Advantages: fast and furious Disadvantages: can be expensive
The car I'm talking about is not the newer model,it's the older one, around the "c" plate.
It has full body trim, heavily tinted windows and is in racing red.The engine has been super chipped and it purrs like nothing else I have ever heard.
A fast road cam,and 4 1/2" big bore exhaust added to this 3 1/2 litre stright 6 monster.
With 2 pot calliper brakes running on Mintex discs and pads all round, with goodridge hoses made stopping possible.Whilst ... ...horse power was exhillerating.0 to 60 came and went in well under 5 seconds.) to 155 and back to standstill was acheivable in a mere 15 seconds.
This sleek 4 door, immaculate motor, crossed my path one sunny day back in 1995.
Quite apart from it's stunning condition it was my dear car.It was love at first sight and I had to have it.And have it I did.
As I slipped in to the luxurious black leather interior, and started the engine I was in heaven. This ...

Advantages: Luxury, Style, Effortless cruising, Indestructability and sheer pace! Disadvantages: Slightly high running costs
...want to maintain a full BMW service history then it can become quite costly, but as very few things ever actually go wrong with the car, costs shouldn't be too high. The car has an instant read out on the dash to tell you when it is due its next service which is also very handy.
If you are looking for a mid-to-large size car, but want something with a bit of sporting appeal, then you really cant go wrong with a 535i, if you want a second hand car ...

Advantages: Very Comfortable Disadvantages: Not very sporty
This is my first BMW and I would certainly have another one. I was looking for a big car ready to carry 2 kids and lots of luggage. I do lots of long journeys (750 miles in one go) and a car with a slighlty upper class immage. This BMW has met all bar one of my expectations. Although this is not a slow car, it is not a fast car and neither is it a sporty car. The 0-60 time is about 7.6 seconds and the surspention is far to soft for cornering hard ... ...fast and sporty five series BMW you need to go for the motorsport version which has stiffer surspention and bigger BHP. The 535 excels it's self on long journeys as it is just so comfortable. I have fully leather seats which adjust in every way to get the perfect seating position. It has heated seats for easing back pains and warm up in cold weather before the rest of the car. BMW has thought of so many electrical extras, even after owning the car ...

Advantages: Well-built, Reliable, comfortable, easy-to-drive family car Disadvantages: Tad of the thirsty side!
I have an E34 535 which I have had for around 6 months now, I previously had a Subaru Impreza, so to be honest I was assuming that although it's an older car I didn't think I'd see much difference.. Wow I was wrong!
The car is a stunning car, not much of a head-turner such as my old car was, and also it's a heavier car, but it definitely has the power behind it to push most other cars along.
The best thing about this car is the noise that you get ... ...can barely hear the engine going and it allows for more of a conversation inside the car rather than trying to shout over the engine noise. Also the handling is excellent for such a long-heavy car, even for me at a small 5ft4" I find it a nice easy car to handle and drive.
The interior is very comfortable, and the quick-drop seats are a nice trick :')
If your thinking about optional upgrades, then definitely go for the upgraded HID lights! they ...

Quick review of BMW 535i
I drive a 535i and love it to bits,it does exactly what it says on the box, great ecceleration, performance and very smooth and luxiourious.
However this is the only car i have had so many reoccuring problems with. As well as the common problem with the cooling bottle i have had the heat exchanger changed to new twice due to water leaks, the gascket changed and even had new tyers as my loyalty to BMW which has costed a nice 1500 pounds.
The problem still is not fixed and the car is still leaking water.
I think BMW should revise thier customer services and find another way to finance the racing team. ME? i'd probably go back with Mercedes. ...

...when you walk into a bmw service centre, athough they do throw in a free valet!!
the major problem i had was with my r reg, the cattalittic (prob spelt wrong) converters needed replacing, i found out it was one of the problems with that particular model, and was kindly charged £1600 for my troubles!!
the newer models are definately for someone who doesn't mind sheeling out to bmw for the services to keep the record up, petrol consumption was about ...
