Advantages Advantages Cheap, do what they should, easy to apply

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

When my daughter was born, there wasn’t much need to any sun protection as it was Christmas time yet as the months past and the sun started to come out more and more, we decided to invest in some. I purchased these from Amazon and found that they were quite reasonably priced at around £3 which included postage and packaging. These are also available in places like Wilkos and Halfords for a similar price, there are also different sizes available. I think the price is quite competitive when you compare to places like Toys R Us and Mothercare. You get two shades in a pack, they are plain black ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to use, effective at keeping interior cool and protecting sensitive eyes, affordable, folding

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None.

For a number of years I had seen cars with sun shades stuck to the window. Some of them come with cartoon characters on them, though a lot are plain black. I thought that they were a great idea for keeping the Sun's harmful rays off small children in the back of a car, though they are not just for youngsters. Sun shades are a great way of hiding the upholstery away from direct sunlight, and when you have a leather interior it can be a real pain getting into the car after leaving it in the Sun for some time. Advantages Advantages Keeps bright sunshine out of eyes

Disadvantages Disadvantages Children unable to see the view

Previous to this, it wasn’t that the sun didn’t bother us, but having the children we were certainly more conscious of the sun getting into their eyes whilst driving, and thus making it potentially more dangerous when driving, as the children were becoming twisty as the sunshine was glaring into their eyes. We finally decided on the Autocare Folding Sunshades and purchased these from a large branch of Mothercare. From recollection, I believe they cost around £5.99 although I have since seen these being sold ... more

While my sister works I look after her two children for one day a week. We swap over the car seats in to my vehicle and away we go. As it is approaching summer and is already starting to get hot, I thought it was time I purchased some sun shades for the car. I didn’t want to spend much so I looked on eBay. *Price and availability* I bought my sun shades from eBay and only paid 99p which was an absolute bargain for a brand new pair! They are currently on Amazon for £1.99 and available at Sainsbury’s. *Description* The shades measure 380mm x 440mm. Due to the size of my windows, they don’t block ... more
