One Lump Or Two?

Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: Lethal

...is this Bic? *** Bic could be one of two things; a pointy instrument filled with ink that we use for writing and otherwise known as a pen. OR An in your face yellow handled, white headed plastic instrument with a single metal blade and an equally in your face yellow protective cover. This is what is known as a razor. Both could possibly be made by the same people as the logo on the bright yellowy orange cellophane type packaging for the razor, ...
...known to be wrong!) Bic razor is the item I will be opinionating on today. *** It has a blade? Is it a weapon? *** Well it could well be. Though ideally it’s intended use is to remove humanoids of any unwanted hair (facial or otherwise) it’s actual usage seems to be for gouging chunks of flesh from unsuspecting persons anatomy. Could this be a secret weapon, temporarily rendering said humanoids into blood covered, tissue swabbed swearing wrecks? ...

...I saw these cheap looking bic razors at just 95p for a pack of 5. I decided I would give them a try, after all, they were hardly going to break the bank and if I was unimpressed I could rant about them on Ciao!! ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ The Packet ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Now my first criticism is that the packet was very unattractive and on a shelf next to other nicely packaged razors this pack does not really stand out. ...
...~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ What Bic Claim ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Amusingly Bic claim that the single blade razor is designed for easy cleaning (hmmmm whatever!!) and that it gives women a ‘silky smooth shave’ (and pigs can fly!). They also claim that the long handles allow you to have greater control (yes you can select where you want the slices on your legs!) ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ The Legs Test ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ ...

YHWMAN Challenge - Dont Buy These Skin Removers

Advantages: Nothing, nil, zada, zich. (Can you think of any more negatives I can use?)
Disadvantages: Read my whole opinion.

...she brought me these disposable Bic things as a stopgap. Now I knew that these things existed, as they are on fairly prominent display wherever toiletries are sold, but I’d never been tempted to try them out, as I thought that a company renowned for manufacturing biros probably wouldn’t be the best around at making men’s razors. ~ ~ Guess what? I was right!! Come Friday morning, and my own razor now being blunt enough to shock ...
...he’d only known about these Bic disposable razors. Talk about rough! It wasn’t that they were sharp, more like pure lethal. I reckon the steel they use when making them must have been bought fourth-hand from a dodgy scrap metal dealer specialising in sub-standard Russian tanks left over from the war in Afghanistan. Or maybe it was the war with Hitler!!!! These things must have been commissioned by the companies that sell soothing cream ...

Aaaaaargh

Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: Life-threatening

...bargain! I used my Bic on wet legs with one week’s hair growth, smothered in a generous helping of good quality moisturising shave gel. Looks: Bic razors look like what they are: cheap. No frills whatsoever. Just a single blade in a rigid orange plastic razor. No swivelling, bending, adjusting allowed. Handling: Being no frills, Bic razors have no corrugated/knobbly/rubberised bits to make it easier to grip them or less slippy, but on the other ...
...Glideability: Bic razors do not glide. Bic razors move over your skin like a car with the handbrake on. They jolt, they strain, they drag, they almost squeal as they make their potentially life-threatening way around your body. Shave Quality: Quality is not a word to associate with Bic razors. Despite all my best efforts - and I’m pretty good at shaving my legs, having been doing it for over 20 years - I was left with part-bald, part-stubbly, part-positively-tufty ...

The Deadly Assassin

Advantages: Cheap price
Disadvantages: Cuts your face very easily especially the chin area, never try to use them for a second time, handle is too short, thin, too lightweight

...of Torture” etc BIC Disposable razors have been around for ages, which is rather surprising due to their lethal nature. This is one product that ought to have a safety warning much like a cigarette packet, with warnings such as “Warning This Product May Severely Alter Your Face” or “Warning Vampires May be Attracted To This Product Due to Its Blood Forming Potential”. My usual shaving mechanism is the Gillette Sensor ...
...I found myself using the BIC Disposable I was optimistic about its potentials and its results since it was similar in characteristics to the Gillette Blue. However I could not have been more wrong in my appraisal. The BIC Disposable razor is an absolutely horrid mechanism posing as a razor. The tendency for cutting yourself is so great that if you did not you probably deserve a medal in maneuvering skills. The handle is very short for shaving purposes ...

