent that is both fresh and sensual. Mood: authentic and Natural. Armarni Acqua Di Gio is a sharp smelling frangence that I would recommend for casual Use, It has a fresh citrus smell to it so ideal for ... more
