Advantages Advantages fresh way to play in stealth, above and beyond it's expectation

    Disadvantages Disadvantages lack to multiplayer

Somewhere down the line anticipations and excitement for Assassins Creed 2 were lost and drowned as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. If you were one of these people - for shame. You do not realise the achievements and innovative gameplay you've just forgotten about. Okay so most people appreciated that Assassins Creed 1 had a wealth of potential and was good fun but was far from perfect. The exact same gameplay over and over just in different settings. The moves and actions were limited, there was a little too much watching instead of playing and we had a multi-skilled assassin who somewhere ... more

Advantages Advantages Improves the structure of the first game, and keeps in what made the first one worth a look.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Combat is still unchanged, and its still not good.

Assassin's Creed 2 The original Assassin's Creed was a bit hit-or-miss, mainly because its repetitive structure became a nasty grind well before the end of its seven hour campaign. However it did nail the beauty of its fantastic platforming, and it's what either drew players in and don't dismiss the game even today. Now, in a year which has seen more than a few delays, Assassin's Creed 2 (AC2) has sneaked its way into the 2009 lineup against the gorilla Call of Duty. Does it manage to stab its rivals in the back or is this assassin lacking in subtlety? A story of revenge Gone are the sandy ... more

Advantages Advantages Great Action, Easy Controls, Really Addictive!

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None For Me!

Assassins Creed 2 (AC2) is a third person action adventure game that is the sequel to the popular Assassins Creed that originally came out in 2007. I have never played the original so I am afraid I cannot compare the 2. As someone who hasn't played the original, but had heard good things about the series and this new release, I asked and received it for Christmas. It is available from all good game retailers and will cost you anywhere between £25-£45 depending on where you pick it up and if it's new or used etc. Story ------- You play as Desmond, a man who can relive his ancestor's memories ... more

    Advantages Advantages Longevity Looks good

Disadvantages Disadvantages action is very samey

Assassins Creed was one of the biggest selling titles from a new IP and this sequel has been highly anticipated (although obviously over shadowed by this years/decades/generations most talked about fps sequel) and I was a huge fan of the first game, it had it's flaws but i really loved the characters and atmosphere created, the fun of playing altair the hardcore blood thirsty assassin. And the lack of that from this game is where it came short for me. GOOD The Great thing about the game play in this title is that they haven't changed too much from the original and rather more fixed it, you are ... more

Advantages Advantages Exciting storyline that exapands upon the first.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Leaves you wanting MORE!. No Multiplayer.

I can faithfully say that I was the first one into the shop when Assassins Creed 1 came out. Assassins Creed was the cause of a lot of debate from Game fans and critics. It really was a Love it or Hate it game. On the one hand, you had a stunning historical epic with an incredible storyline. Vast sweeping landscapes that looked Stunning. Fluid, free-flowing gameplay and combat that was enjoyable and easy to master. And the Free-running, who can forget the free-running. I found myself sitting for hours, running and jumping across the rooftops of Jerusalem, just because I could, and it looked so ... more

Advantages Advantages Stylish moves, Impressive story, excellent architecture reconstruction

Disadvantages Disadvantages No replay ability, felt too much like the first

Assassin’s Creed 2 By Justin Reed Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls gather ‘round for the main event of today’s show. Murder, Deception, and high flying acrobatics are all elements you shall see just behind this hard plastic green case. We re-enter the world of Desmond Miles, a mild mannered bartender we met in the first installment of the Assassin’s Creed series. Having been kidnapped by the baddies at the evil conglomerate Abstergo, he was originally being forced to relive his ancestors’ memories to find mythical items called the Pieces of Eden. Said to have untold powers, the company was ... more

Advantages Advantages Challenging, fun and frustration all in one game.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Controls are still a little odd.

Assassins Creed II takes you back to Italy during the time of Leonardo Da Vinci. You do get to meet Da Vinci and as your are an assassin, he helps you in your missions. The Start of the Game The early part of the game leaves off from Assassins Creed in the story line and I recommend that this game is played first otherwise some of the story may not be too apparent. The game makers do try to fill in on the gaps so playing the first game isn't totally essential. You do not play as the same character in Italy as you did in the first game, this time you take on the role of Ezio Auditore. Missions ... more

Advantages Advantages Superb graphics, amazing gameplay, nice sound

Disadvantages Disadvantages ending was less than stellar, parts as desmond were boring

Assassins Creed 2 is a superb game. It is the follow up to the 2007 game Assassins Creed. Ubisoft really made a masterpiece in Assassins Creed 2. Throughout the review I will use AC to represent Assassins Creed. In AC2 you play as Ezio Auditore, a young man who becomes an assassin after the betrayal of his family. He tries to hunt down the people who betrayed his family. Ezio is a great character and you will love him. Throughout the story you will visit different locations in renaissance Italy. You will meet memorable characters like Leonardo Da Vinci. The story is very well written and I ... more

Advantages Advantages Incredible graphic work. Good range of weapons. Free-roam system is very well presented.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Majority of the game is very easy.

Ok. I bought Assassins Creed 2 on launch day and could not wait to play it. I had played the first and thought it was great but the sequel was going to be way better. Assassins Creed 2 is set during the 1476 Renaissance in Venice, Italy. You start out by getting right into the action with Desmond escaping from Abstergo with Lucy and getting back into the Animus to take on the life of Ezio Auditore Da Firenze. When you first start out as Ezio you are confronted by a mob controlled by one of your enemies and they decide to pick a fight with you. When out of the cutscene you are shown a little ... more

Advantages Advantages Intriguing storyline, Brilliant storyline, Improved Missions

Disadvantages Disadvantages Fairly Easy, Occasionally poor camera, No online gameplay

Assassin's Creed 2 is a bloody journey through renaissance Italy that, in my opinion, significantly improves and expands the frankly poor core mechanic's of it's predecessor. The game picks up directly from the original and set's about continuing this intriguing storyline, in both the past and present. Whilst there are some points that the game-plays mechanic's can seem overwhelming, the developers do a good job of guiding you through it. I would also advise that you put the subtitle's on to make sure you catch the sublime banter between characters. Everything that you may have deemed to be a ... more
