WHY GO ANYWHERE ELSE

Advantagesprices stay low and all you want under 1 roof

Disadvantagescould take away a lot of custom from other shops

"What can i say about asda , one way to sum it up would be to say its a shop that has everything under one roof and they dont charge the earth for there products either. We just recentley had an asda built near where i live and the first thing i thought was this shop wasn't going to last 5 mintues because the shop was the biggest supermarket i'd ever seen and i though as with all other new shops they would have special offers on in the first couple ..." Lowest Price Guaranteed!

AdvantagesCheap

Disadvantagesnon

"...always do my shopping at ASDA because the things there are cheap and the quality is good. Sometime there are "opps!", which have saved me a lot of money. No harm getting "0pps!" stuff as long as they are still within the consumable period. Sometime you can get VAT free as well! Amazing! This is actually a very good idea. This ensures that the quality is maintained, but the comsumers can enjoy it at a lower price. Oh, I hate VAT. The advertisement ..." Read review

The place we like

AdvantagesGreat prices

Disadvantagesnone

"Asda is definately a wonderful place to shop at for all your food and clothing needs. We are longtime customers who have tried the other main stores but always come back to Asda. The prices are always excellent, the staff are cheerful and helpful and the range of thier own make goods are second to none. We love thier own bread the take away service for foods you heat up such as chinese and indian and thier own range of music, videos and books are ..." Read review

SPIFFING CLOTHES, BY GEORGE

AdvantagesPLENTY OF HIGH QUALITY CLOTHES AT REASONABLE PRICES

DisadvantagesI ALWAYS END UP SPENDNG A FORTUNE IN HERE!

"...the clothing department within the ASDA store. Up until after I’d had my second child, I didn’t really buy clothes from here (we didn’t really shop at ASDA either) as I had the preconceived idea that the clothes were expensive compared to other shops. On one occasion we needed to go shopping, we went to ASDA as it was close and whilst in there, I ventured into the ‘George’ department and liked what I saw! Women’s ..." Read review

It ASDA Be ASDA!

AdvantagesVery cheap, lots of special offers, modern, clean stores, good facilities

DisadvantagesNone!

"ASDA is the best supermarket of the lot in my opinion. This is because of many reasons. Firstly, ASDA always have loads of great special offers, such as buy one, get one free, 3 for the price of 2, and "3 items for £3", and their prices are laways very low anyway, with their policy of permanently low prices and "rollback". Also, their petrol is an extremely good deal as it's the lowest price anyway, but they also have a petrol loyaylty card scheme ..." Read review

Good

AdvantagesReasonable prices and quality

DisadvantagesVery busy

"ASDA along with TESCOS are undeniably in my mind, the two best chain supermarkets in England. With ASDA, the quality of food does seem to differ slightly in the different stores around the country. But, overall the quality is very good and the prices are very reasonable. The fresh bread made in ASDA stores is very enjoyable and tasty. ASDA can not match up to the low prices and high quality of French supermarkets but along with TESCOS it is the best ..." Read review

Asda Price?

AdvantagesGood cheap food

DisadvantagesNot much selection

"Asda hit the headlines last year when they announced that they would be taken over by US giant WalMart. This was declared as a victory for the consumer as WalMart’s is renowned for aggressive pricing policies. So where do Asda find themselves now, many months down the line? Anyone who shops in Asda will notice that the prices do appear to be much lower than the likes of Sainsburys. There is also a significant proportion of shop floor space dedicated ..." Read review

very informative sort of

AdvantagesVery popularistic

DisadvantagesLiitle information

"The ASDA retail chain is more than likely to be the most popular supermarket ever. Therefore to get the customers coming TV adverts need to be informative and not appeal to a certain level of Social status like many other adverts. ASDA'a main TV advert has been running for a little over 5 or 6 years now and it involves a woman smacking her ass pocket. The main slogan being "Thats ASDA price". More recently though, the adverts changed slightly ..." Read review

It asda be Asda

AdvantagesValue for money

DisadvantagesSometimes out of stock in 24 hour store

"...doing me weekly shopping at Asda now for about the last nine years. I find them to be unbeatable price wise and I also think that they have an excellent range of products. Over the last nine years every now and again I have tried other supermarkets but I have to say that I go running back to Asda every time. A 24 hour Asda has now opened up near where we live and it is just so convenient. I mean if you have a sleepless night you could always just ..." Read review

Pocket the difference

Advantagesgood supermarket

Disadvantages=

"...fairly cheap, convenient, and local. Asda always has offers on selected food and most of the time they involve items that you need. What I like is the buy 1 get 2nd half price or buy 2 get 3rd free, and the overall standard of food is high. The Asda’s near us is big in comparison to other supermarkets so there is lots of space, food is not the only thing they sell, they also sell CD’s clothes and perfumes. They don’t have long ..." ASDA on TV & the asda tune

AdvantagesCheap, but not by a huge amount

DisadvantagesHorrible theme tune!

"...see the start of and asda advert i immediatly turn the sound on my TV off, as the theme tune is so bad!!! It's been the same for years, and it stays in your head for so long after - trouble is it's just awful! I've noticed that the few times i've been into asda they play in (on a variety of instruments mind you!) every few minuites and it drives me mad. Their adverts are irritating, especially the roleback ones because they never show you the ..." Read review

Great asda price

Advantagescheap

Disadvantagestoo hard to find stores

" Are Asda really the cheapest supermarket out there? Well, I'm sure they're one of them. With loads of HUGE 'hypermarkets' around Britain they are certainly easy to find. You've all seen the adverts, and for me the Asda one is the add that I remember first - because of the slogan 'that's Asda Price'. Tesco advertise also, and so do Sainsbury and safeway, but I think that Asda do it the best. And by saying that they really do have some of the lowest ..." Read review

Asda shopping

AdvantagesCheap

Disadvantagessee above

"I have an ASDA store 5 minutes away by car. I find it to be very reasonable and has plenty of buy two get third free offers which are on everyday products e.g. tissues. The store is now open till 10pm most evenings which is great as it means you can go there when the little one's are in bed and hubby can babysit this I have found to be a much more relaxing atmosphere. They have a good range of products and there own brands are very reasonable. Farm ..." Read review
