Advantages Advantages Great Design, Great Interior, Best petrol cap on a car ever!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Possibly too common now, Price, Target for Vandalism and theft

After lusting after an Audi TT for the best part of two years, I found myself in the local dealership placing an order, one Saturday afternoon. The reason for my latest impulse purchase was the announcement of the (then) new 180FWD (Front wheel drive) coupe, which was quite a bit cheaper than it's heavier and slower 4WD (Quattro) counterpart. This release had finally brought the TT into my price range, at a shade over £21K (before options) it's not what I'd call a cheap car and after adding 18" wheels, BOSE sound system, 6CD Multichanger, and pearlescent paint I was looking at the best part of ... more

Advantages Advantages the dogs in car design, engineering, and all round sex appeal

    Disadvantages Disadvantages I haven't got one, I haven't got one, I HAVEN'T GOT ONE

I first saw the sex god on wheels in Germany. We were going to the pub one night when ahead of us was this little beast of a car that I had never seen the likes of before. As we got near to it I could hear a faint whisper – ‘come on Mel, you know you want me, haven’t you been waiting all your life to meet me? I know you want to ride me, feel the wind through your hair as I take you to heaven and back’ (ahem – sorry). Anyway the love affair with the Audi TT Coupe began. Thankfully they were not available in this country, so I couldn’t get out of control ... more

Advantages Advantages Fuel flap is brilliant, sleek, sportie, cute.

Disadvantages Disadvantages everyone is buying them

The TT what can i say, one of the most popular cars on the market at the moment - as proved by the fact Audi were never going to build it and now are spending a few million on advertising. The TT was a concept car and eventually Audi brought it on to the market, it has been well received by most, and has one numerous car awards. The interior is fantastic, comfortable leather heated seats, air conditioning and an excellent retro looking dashboard. There are a few amusing features, you open the fuel port by pushing a button in the car, and the fuel flap pops up always bringing a smile. I bought ... more

Advantages Advantages Extremely good handling, crisp drive, beautiful pick up, contemporary look

Disadvantages Disadvantages some blind spots- front and rear, feel every little bump on the road

Its 3 years now since i've been driving the new Audi TT and so far absolutely no complaints/ concerns. I was a bit concerned at the start given that the new model was just launched . I also did worry that a lot of the body work was'nt metal- as in worrying about early paint fading, scratches, swirls etc on these parts. However most of my concerns turned out to be ill-founded. The paint is as shiny as ever, the drive and handling is as crisp as ever, the pick up still exhilirating. And absolutely no maintenance issues thus far. And best of all it still looks really good and contemporary. Even ... more

    Advantages Advantages Very Trendy

Disadvantages Disadvantages 2003 most unrealiable car

Most people reading this will not believe it but in August 2003 the independent consumer magazine Which? rated the Audi TT and the most unreliable car for 2003. This research was based on consumer responses to the number of breakdowns experienced by owners of new cars in the first twelve months of ownership. A staggering 25% of brand new Audi TT's will breakdown in the first twelve months. According to the research it is the engines electrics which let the car down. Before spending your £25K remember you could buy at least two Honda Accords (The most relaiable car for 2003) for the price of an ... more

    Advantages Advantages Everybody wants one

Disadvantages Disadvantages You don't have one!

Go ahead and get one. You only live once so get out of that boring saloon and experience the thrill of a fast attractive car. You will not fail to get admiring glances when you drive one. The 225bhp goes like stink. You'll really need to watch your speed if you want to keep your licence! Silver with Black leather seats looks the best. Pink leather may make it a bit difficult to sell! Not much room in the back seats but who wants a full house in a car like this. You will not be disappointed as long as you buy from a reputable source. There are a lot of rogue cars, especially left hand drive ... more
