These yogurts are yummy !!

Advantages: Thick, creamy and tastes nice
Disadvantages: Lack of fruit pieces may be off putting to some

BACKGROUND I love yogurts - especially Strawberry, but find that branded yogurts tend to be a bit expensive. In my quest for economising and cutting down the cost of our weekly grocery shop, I decided to try a different brand. The brand I tried was Asda's own label Smart Price Low Fat Strawberry Yogurt. THE PACKAGING The packaging rings true to the Smart Price label - plain and simple. The pot is mostly white in colour, but it does have a small ...
...logo is at the top of the pot and then the words 'Low Fat Strawberry Flavour Yogurt' is written in red. The packaging doesn't really stand out when it's on the shelf. The only reason you would know it was there would be if you were specifically looking for it. THE PRODUCT Smart Price, as I mentioned before, is Asda's own brand name. I have tried other products before in this range and have never had a problem, which is why I was expecting good ...

Strawberries & strawberry yoghurt - yum!

Advantages: Great taste, cheap price, recyclable pot, low in fat.
Disadvantages: None

...in the morning and this a great filling snack at any time of the day. This product is only available from Asda stores or from asda.co.uk as a home delivery item (delivery charges apply). I am rating this product 5/5 as it's a great tasting bargain. ...

A little bit potty

Advantages: very cheap
Disadvantages: slightly sugary

...the cheapest on the market. Asda Smart price low fat yoghurt 8p per pot or 4 for 28p. The problem with these babies is that even though the asda i shop in is a big walmart type therefore able to stock lots of variety, the individual pots are only sold in either strawberry flavour or toffee. The 4 pack on the other hand contains both of these and blackcherry and rasberry. Now being a shrewd mathmatician ( believe that you'll believe anything ) i ...
...is what u get from asda smart price yoghurts. And definately by the 4th, 5th, 6th, 20th, 50th pot of yoghurt it tastes just as good as any of the rest ( perhaps my memory has faded somewhat) If i was 'rich' would i buy these over muller? no. but........ do i mind eating these? not at all, and i even look forward to my next pot. ( only 5 hrs to go) I think the reason i still prefer muller is because the pots are bigger ( but then so's the price), ...

8p can't be right!

Advantages: Cheap and cheerful, good quality, tasty, healthy
Disadvantages: Slightly thin consistency

...pretty unbelievable - how could Asda make a nice yogurt for 8p, and make a profit out of it?! I've been having these for ages now, and I must say they're great quality, and definitely worth a trial at 8p a time. I'm a toffee yogurt-aholic, so their Toffee singles are fantastic - 12 yogurts for £1, and you'd still have change! Asda also do 4 packs for very slightly cheaper (29p for 4), that have Toffee, Strawberry, Raspberry and Black Cherry, all ...
...on the Toffee and Strawberry singles because I get them the most! *** Packaging *** The packaging is nothing special, just plain white with "LOW FAT TOFFEE YOGURT" in yellow writing, SmartPrice at the top, and V for Suitable for Vegetarians. Shame they don't have a little drawn pic on the front like a lot of the "SmartPrice" range does. Around the back you'll find all your info about ingredients, nutrition and contact info. These have no "Try me! ...

Smartprice Yogurt

Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: Bland packaging, lumpy

...As with all the ASDA smartprice products, the packaging is white, with red and black writing. The lid says ‘ASDA Smartprice Low Fat Strawberry Yogurt.’ It also has the use by date and a ‘V’ symbol to indicate that it’s suitable for vegetarians. TASTE The Yogurt tastes O.K, but I’m not keen on lumpy yogurt, and there are a lot of large lumps of strawberry in this. Looking at the ingredients list, there is only ...
...with strange and off-putting names such as ‘Modified Tapioca starch’ and ‘Xanthan Gum.’ I would describe the taste as similar to strawberry flavoured jelly chews, and to be honest I didn’t really like it. The consistency was very thick, and I prefer yogurt to be more liquid than jelly! SMELL It smells like strawberries and cream campino sweets. APPEARENCE It’s pale pink in colour and has large dark coloured ...

Cut price toffee

Advantages: very cheap
Disadvantages: Could be put off by the packaging

Asda seems the only place these days where I can buy my favourite tasting yoghurt for the cheapest price of only 8p. The yoghurt flavour in question is good old toffee. I know you can get packs of four for the like in places such as Tesco and Sainsburys but you can’t buy individual toffee ones for only 8p! Ok they are in the Asda smart price range but to be honest these very cheap yoghurts do not taste any different to the pricier competition elsewhere! ...
...of 4 toffee yoghurts but Asda also do an Asda smart price pack of 4, which contains additional flavours of strawberry, raspberry and cherry. I hate cherry so tend to just purchase the individual pots of each flavour I fancy particularly the toffee one, which I am reviewing here. They come in a white pot with the Asda smart price logo in red and black on the sides and on the foil lid, they are low fat and the packing is kind of bland, but you shouldnt ...

What a Yoghurt! Scrumliciously yum yum yum

Advantages: Excellent value, just a nice size if you don't want a big pud.
Disadvantages: None

Just eating a strawberry flavoured Asda Smart-Price yoghurt as I write. The colour is somewhere between the petals of a Bush Morning Glory wildflower (Ipomoea leptaphylla) and a fragment in the mid section cloud brush of Picasso's 1901 painting 'Les Toits bleus', perhaps that is a little difficult to distinguish with print variation, a better example of the yoghurts pink in heading towards the darker extremity of the colour may be the sweeping sun ...
...special offer at Asda last night for 8p. How cheap is that! Very good value for money. I often eat the toffee flavour too. The chunks of strawberry are very small and few and far between, but even so what can one expect for that price! ...

Review of Asda Smart Price Low Fat Yogurt

what can you expect for 9p a pot

Advantages: Cheap and cheerful
Disadvantages: Bit too runny

...one available in my local ASDA is strawberry but forgive me if I am wrong.. The packaging is a bit nasty (plain white with black and red 'this is really cheap' writing all over it). But having said that it does its job. Calorie and fat content wise it is about the same as the standard ASDA yogurts (these cost about 20p each) but it is a lot runnier than the standard version. The taste is not unpleasant but it is a little synthetic and quite sweet. ...

8p-you must be joking

Advantages: So cheap
Disadvantages: The packaging for all Asda Smart Price foods can be off putting but is easily spotted!

...right. I love the fact it contains no lumps like some cheap supermarket brands can. The only problem with all Asda Smart Price products are that the packaging looks so cheap which can put certain people off (not me), but they are easily spotted on the shelves! Try one today.. ...

Potty Yoghurt

Advantages: It tastes just like any other yoghurt and is great for diets
Disadvantages: the packaging could be revamped

...desserts, but I found the asda smart price yoghurts to be very tasty which is unusual for a non brand name, I would defiently buy these again and I will let my daughters try them as well because really you can not tell the difference. My 8 year old daughter eats 9 to 15 muller corners per week so when I get her to try these yoghurts then I think my purse will be a bit heavier. I now buy these yoghurts on a weekly basis instead of my usual brand ...

low in fat and low in taste.

Advantages: great for those on a budget
Disadvantages: not so great for those with taste buds.

...what it cost i think asda has supplied a suitable low fat yoghurt and like i have already said it is suitable for babies and children, for how much of a yoghurt eaten by a baby actually makes it into the mouth. tastes okay although could do with slightly stronger flavour to it and consistency is just right. ...
