My first taste of the BMW experience was behind the wheel of a 1999 BMW 323iSE. I immediately became addicted! The car was bought second hand from a franchise dealer, as a replacement for my tired Peugeot 405. The BMW had previously been used as a company car, and as such, had a high mileage (it was less than 3 years old, but had covered 67,000 miles). However, the BMW service history was complete, and as it had just received a major service, it ... ...was fitted with a genuine BMW styling package, which meant sports bumpers front and rear, and side skirts. The interior, though bereft of leather, had been treated to wood trim, and in the boot nestled a 6 disc CD player. These items were additions to an already generous spec - air conditioning with climate control, six airbags, cruise control, electric (one touch) windows and mirrors, on board computer, remote central locking, PAS, ABS - the list ...

...miles but i got a BMW replacement and got it fitted. The engine management light came on BMW had one look and suggested i replace the ECU at £750 i asked for a second opinion. Got that
and reset the code and cleaned a sensor and never had any problems since. Apart from the dealer cost being high , the car is reliable and comfortable to drive. Town driving is ok but after a prolonged period in traffic your leg may get tired so if you'll be spending ... ...auto.
I also found the seats a little hard , after driving for a couple of hours you may find your bottom has gone a little numb , however
this may vary from person to person dependin on age and weight
i guess. Also the leather trim is hot and sticky in the summer and
cold in the winter , so its not really the most practical but this is the same for all leather trimmed cars. If you can live with the high main dealer servicing costs and you can ...

...it yet.
With the usual BMW quality the petrol engines in this saloon (16V, 6cylinder, 2.5 litre) are made to last. So you needn't worry about buying one with over 100k on the clock. I get about 30mpg average, driving about 3miles to work and back every day and the odd 300mile trip up to yorkshire every month or so. I think 30mpg is great economy considering the weight of this car. Tank holds something like 60litres (costs me about 50 pounds to fill ... ...in all a great car, comfortable and sleek with plenty of room for upgrades (if it takes your fancy PiperX now develop an induction kit for this model).
Aha, i've just found out how to edit ;)
An unmodified 323i outputs i think 192BHP, a new 325 is said to break 218bhp, and a new 330 outing @ 258BHP if my memory serves me.
Stated price for the new 325 is £25160 and the 330 £28460. (Taken from www.bmw.co.uk on 09/06/05 - THESE PRICES MAY CHANGE) ...

Advantages: BMW quality, power, features Disadvantages: Probably some rough examples around now
i had a E36 323i coupe for 2 years and it was bullet proof. i fitted 18" wheels, cat back exhaust and a K and N 2 induction kit. this car replaced my subaru and was a relief on my pocket, after the modifications it sounded amazing and went really well. I covered about 30000 miles in the car 50000-80000 and enjoyed every minute of it. The interior was a light grey leather which looked nice but did show signs of wear when i come to get rid of the car. ... ...when i got rid of the car jan 2007, it was a 98 on a R. The main thing to check with pre 99 cars is if it has a NIKASIL engine block. i only found this out after purchasing it but i was lucky, i believe the problem occurs when bad fuel was used (something to do with sulphur content i think) and if it occurs is new engine time. if you check this out and its fine then i still recomend this car, or any BMW, in 10 years of driving, ive owned 14 cars, ...

...If you select the BMW options then it can provide everything you would ever want. BMW's TV and navigation system are excellent. Unforunately, the TV will not work when the vehicle is moving which is a shame for your passengers. However, I understand you can get it chipped. The default navigation CD is great for navigating through Europe. The navigation CD should also be updated to include more streets. Definitely buy the seat heaters. Also I would ... ...are cost effective, most are not, but there are a few which I felt were cost effective and looked much better. Driving the car is one of the best reasons to choose this car as, like the commercial, you really do feel connected to the road with BMW's legendary handling. You real feel every bit of the road. I actually had a 328i, which is the same except the engine size. The performance was so good I had to be careful to watch the speedo as I got nailed ...

this 1984 bmw e-30 323i has been in my tlc for 6 and a half years, has 147,000 miles on the clock (engine was blueprinted at 115,000),this car,for me anyway,is as quick as you need-capable of 135mph+ (proven!),handling is typical bmw (arse flys out if you give it sh*tloads),0-60 in 8.3 secs (std)-compared to the 325i(8.9 secs),this model was only bought in in low numbers so 2-doors are now beginning to get rare (check for rust in the rear panels, arches ... ...feeling in the gear selector,if theres play, walk away (it can cost upto 500 quid to get the nylons replaced),check the interior for any twisting in the seats (common),check in bootwells for water,if possible, check around the bulkhead (i found a large hole in mine caused by a blocked rain gutter rubber, but a bit of stripping,a bit of cutting and a bit of welding and everything was all o.k). ...

BMW have always had a reputation for making fantastic cars, and this doesnt let it down, its gota beautiful interior and the engine is amazing due to its 2.5 litre. any fan of BMWs will love this car and so they should, another good thing is that its relatively cheap for a beema too. the gear stick rides from gear to gear perfectly. the steering is a dream as well, with its stiffened and lowered suspension it is a true low-rider and takes corners ...
