Advantages Advantages lasts a long time, price and buildable colour

    Disadvantages Disadvantages packaging

After applying my foundation and powder I always add bronzer to my cheeks, chin and forehead to give my skin a naturally looking glow. I have used Avon for just over four years now and I have liked most of the products I have purchased from there. I was left in a little dilemma as I had been struggling to find a bronzer that doesn’t look streaky when I have applied it over my setting powder so I decided to have a look through the avon brochure that had arrived that day as I was always left fairly satisfied with avons cosmetics and skin care. The packaging is fairly simple it comes in a bronzed ... more

Advantages Advantages Good quality, lasted me ages, nicely blended colour

Disadvantages Disadvantages Not for you if you have really pale white skin

This is a short product review I posted on dooyoo not long ago, and thought I would post the same review here on ciao. Arabian Glow Bronzing Pearls I bought these bronzing pearls from Avon. For £8.50 they were a little higher than I'm usually willing to spend on make up but I decided since they looked so lovely in the brochure I might as well just give them a try. I like most Avon make up products so expected these to be of equal quality to everything else I've tried. In the brochure it says about these bronzing pearls 'Light-reflective pigments help create a warm, healthy glow'. I agree with ... more

Review of Avon Arabian Glow Bronzing Pearls The Product Available from Avon representatives or the Avon website, these bronzing pearls retail at around £9 for a 22g pot. The bronzing pearls are presented in a sturdy brown plastic pot, with a twist-off lid. The pearls are protected by a circular sponge and a plastic cover. The pearls themselves are a mixture of pink, brown and tan coloured pea sized pearls of compressed bronzing powder. Avon say that the pearls contain light-reflective pigments that help create a warm, healthy-looking glow. The pearls also have a lovely sweet smell. How to Use ... more

Advantages Advantages Good colour for dark skintones, builds up easily, keeps well, multiple uses.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Pearls stick to brush, not good for fairer skintones, ingredients only listed on box not pot.

I bought the Avon Arabian Glow Bronzing Pearls when they were on special along with the multi-stylo. Currently they are available full price for £9.00. Packaging The pearls come in a medium sized brown-gold pot, with the Avon 'A' logo on the front, but with not additional pictures or words aside from that. On the base there is a sticker detailing the company, the product title, weight (22g) and suggested shelf life (24 months). To find the ingredients and directions for use, check the back of the box that the pot arrived in, as this isn't available on the pot itself (a bit of a design flaw ... more

Advantages Advantages Easy to use, light brush across my cheekbones looks fantastic, good price, comes off easily.

Disadvantages Disadvantages Overuse, even slight overuse, shows up quite obviously on my pale complexion.

Bronzer isn't a product that I use on a regular basis. I tend to find that bronzer always looks over the top no matter how little you use and really I feel that a lot of women who wear it look a little ridiculous. I actually received this bronzer from my sister who thought the same as I did but didn't want it to go to waste so I decided to give it a try and see what I thought! It has been languishing on my dressing table since then and I've actually used it a few times with fairly favourable results. This product is available from Avon and costs between £6.00 and £10.00 depending on promotions ... more

    Advantages Advantages Nice colour, coverage

Disadvantages Disadvantages Sometimes gives me spots

I bought this product from the Avon book quite a few years ago and its something I wear from time to time, usually in the summer when I want to give my face and decollatage a bit of a glow. Avon say that this pearls will give skin the luminous look of a natural tan and I do agree and like the look that I can achieve with these pearls. The nice thing about Avon is that they offer everyday products but as quite cheap prices and usually the quality is very good. The pearls come in a round plastic tub that has a screw top lid. The lid is easy to open and the pearls stay securely in there when they ... more

Advantages Advantages long lasting, good value for money, neutral with no glitter, suits most skin tones

Disadvantages Disadvantages the containers a bit boring but nothing major

I remember my sister used to use this product in the 90s and looked amazing and so wanted to try it for myself. Between then and now I have tried several other types of bronzing pearls; such as the Body Shop's which not only cost slightly more but just made me look like I'd been tangoed. Many other brands of bronzing pearls have an orangey or reddish tone to them; glittery bits or are all the same shade so its somewhat pointless that they are in pearls and not just in a powder compact. The normal price of this product is around £8.50. However on occasion they do have offers like buy 3 products ... more

Advantages Advantages Lasts all night and pot lasts a long time too

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Quite pricey normally

I'm a big fan of Avon products. I probably buy something from the catalogue every month or so but I love scouring through it every week for a new bargain or new fascinating product. Usually I don't stray too far from my regular fragrances and moisturisers but every now and then I splash out and buy some make-up or children's clothes. **Arabian Glow Bronzing Pearls** I came across these when I was on the hunt to find a replacement bronzer. (My old fave sun shimmer died when my daughter's hands came across it)!! This caught my eye immediately as it looked fascinating and quite different. I had ... more

Advantages Advantages Can be used on any skin type

Disadvantages Disadvantages Can be easily trodden into carpets

Arabian glow bronzing pearls from Avon is one of the few beauty products I buy again and again as I have yet to find another that is as good. The product comes in a round plastic pot that contains 22g. Inside the pot there is a round sponge that keeps the pearls in place so they don’t get shaken about in the pot and fall apart if you carry them around in your handbag, therefore they last longer. I currently have over half left and I last purchased this product about four months ago, although I don’t use it every day. The pot it’s self arrives in a small cardboard box. The pearls are about pea ... more

Advantages Advantages Gentle glow, good quality product

Disadvantages Disadvantages Seems to fade/rub off as the day goes on

~Overview~ Good quality product which gives a subtle glow, no "you've been tangoed" here, never seems to run out, but the effect does seem to wear off as the day goes on ~Quality~ I have used a variety of bronzing pearls, and for the price I have found the Avon product one of the best. I use this as a blusher type product, or all over for a more even and slightly tanned effect (although I am always cautious because I can be a tad heavy handed!) The main reason I love these is the subtlety - a few wiggles with my brush across the pearls, and gentle strokes across my cheeks, achieves a nice ... more
