Advantages: Best Driving game on DS at the moment.
Disadvantages: Even though it's the best racer on DS at the moment, still doesn't mean this game is very good.

Asphalt Urban GT is the typical arcade racer for your DS. Nothing special here. No pointless touch screen car handling (for the better), a standard map, and virtually everything can be done with the D-Pad and buttons. But hey, that doesn't mean to say it's a bad game! I received this game as a gift, at first the game was hard to play, but after an hour of playing, I got the hang of it. I enjoyed the arcade style racing and the ability to buy and sell cars and purchase upgrades in evolution mode. There are a variety of game styles: Cop Chase, Time Attack, Free race, Road Challenge and Instant Play, so once you get bored of one style, there are plenty more! Asphalt looked pretty good when it was released earlier on the N-Gage, but it looks even better on the larger DS screen, and it sports a much, much better frame rate. The 30 licensed cars featured in the game capture the look of their real-world counterparts quite accurately, even if they do tend to be a little boxy.
