...of the market?
These Bic razors come into that category. They are disposable, they are cheap BUT they are a danger to all !!! They really are nasty to use. My wife (who resisted my offer to let her borrow one) snuck a packet of these into our travel bag before we flew out on holiday. Fortunately - unbeknown to her - I had already secreted away my usual Mach 3 razor and blades. But she had tried, bless her cotton buds, so I did try them out (much ... ...certainly hate to use any Bic razors for 'regular' skin, if this is the quality of their product for 'sensitive' skinees like me.
I usually shave both my face and my head each morning. I will confess quite readily that I did not trust the shaving of my bald bonce to these 'lethal weapons'. It made emough of a mess of my face thank you very much.
There is not much more I can tell you about this product except this - BE AFRAID...BE VERY AFRAID. In ...

...It also tells the nearest Bic headquarters for each country; in the UK, BIC UK Limited - Middx UB9 6NS.
Straightaway this throws up some queries such as when they say it provides a shave for one week, they do not specify how many times you might shave your legs in that one week. I do mine every other day, so clearly I would be using a razor more times than someone who might do theirs once a week. This is a point that the company could do with clarifying.

*** Using the product ***
The first time I used one of these razors I was in the bath. It did leave my legs smooth, but the next day I noticed a bit of a shaving rash so I didn’t shave my legs again for a couple of days.
So, the next time I shaved my legs I was in the shower. And I’ll admit that I was in ...

Advantages: Cheap Disadvantages: Not Long Lasting, Lethal, Flimsy
...are on holiday for the weekend, have forgot your normal razor and desperately need a shave. I bet the MD of Bic doesn't use these, and you shouldn't either. Invest in a good quality electric shaver or a Lynx/MACH 3 Razor.
For goodness sake keep them away from youngsters. ...

Advantages: Cheap Disadvantages: Blunt razor - as sensitive as Freddie Kruger - made from cheap plastic - hard to grip
Bic, oh Bic what have you done to me? I was once a good looking lad until I decided I would start shaving and naively took it upon myself to use these RMD (Razors of Mass Destruction).
I remember the day of purchase. £0.99 for 5 for the razors in a nice cheap looking bag. I was excited at becoming a man and finally ridding my upper lip of the wisp of ferret hair that had grown slowly over the years. The surprising fact is that these razors are so ... ...profitable with all the competition! - They are still produced today and yes, aside from my first shave I keep a pack in my desk draw in case of emergencies - I will add that they are not for me to use - I'm not a sadist.
The razor is cheap to the touch with the flimsy plastic available in green, orange or white. I opted for the orange - Don't ask why! They contain only one blade and have a strip above that should in theory soothe and moisturise ...

...buy the cheap and cheerful BIC razors -they are pretty lethal weapons! I cant say that they have given me a good close clean shave as thats far from the truth. I'm not heavey handed when I use a razor - but I always end up cutting myself with these razors and quite badly as well. They are an economy product which gives you economy results! They really are totally useless and go blunt within 2 shaves. Not on my buy again list! ...

Advantages: Cheap Disadvantages: Poor shave, lethal(!), each blade only lasts one shave
I used these razors as they were cheap, simple, and disposable. The shave they give is poor, and each blade only really lasts a single shave before it's totally useless - which I accept is what's supposed to happen. There are no safety wires or anything similar which makes it very easy to cut yourself, and I found when using the razor I almost always gave myself barber's rash on my neck. I honestly can't see any redeeming features with these, since ...

Advantages: cheap, easy to use, available almost everywhere Disadvantages: shaving cuts! ouch :(
BIC Sensitive Razors are excellent! they're basic, cheap and achieve the required result and at the amazing price of 99p for 10 and available from almost every shop imaginable you can afford to have a new one as often as you like (unlike pricey battery/mains powered alternatives).
I suspect everyone has heard of BIC and probably at one time used them so need I say more?
It is personal preference whether you shave wet with the use of gels or dry ... ...stand the mess of gels and other such products - tried it and didn't like it :(
As with most disposable razors the blade is open for attack so care does need to be taken moreso (in my opinion) when you opt for a wet shave as slipping and hence slicing your skin can be a hazard!
Excellent shaving quality, easy to use, cheap and cheerful and minimal attack of the skin risk if used carefully. ...

Advantages: Smooth, comfortable and pretty close shave if used properly. Cheap Disadvantages: Will cut you if not used properly
...used the sensitive and normal bic single blade disposables on trips. I am starting to find these razors so comfortable and irration free that I may switch to these from my old safety razor.
If you normally use a multi-blade razor you or you do not know how to use a double edge or a straight razor who will most likely cut yourself using the bic. single blade razor.
If you successfullly use a double edge razor you will be pleasantly surprised how ...

...few consumers that actually like bic sensative. I find that to me they are safe, as in I have not cut myself on one yet. I shave my legs, arms, fingers, the lot. I also find that at £1.09 for a pack of 10 very reasonable.
The packaging may leave alot to be desired. A plastic bag, but to upgrade packaging I suppose would inevitably up the price.

If I was asked how bic could improve its product, I would not be able to advice them as I am happy with the product the way it is.However, if not to increase the price, stronger packaging would be an asset.
The shaving quality is excellent.
I would also add that I only use the razor once, ...

Advantages: It has a colorful shell Disadvantages: Terrible cuts and a lousy shave
Bic should stick to manufacturing pens!
They are cheap, but extremely lethal! I used a Bic razor for the first time today (actually about an hour or so ago) and I cut myself nearly 3 times. Pretty badly I might add -- My leg didn't stop bleeding for 15 minutes!
I do NOT recommend these razors unless you don't mind being cut. They don't even do a clean shave! I found several hair that had managed to escape the razor blade. Plus, the stinging on ... ...lousy shave.
The one thing I like about these razors is that they come in a very cheerful color. Although, I guess they need to be in a cheerful color or no one would even consider buying Bic's razor product.
In conclusion, please stay away from Bic razors! ...
