Asda Smart Price 024C

It's fair to say that we have been shopping on a budget of late and there have been a few purchases that we have scrimped on, where possible. We purchased this toaster from Asda at just under £5 and decided that even if it was rubbish it'd do us for now and I could always upgrade to a better one in a few months time and just to give this to someone else who was starting out. As I am sure many of you will appreciate, when you move into a new house you have to buy new stuff, so your money has to stretch... When I moved in with my boyfriend earlier this year we made a conscious effort to get as much as we could for our money. So now that I’m a student again, I have to be very careful with my money and moving into a new flat meant having to buy quite a lot of new things. We had this basic toaster for a little while when our other one was broken. We bought it from Asda, who do their own range of excellent eletrical items, and it cost us about £4.55 which I remember thinking at the time was probably the cheapest toatser I have ever seen, never mind bought! It looks very basic and plastic and is all white. I would not describe it as being stylish in any way but it's what I would expect for this cheap price. My old toaster had seen better days and while shopping i though id try the 2 slice smart price toaster at a bargain £4.49. Now, i mentioned in my last review about the differences in quality of smart price equipment and although i couldnt speak highly enough of the hot chocolate, i have actually returned this product less than a week after buying it. Reading other reviews, i seem to be in a minority when i say it is not worth the money. Now i know it is a budget brand, but it should still do what it says on the tin?!