Orange dealers of death and destruction

Advantages: They are orange
Disadvantages: Less than useless after one cut - more than dangerous when virgin

...orange terror known as the BIC RAZOR. You see, at 99p for a pack of twelve of these disposable razors, there is probably no cheaper bathroom related product in the world today and tite gits have a habit of seeking out the bargain. Let's just consult the Pharmacy 2U website for one moment to see what they think of the said product - "BIC Razor for Sensitive Skin, the first in a long line of shaving traditions provides a close, smooth and satisfying ...
...and effectively. It's simple with BIC Razor for Sensitive Skin you get total shaving satisfaction from a name you trust. This razor is designed specially for sensitive skin and provides an optimal and comfortable shave for approximately one week. It has an easy cleaning blade and grip designed for greater hold." WARNING- these razors are deadly

Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: Everything else

I'll be positive and start with the advantages of these razors, they are cheap, very cheap, about 10p each. Also... no that is it that's the only advantage! The Disadvantages Firstly just look at one, they are bright orange, and have less curves than a brick. They look awful and cheap, that's because they are. Their looks are not the main problem though. It is that they are dangerous, very dangerous. They do not cut hair, they cut skin! After shaving ...
...by an irate hedgehog. The cuts are so numerous that you can feel blood dripping off you into the sink. Then to try and use any sort of after shave is a sure way of producing a loud scream! Ok, so they are cheap, but the reason they are only 10p each is that they are worth that much. The only thing you can look forward to with these is throwing them away. Compared to other diposable razors such as gillette's, they are rubbish, and belong in a bin. ...

Blood and mass mutilation

Advantages: If you're into blood, then they're great
Disadvantages: If you want a shave they are completely hopeless

Bic Razors will leave a trail of blood and skin around the bathroom. Having just read Chris Cooper's (check it) opinion reminded me of the time I used Bic razors on holiday - I didn't want to take my usual Mach 3 with me, so I thought a packet of disposables will do me for a week. My god, how wrong could I be. I know they're cheap, but you do expect to be able to shave with them. There is one blade, which is no good after one shave, thus a packet ...
...cheap). They have a fixed head which is small and weak, so you cannot guide it properly around your face. The one blade catches on your stubble and there is no lube so sure enough you get nics all over your neck and chin. A complete waster of time unless you are into blood and s&M, in which case I can highly recommend them! ...

The Luddites of The Razor World

Advantages: Cheap and Gives a Good Shave
Disadvantages: You need to Know how to shave

...why I always return to Bic Single blade razors. The quality of shave is consistent all along the beard, but this is a function of who is shaving as much as what razor you are using. There is also a good clearance between the bottom of the blade and the plastic bit on the razor so even after a few days heavy growth there is no problem with clogging up. The shave is also as good as any I have had with any other kind of razor apart from a cut-throat ...

---VERY DANGEROUS---

Advantages: Very cheap
Disadvantages: Nasty and Painful

BIC razors are dangerous! They are nasty, like shaving with barbed wire. Sure they're cheap and can bought practically everywhere in the world but they are so painful. Unless your skin is like aged leather then your face will be ripped to shreds and there will be more skin in the sink than on your face! I use these VERY RARELY and only in extreme circumstances. I have decided to stop using these no matter where I am in the World if I have a date ...

...than £1.50 the lovley yellow bic single blade razors were the only ones i could afford. Knowing that my legs were begining to turn into a jungle and a lawnmower would soon be needed to plough through the masses of hair! ok, an exageration, but women...hairy legs are not attractive! lol So i get home with my cheapo razors, until that day, i had never cut myself shaving, but even with shaving foam, soap and shaving oil, it hacked my legs to peices. ...

Advantages: Cheap
Disadvantages: A tad hard on the face

These razors really are for emergency purposes unless you've got a face made of leather. They look cheap and nasty and they shave exactly like they look, cheap and nasty. Probally the only plus side to them is the fact they are cheap. Use these once and then throw them away as the blades really arnt meant for continuous use. Be prepared for cuts and nicks if youve left that bristle a day longer than you should have. All that said if im away for the ...

Like shaving with barb wire

Advantages: They're cheap
Disadvantages: They're nasty

These razors are cheap and extremely nasty. Whenever I have been forced to use them (only in emergencies) they have torn my face to pieces - large swathes of flapping skin soaking in blood (you get the idea). And using aftershave after using these razors is like rubbing salt into a wound. I'm sure someone has used these razors as a form of torture. I have pretty sensitive skin, though. My dad, who has a face like aged leather has no trouble using ...

Blade of the bath-tub

Advantages: Gets the job done cheaply!
Disadvantages: Cuts like the best of them!

Bic razors are quite good - they're cheap and cheerful with a sharp blade and reasonable lasting power as far as disposable razors go.. I have to say that they're not the best blades, but they are just too perfect to take with you on holiday and you can buy them nearly everywhere! Let's just say they get the job done! the only disadvantage would be if you press down too hard with the razor then you can get a nasty cut that stings like buggery! This ...
...bits!!! I aways use Bic razors with a little shaving foam or soap if I'm poor and can't afford the stuff! This is more effective as it seems to make sure that more of the hair is reachable to the blade and lessens the friction on your skin. All in all Bic razors will always be good and reliable - except those those darling little cuts and nicks!!! I use Bic razors because: A. They're cheap and B. They get the job done! ...
