TT Coupe Quattro 225 friend or foe??

Advantages: Fast, fun, solid build, reliable engine, and very safe
Disadvantages: Not very pratical, more of a posers car then a serious sports car

Test model Audi TT 225 Quattro Reg No. X665 NLB Imported model LHD Mileage 73,100 Actual 0-60: 5.5 secs Obtained MPH: 147mph The Audi TT since its release has been a highly successful coupe. Released in 1998 in Europe the baby Audi has certainly proved it is not a baby under the skin. Our model we purchased is a 2000 X plated imported model (registered UK in 2002) has got just over 73,000 miles and is the metallic denim blue, with the RS4 ...
...very encased and felt the Audi quality straight away, there was a few niggles which I put behind me until I got back to Birmingham. Luckily half a mile from the centre and also on the way to the motorway I found a Texaco and after finally finding the petrol cap button filled up the car which cost me £60 to my shock, which I then realised was because the Quattro models have a 62 litre tank!! That was bigger then our Freelander tank. The nitty gritty ...

...my company car was an Audi TT quattro 225 in Denim Blue. I had it for 18 months and covered 30,000 miles in it. (Note: My TT was an X-reg 2001 model. The latest version has slighty revised and improved handling, so if you're buying new, my comments about handling later on may be less applicable.) First the good. I don't need to tell you it is gorgeous. If you've seen one you already know it. It has influenced the design of most cars since its release ...
...No-one builds a car like Audi (even with the couple of rattles, the impression was still one of solidity). No car looks as complete as the TT. But the driving experience is a little insipid. The biggest thrills the car gave me were when you pull away juuuust right and the car rockets forward leaving all behind you. When you drop into fourth to overtake on the motorway. But never going round a bend. If you want to cruise in comfort, safety and style, ...

What's All The Fuss About?

Advantages: Fast, Eye-Catching, Appeals to Many
Disadvantages: Understeer, Dark Interior

...express my concerns on the Audi TT, especially in the face of a wave of public adoration for the car, and it's hard to know just where to start but for me it's got to be the exterior. The TT's styling is one of the most acclaimed around with jealous neighbours, proud owners and industry pundits alike all proclaiming it gorgeous, from the pretty snub nose to the curved roofline and on to the sloped flanks of the rear. When it was launched in 1998 ...
...has two back seats - Audi may just as well have made it a two-seater. The front seats certainly provide ample legroom and headroom for tall adults but their seats end up in a position that would cause a three-year-old sitting in the back to need their legs amputating, and while that sloped roofline provides the necessary headroom in the front it's not so accommodating in the rear. The TT's two proper seats in the front, however, are comfortable ...

...silver (one in the pic) Audi TT Coupe and will try to sum up the good and bad points about it. Points to note: Great performance. Basically all models have the same engine size and is only a 1.8L. This suprises most people as the cars have a, well deserved, reputation for speed. The power results from that engine being turbo charged. There are two models - performance wise - the 180 BHP and the 225 BHP. I've got the 180BHP and is honestly fast ...
...is a respectable 30 although AUDI recommend that super unleaded is used which costs an extra 10pence per litre generally. Insurance: This is the real killer. I'm 27 and have no no claims discount so It's costing me £2000 a year to insure. A lot I know but worth it! I have had to get the tracker system fitted before my insurance company would even consider it! That was an extra £300 The reason for buying the model I did were: I like Silver! The ...

Sleek Beauty

Advantages: smooth and sleek
Disadvantages: I don't have enough money

The Audi TT Quattro is a serious beauty of a sports car which reverts me to a drooling wreck everytime I see one. The design is completely different from other Audi’s on the market but yet still unmistakably Audi. The TT is available as either a coupe or roadster design – both are equally cool. The appeal is easy to see from the outside. It’s clear rounded shapes form it’s bold and dramatic style coupled with the traditional ...
...of the car reminds me of pandas! What? I hear you cry! I think it’s probably something to do with the black windowed headlights mimicking the panda’s black patched eyes. I have to admit I don’t own one, have never been in one and can’t drive but I have it on good authority that the TT is a real classic sports car, both fast and manoeuvrable on the outside and an interior of leather upholstery and aluminium detail. Standard ...

Bo dis car man!!!!

Advantages: Wicked sports car, qulity drive
Disadvantages: Not good value for money

Has got to be the smoothest car on the market. Great shape and speed with lovely leather seats. However the car isn’t value for money; my brother bought this car and let me have a drive. I found that in comparison to the most cars it has very poor handling. When turning corners I noticed that you really had to put a lot of strength into the turning. Furthermore it uses a lot of fuel to the mile, I only get 23 miles to the gallon. In comparison to ...

Audi TT 1.8T Quatto

Advantages: Looks, cabin, interior, preformance, handling
Disadvantages: slight squeeze in the back for tall people

Great sleek and slik car. Is a tad common now, however as soon as your behind the wheel that doesn't matter. Lovely cabin, the driving position is good, and the blue and red lighting gives the interior at night a nice touch. And the heated seats are brilliant in the winter. The preformance is thrilling, as soon as the turbo kicks in at around 4k revs the fun begins. A torquey engine. The six speed gearbox is also economicaly efficient. Now for ...

Advantages: Sexy, Convertable, Sporty, Performance Car
Disadvantages: Expensive to buy and insure!

A serious sports car with exceptional handling and a powerful 20-valve turbo with 225 bhp. Quattro is a permanent 4-wheel drive. An unmistakable interior with aluminium detailing and leather. A roof that disappears in an instant (just make sure that it is not raining). Cosseting comfort for two. Unlike anything else. The TT Roadster quattro - inspiring performance with all the right noises! If you want a car with all these exceptional features, ...

Absolutely Awesome

Advantages: Awesome looks, driver comfort, hey, it's an Audi!!
Disadvantages: Minimum room in back seat, everybody hates you for buying one!!

THE Audi TT is THE car to be driving, it's fast, precise, stable ride is one of the best you can buy for this kind of money. I was very pleased when I test-drove the 180 BHP version and that made my mind up - I wanted one. I went a little overboard with the cash and chose the 225 BHP version - it blew me away. I cannot get over the style, the acceleration, the technology, the ride, the comfort that this go-kart provides, not forgetting the looks ...

...is just as good. The Audi TT is becoming more like a 911 every time a new look model comes out. But dont get me wrong it is a fantastic little sports car which is extermly reliable, as are most cars from german manufactures. The interior is as always very nice, especially if you have the leather trim. The Quattro package is probaly the best feature, becasue not only do u get the 2.8 litre engine, you get the sports alloys, the lot. If bought new ...

Advantages: Look at it!
Disadvantages: Stability without a spoiler

Could the audi TT be the most stylish Audi ever made? I certainly think so - as do a lot of others. Just take a look at the car and you'll see that there really is no other coupe of the same price range that can compare on styling. I think the best colours are Dark Blue and the most popular Silver, but really the car looks great in nearly all colours. The car has also got a lot of performance, and I think that the early problems of high speed stability ...
