Advantages: Great Design, Great Interior, Best petrol cap on a car ever! Disadvantages: Possibly too common now, Price, Target for Vandalism and theft
After lusting after an Audi TT for the best part of two years, I found myself in the local dealership placing an order, one Saturday afternoon. The reason for my latest impulse purchase was the announcement of the (then) new 180FWD (Front wheel drive) coupe, which was quite a bit cheaper than it's heavier and slower 4WD (Quattro) counterpart. This release had finally brought the TT into my price range, at a shade over £21K (before options) it's not ... ...same power as cars in it's class. But for me it's a great example of a car which managed to make it's way from concept to production without being watered down too much.
Lets hope Audi improve with the New TT, and raise the bar just a little. ...

Advantages: the dogs in car design, engineering, and all round sex appeal Disadvantages: I haven't got one, I haven't got one, I HAVEN'T GOT ONE
...the love affair with the Audi TT Coupe began. Thankfully they were not available in this country, so I couldn’t get out of control whenever I saw one. Then two months back I saw one being driven near my home. This old bloke of about 60 was driving it about 20 mph down a dual carriageway!! I wanted to drag him from the drivers seat and shown him how this baby should be driven. I didn’t I just went sailing past him in my Rover 25 shaking ... ...The Audi TT is available in two designs – the Coupe version has a hard roof, the roadster version a soft top. Engine size is 1.8 with a bhp of 180 or 225. It does 0-62mph in 7.9 seconds with a top speed of 140 mph (Bet I could beat that!) and it does 30 miles to the gallon. It has a 6 speed gearbox and is the mother of all cars (sorry) It comes with an amazing range of standard equipment – Five spoke alloy wheels Driver and passenger ...

Advantages: Fuel flap is brilliant, sleek, sportie, cute. Disadvantages: everyone is buying them
...as proved by the fact Audi were never going to build it and now are spending a few million on advertising. The TT was a concept car and eventually Audi brought it on to the market, it has been well received by most, and has one numerous car awards. The interior is fantastic, comfortable leather heated seats, air conditioning and an excellent retro looking dashboard. There are a few amusing features, you open the fuel port by pushing a button in the ... ...exhausts or you do not. Audi seem to have gone for a sort of show, so to speak. I immediately got rid of the twin exhaust system and put in a over sized remhus system.
The front bumper on the TT is two high from the ground and is not sporting enough, as such I had this ripped off and replaced with a Caractere sports bumper.
The engine itself is very sound, however for a sports car it just is not fast enough. The TT can be bought as 180 HP single ...

Advantages: Extremely good handling, crisp drive, beautiful pick up, contemporary look Disadvantages: some blind spots- front and rear, feel every little bump on the road
...i've been driving the new Audi TT and so far absolutely no complaints/ concerns. I was a bit concerned at the start given that the new model was just launched . I also did worry that a lot of the body work was'nt metal- as in worrying about early paint fading, scratches, swirls etc on these parts.
However most of my concerns turned out to be ill-founded. The paint is as shiny as ever, the drive and handling is as crisp as ever, the pick up still ...
