BMW 330 CI - Ultimate Driving Machine?

Advantages: Fast, silky engine, good looks.
Disadvantages: Expensive to buy, boot could be bigger

...newer one from a main BMW dealer wlll of course cost a lot more. The BMW warranties when buying from a dealer are bullet proof, just the same as the first year new car warranty, so well worth the piece of mind. I could go on, and on - drive one and you will see what I mean. - Great - Not the ultimate, but great never the less. ...

...miles and bought from a BMW dealer costing £19,000 approximately a year ago. There were others that were cheaper but not from an actual BMW dealer and to be honest the service we receieved from the dealer was very good (Scothalls of Southampton). Ours came with the M sport pack which means you get full leather interior, m sport gear lever and steering wheel. Externally you get side skirts a boot lip spoiler a more aggresive front grill and 18inch ...
...a pain in the bottom to clean!!!!!!!!!! Saftey is a prime with numerous air bags, abs, traction control to name but a few. Its at this point that I have to tell you my own issues with the traction control. I personally think it kicks in too soon and cuts the power immediately meaning that if the road is slightly greasey and your trying to nip out of a road into traffic you could be in for some serious kangarooing. You can of course turn this off ...

BMW 330Ci Sport, with M3 body styling

Advantages: One word, German.
Disadvantages: Thirsty and not for the faint hearted, also, damned expensive!!!!!!

Agile, powerful and refined, the BMW 3 Series Coupe is an irresistible blend of pure excitement and sophisticated technology. Its powerful engine and superbly balanced chassis deliver a driving experience that will make any other on the road car seem small and insignificant. The main reason why I bought this car was because I wanted something that would be reliable. Something that would last, and that I could pass on to future generations of my family. ...
...old there is the whole BMW history behind it. From the first 3series until now, these cars have always been reliable, mainly because they are built and engineered in Germany. With this history behind them, it makes the 3Series one of the most reliable cars I have owned (and others will most definitely agree. Comfort: Ok, this car isn’t the largest in the world. The entire length is 4.48metres, and the width is only 1.75metres. There is plenty of ...

...a few like minded mates. BMW dealer servicing is high quality, but seriously overpriced. I'm considering using an independent from now on, especially as one has set up recently in my area run by the same BMW technician who actually did the last main dealer service on my car. He's left and set up on his own. Reliability has been faultless in the 9,000 miles I've done, and the car still sounds, goes, feels and looks like a low mileage 04 plater. This ...

Smooth, smooth, smooth

Advantages: Smooth engine, superb build, effortless performance without being a monster
Disadvantages: Can't afford one (yet)

The other day I had a test drive in a shiny new 330Ci. It was stacked to the eyeballs with gadgets and extras, but I was interested in the engine. Driving this car was quite amazing. The engine is so smooth and so quiet it is easy to go extremely quickly without realising it. The car I drove had BMW's automatic Steptronic gearbox. This means that it can be driven as an automatic (stick it in Drive and leave it) or can be switched to Steptronic mode ...
...change gears manually by nudging the lever backwards and forwards. In sport mode the automatic changes up a gear once it hits the redline. The engine revs very freely and the 6500rpm redline comes around very quickly. Even with the automatic box, this car accelerates very quickly, and is very quick overall. The car itself is solidly built as you would expect for a BMW. The leather seats were comfortable, the climate control keeps you at the right ...

2001 BMW 330i SPORT M-Tech

Advantages: its amazing
Disadvantages: you spend to much time in it

I have just purcahsed a BMW 330i sport M-tech and its awesome. First the outside subtle sports detailing mean you stand out from the crowd and there are plenty of 3 series beemers around these days. If you want second takes then this is the model for you. Mine is a 2002 in silver. Once you get over the gorgeous flared arches and the simple boot spoiler coupled with the agressive looking fornt you open the door. With the M-tech you step over the ...

