“Mini One - I have 7!”

published 04/06/2006

funky styling, pointy, rock solid grip

dull and uninspiring handling, rough engines, crap...

We acquired seven Mini Ones for staff of our development company to use as company vehicles and for advertising - they are covered in stickers! I run one of the seven as my own company car having covered 36,000 miles in thirteen months. When we went in search of staff cars, we were originally...

Cost of car and extras

After owning this car for two and a half years, putting 37,000 miles on the clock in the process, and enjoying a European tour in it, it's probably about time I put down in words exactly what I think about the little car. Let\'s get the basic detail out of the way first. This is an 05 plate Mini...

“The new BMW Mini EXCLUSIVE”

published 01/06/2001

Physical improvements on the old mini

Needs to live up to an icon and legend

*** EXCLUSIVE **** I had the chance to preview the new BMW Mini which has the tall order to live up to and build on the reputation of the old Rover Mini. One big difference is the new owner of the brand is German, though they keep it very low key, and there is infact no official BMW badge on the...

“Mini One a fun car to drive”

published 24/06/2009

Solid, fun to drive high quality small car

Heavy on fuel, not alot of leg room in the back

We bought a Mini One in 2005 for my wife as a second car. We bought it on the lease purchase scheme that they ran at the time. It works by paying a deposit, we paid £2500 then for 3 years it was £199 a month with a final payment of about £5000 after the 3 years or you can trade it in for a new...

He said "I have a reputation and I am not going to drive round in one of those." This was the very first thing my husband said to me as we discussed buying a new car. As a 17 year old my first car after passing my test was a red mini. It was my pride and joy, I loved it to pieces and after a...

BMW have done it. They have taken the old rover mini and made it better. The Germans have had a knack of doing this over the years and they have done it again. To do this they had a job. They had to keep the foibles and quirks that made the old mini so lovable. They had to inject modern styling...

Curb damage on the wheels

My wife and I bought our mini one convertible in June05. When we purchased it we liked the look of the mini cooper S convertible but couldn't quite come to terms with parting with all that cash so we opted for the cheapest option. We ordered a red mini one convertible with 17" S alloys, pepper...

“My MINI!”

Expensive

We have had a MINI in the family since early 2004 and when it came to buying my first car I knew what my choice would be! So late 2005 my MINI arrived. Since then car has been fine apart from a few rattles and issues with clutch which BMW eventually replaced under warranty. BMW service sometimes...

It took me a whole week to understand why I was so popular, it did eventually dawn on me (having finally read the MINI owner’s manual) that I was now part of the MINI owners club, not being somebody who is used to waving at complete strangers I picked it up surprisingly quickly. I absolutely love...

Our Mini One has been in the family now for 3 plus years so we do know about this car. I admit that I fell in love with the car and although I would really have loved a Cooper, practical considerations (learner driver) dictated the One. It is a fun little car to drive that exudes quality of build...

I finally got my wee mini convertible 18 months ago, then promptly left the country fot 8 months and had to leave it with a friend. Getting it back was not easy!! My friend did not want to part with it, understandably. What can I say about this car? - Its great to drive, a tyre at each corner...

“MINI ME YOU COMPLETE ME”

YEEEE FACTOR

COSTLY EXTRAS

This car really is the Mini-Me of the BMW range. It retains all the features of the bigger versions but has a loveably side too. Enough of the (rather lame) comparisons of a car to a fi;m character, on with the real review... The Mini is a simply stunning car, with great personality (if such a...

“I love MINI adventures”

cute, good to drive

small, uneconomical

I have had my car for 2 and a half years and I really like it but it is not without its downsides. I really don't know too much about cars so this will be a frank account of my experiences, but it probably won't be too technical. I really like my MINI. He is cute and called COCO (not after chanel...

Great car! I have had one for four years now and it has never let me down to this day! Looks small from te outside but is actually not inside with lot of head room! They hardy use any fuel i have to fill up onc every two weeks and i use my car at least once a day. The new version has adevice fitted which means road tax is decresed dramatically, therefore total running costs will be lowe than average. The only prolem which i have found is that the boot is extremly small. This can be overcome though if not traevelling with a full car as the back seats fold down. The best car i have ever had an i would suggest this car to anyone living in the town!

“Best car I've ever driven”

published 22/07/2003

VERY fun, build quality, customer service

Difficult to get in and out of; boot space

I bought a Mini One new in June 2001. I've always loved Mini's, but one made by BMW would be doubly difficult to resist. During the test-drive it was the brakes which stood out most, but I couldn't help notice the admiring glances I was getting from pedestrians. Since having the car I have been...
