I went along to Available Car in Castle Donnington a couple of Sundays ago looking to purchase a nearly new Ford Focus. It was overall an excellent experience and took the stress out of what can be a stressful transaction. I had come across Available Car on their website about a year ago. I was very struck by their prices and the wide choice of cars. I was particularly interested in a Ford Fiesta Zetec that they had, so after phoning, I travelled the 200 miles by train from Kent to take a look. ...solved. I went back to Available Car and asked for a full refund or a vehicle equal to the amount of what I paid as the vehicle was sold defective and could not be repaired. The sales Manager told me that the best he could offer was a vehicle that I had driven earlier that cut out 3 times within 1 mile and the bodywork looked like it had done the RAC rally twice and was up for sale for nearly £1000 cheaper than mine. I bought a car from them when i took it for a test drive, i could tell somthing was wrong with the gears, and the gearleaver was very loose , when i put my foot on the cluch it banged, thay said that thay would put this right, but thay didnt when i took it for a full service for its second year, there were three bolts missing of the front and back of the engine mounts. thay were were suppost to have done this but didnt, and i dont think that thay did the special cleaning that i payed for ,very poor service as long as you pay your money thay dont care .

Not at all helpful, unwilling to provide a service to help anyone but them selfs, it took ages to get the car in the first place even though we pleaded with them. Our sales man on the day of transfer , while we were waiting for our car was texting someone while we were sat at the desk! after we found out we needed a docoment we didnt have with us they were just like so you cant take the car then, no offer of help or advice. The car was amazing and i really wanted it otherwise i would of walked out there and then.. we will never deal with these again, they are seriously lacking in hte customer service department.

Advantages: Nice cars
Disadvantages: Poor customer service and poor knowledge about their products

The car I chose was nice, my only gripe with the company is the following.. Although you spend thousands on the car, they dont tax the car but have the cheek to give you a tax holder. Once I got the car, it was running on fumes and in a town I`am not familiar with, it was a mad rush to try and find a petrol station. I`ve been waiting weeks for my new log book to arrive, so I rang DVLA and no documents have been sent to them to notify change ... Read review