So good....I bought another

Advantages: The best 2 door 4 seat coupe you can buy?
Disadvantages: Front seatbelts a little awkward

I bought my 2nd 330ci new in august 2003, the 1st one having done 50,000 fault free miles in the previous 3 years. Apart from some minor exterior styling changes and a larger TV screen the only real difference was the new 6 speed manual box. So far this 2nd one has managed an astonishing 33.8mpg since new – over 30,000 miles so far – and only now needs new tyres fairly soon (it came with Continentals – my 1st 330 had Bridgestones – they lasted even ...
...better than the 5 speed version though – the gear ratios are near perfect and the torque is very impressive in any gear allowing you to use just any 2 of the 6 gears when you are feeling lazy! Amazing. The only fault has been an electrical problem that caused the battery to die but that was replaced under warranty even though I had ignored a recall notice about it! The big discs on all 4 corners give fantastic braking ability and the xenon headlights ...

3 years on and still smiling

Advantages: Handling and sheer fun factor
Disadvantages: Fuel consumption - But who buys a 3 litre car who's going to worry about this?

I bought a 330CI sport new about 3 years ago and I still love it. When I took it for it's first test drive I was impressed. I felt solid, accelerated quickly and felt secure on the road. I put my deposit down and 3 weeks later drove it off the forecourt. This car is fantastic. It's exterior looks are obviously eye catching. The interior is comfortable and user friendly. Knobs and buttons are where you'd expect them and there was plenty of storage ...
...I was not overly impressed with the stereo and one of the rear speakers has blown in the last year, it's covered by the warranty but I haven't got around to getting it fixed yet. What you won't notice on your test drive is exactly how good this car is on the road. The test drive will tell you it's quick in a straight line and feels firm round corners, but once it's yours you'll notice how good it really is. On a nice dry day you can't fault this ...

Quick review of BMW 330Ci

Bought my first BMW Jan 2007 and I am very impressed it is a 2003 and I prefered the layout of this model to the newer ones only disadvantage I found is that hazard switch is not on front of interior with other buttons but on base near gearstick so sometimes it is switched on by mistake. Car is very smooth, fast and confortable getting head turning looks from passers by. Mine has M3 kit with leather interior. Very fast car with a reasonable fuel consumption serviced at Cooper BMW in Colchester very good service staff and mechanics. ...

Review of BMW 330Ci

Top Notch!

Advantages: One of the best production engines around in one of the best cars
Disadvantages: Doesn't sound sporty enough

The other week, my local BMW dealer lent me a new 3-litre 3 series for a test drive. I've driven (and owned) quite a few BMW's over the last few years and I have always liked them. The new 3-litre 3 series is just a little bit better than previous versions. The engine is magnificent. It is so smooth and quiet and powerful that it is almost effortless to drive. You put your foot down and the car accelerates without question and with almost no increase ...

BMW 330 Ci Sport

Advantages: Effortless power delivery, build quality, reliable, fast and fun
Disadvantages: Maybe a bit thirsty for some, expensive servicing at main dealer

This is my second BMW having driven a VW Golf MK5 in between, which was a great car but does not compare to the ultimate driving machine, hence why I've recently purchased a 330ci Sport. Mines 6 years old and covered 80,000miles and is fitted with the auto/tiptronic gearbox and still looks and feels as if it came out of the showroom yesterday. Buiid quality is fautless as you would expect and performance is amazing. Effortless, smooth and very ...
...yet but from past experience BMW are slick if a little over priced. I have found several independant specialists who I might consider as Inspection 2 service can be v expensive at a main dealer. Oil service will cost approx £130 inc VAT @ BMW. Cars over 5 years old get a reduced labour rate. The leather seats are very comfortable and are wearing well. Rear space is good for two medium size adults but would be cramped for the taller passenger. Getting ...

...just bought me a 2001 BMW 330ci for 11,000pounds, direct from the BMW showroom. At first you might think this is a high price for an eight year old car but i have not told you the best news. ...Mercedes C300 most recently. The BMW isn't in the same league as the Merc. The Merc about 70% of the build, comfort, drive and satisfaction of the BMW and it had several electrical problems. It's the first car I've had since th Boxster that has enthused real driving satisfaction. It handles superbly and is a real pleasure to drive. I own a 51 plate and my god what an awsome car, handling, power, grip, its all there. Very comfortable and easy to drive long distance, the miles are just eaten away, and enough space to take all your beloved belongings with you. Head turning factor is awsome.
