Heeding the Creed
Review of Assassin's Creed (PS3) by Magrippinho

Advantages: Amazing animation, authentic-looking presentation
Disadvantages: No variation after the first few hours

...the season. The Story At its core, Assassin's Creed details the exploits of Third Crusade-era assassin Altaïr, fabled to have personally exterminated all of the Knights Templar. Besides showing Altaïr taking on demented overseers and the Templars' rising fear of him, early trailers also featured some blueish graphical "glitches" that piqued the curiosity of gamers and promised quite a twist for the main story. Yet, despite building ... Read review

PS3 Next gen game launch?
Review of Assassin's Creed (PS3) by MacUK

Advantages: Graphics are neat and realistic, lighting is incredible. Maps and environments rich and detailed
Disadvantages: Not much new in actual gameplay

...play on it and had Assassin's Creed on preorder from the moment UbiSoft started their marketing assault. I ordered the special edition (comes in a quite well designed tin) and contains 4 post cards along with the game. Paying £39.99 for this, I did not feel ripped off, as it was a good launch price against the standard offering on the shelves, being simply the case and gamedisc. Why was I so excited about this game? Was it because it promised ... Read review

Assassin's Creed PS3 - The low down.
Review of Assassin's Creed (PS3) by arrrtdave

Advantages: Beautiful graphics and an original story line. Fantastic free-running and combat system.
Disadvantages: At times repetitive and predictable. Also a little short.

...Prince of Persia esque style, Assassin's Creed takes free roam gaming to a new level. Explore the sprawling city streets and aid citizens, or catch a breath of fresh air and free-run across the cities rooftops: the game provides an original take on the adventure genre. However the game is not without faults. (read on) The combat system The games greatest strength's are the combat system and the free-running. When faced with guards ... Read review

Stabbed in the back by repetitive gameplay.
Review of Assassin's Creed (PS3) by Sheepster76

Advantages: Great Visuals.Intricate plot.
Disadvantages: Repetitive.Repetitive.Repetitive.Attack-you-for-no-reason guards.

Assassin's Creed was set to be one of the PS3's best games. Hyped up by previews, it seemed that nobody could wait to get their hands on this "next-gen" game. Unfortunately, they were on there way to another dissapointment. Lets just get this straight; Assassin's Creed is still a great game, but it could have been a brilliant game. Let's find out why then... Story Ubisoft had hinted in interviews and trailers that not all was what it seemed ... Read review

it could have been great
Review of Assassin's Creed (PS3) by trixster90

Advantages: great graphics, large game area
Disadvantages: repetative game play, annoying AI and sound

Let me start out by saying this is a good game. When I started playing as Alteir the assassin, I thought it was the most amazing thing ever just because the scale of the amazingly designed cities and towns. Just walking around and looking at the scenery and people is fun but unfortunately, after eight hours of gameplay, it truly fails to stay fresh i cant say this game was rubbish because it wasnt i just dont believe it was really that great yes ... Assassin's Creed, My Love/Hate Relationship
Review of Assassin's Creed (PS3) by JoeyLemons

Advantages: Near-Perfect Graphics, Completely Original Storyline
Disadvantages: Feelings of Repetition, Recycled Dialogue in places

...the launch of the PS3, Assassin's Creed is a game that quickly established itself as a big name in then next generation gaming world. The graphics are nothing short of beautiful (something that few games can boast) with incredible architecture on the buildings that you will certainly see plenty of as the gameplays on. The storyline is something special with a blend of Crusade-era combat and glimpses of the futuristic research facility that compliment ... Read review

Assassin's Creed, a good overall game
Review of Assassin's Creed (PS3) by Maxcf

Advantages: Good graphics, gameplay, combat, and it is fun for the first few hours.
Disadvantages: Repetative speech and combat, lots of glitches and a short game overall

This is a very good game. Let me make this clear. Its graphics are very good. The map is big to say the least and the gameplay is fun and intuative. You need to think to be good at this game: "Where is the best rooftop to hide on", "What will be my escape route", these should be the questions that you will ask yourself. The combat is also fun, however I find it a bit too easy and can easily take down over 20 guards without taking much damage. This ... Read review

anti-climax? money wasted? YES.
Review of Assassin's Creed (PS3) by ashleyboi

Advantages: killing guards, climbing houses and the vast map.
Disadvantages: Not Value for Money, too short, glitches and too repetitive!

To be honest the game is good and the gameplay original but in my opinion not worth buying, This game was recommended to me by a friend who was adamant that i buy it! brilliance he said. I bought it and it gave me a quick fix, however Its incredibly repetitive in all senses of gaming from the gameplay which is essentially the same missions with different faces, the sound meaning what the citizens say which bugged the life out of me, the sub-missions ... Quick review of Assassin\'s Creed (PS3)
Review of Assassin's Creed (PS3) by darrenmd

The game is really good but it gets really repetitive and eventually you will be bored. i Wouldnt advise getting the game as it is really easy and only good for an hour or so then you will get bored and want to move on to another game.

All about next gen gameplay...
Review of Assassin's Creed (PS3) by lildj08

Advantages: Amazing gameplay
Disadvantages: Storyline isn't the best of all...

It doesn't let you down after all the built up hype. Next gen graphics are clearly visible although the best thing about it is the gameplay. It seems like a lot of effort was put in to make sure that the motions are realistic and I can't complain about it. At first it may seem a bit too much with the different weapons and changing them to use the right one at the right time but it's not very hard to get used to them. It took me quite a few fights ... Very repetative
Review of Assassin's Creed (PS3) by bennyT595

Advantages: Superb graphics
Disadvantages: Very repetative, soon get bored

At firsrt i though that this was a very good game, however as the game progressed i found it became very repetative and there seemed to be no point to it after a while, escpecially with having to get to each view point everytime and doing very similar investigations. On the xbox 360 vision, there is achievements for doing this but obviously there isn't the playstation so it just feels point less, and having to go back to present time everytime you ... Advantages: Beautiful graphics, exhilerating gameplay
Disadvantages: After some time it's up to you to keep it exciting

...own a console version of Assassin's Creed but I eagerly await the PC version.I have completed this game on my friend's PS3 with a HD television. When you first play you will notice how graphically stunning it is. HD or not. There are some clipping issues while performing certain tricks but that's not too much of an issue. One thing that I loved about the console version and I hope I don't lose on the PC is the layout of controls. The opposing hands ... Read review
