Advantages: Clear sound quality, excellent value for money, lovely looking system.
Disadvantages: The light is not really necessary.

...is no interference. The BT Digital Baby Monitor Plus has extra features hence the name (plus) it has LCD, five lullabies and a temperature monitor. I love the extra features because they do help. The temperature monitor tells you if the room is too hot or too cold so you can always keep an eye on the room temperature. It is a digital temperature monitor and has always been very accurate. The lullabies are great to play to help get baby to sleep and ...

BT Digital Baby Monitor Plus - delighted!

Advantages: Intercom feature, temperature indicator, crystal clear sound, sensitive, good looks, light indicator, adjustable volume
Disadvantages: some unnecessary features e.g. nightlight

As a BT digital phone owner, it struck me that the same technology could be used in a baby monitor, and lo and behold those clever people at BT have gone and done it. While looking into Baby Monitors it seemed to me that you can have a basic (non-digital) model for around £20, or you can go over £100 for the video option, but as someone who wanted an 'in-between' option I plumped for the BT Digital Baby Monitor Plus which retails for around £70. ...
...clear sound, and a temperature indicator on the parent unit. This is exactly what I got and more. To be honest I don't bother with the nightlight or the range of lullabies, but the other feature I find useful is the light indicators - useful for when I've got my hairdryer on for example! When the indicator flashes into the red then you know you've got an unhappy baby! The 'talk' feature is very useful, less for reassuring baby and more for communicating ...

Well worth the money

Advantages: Battery or mains, brilliant sound quality, remote control from parent unit
Disadvantages: Night light useless

I have been very impressed by all the features of this baby monitor, with the exception of the night light which does not light anything up (pretty stars though). The sound is very clear, I can hear every noise my baby makes, even breathing which is very reassuring. You can also turn the sound down easily and even have it silent but use the lights to let you know when your baby is making a noise. There are several sensitivity levels so if you are ...
...you don't hear all the tiny sounds. The talk back function is very useful as you can use the monitor as a walky talky, reassure your baby or talk to people in the babies room. The digital thermometer has also been useful as you can set a temperature range and an alarm so if the temperature drops or rises too much you are alerted with a beep (you can also turn it off!). The main unit is controlled from the parent unit which is great as you can ...

BT Digital Baby Monitor Plus

Advantages: Talk back feature, No interference, very clear sound,
Disadvantages: Expensive

...that we went for the bt digital baby monitor plus was because it is a true digital monitor, unlike the tomy monitor which claimed to be digital however only had 2 channels. This meant that if somebody had the same monitor in the area then it would pick up on their noises. You do not get any interference what so ever with the bt digital monitor plus. Make sure that if purchasing a digital monitor, that it is true digital and has more than 2 channels. ...
...have heard our baby breathing when on the highest sensitivity, which is adjustable from your handset. The next great feature is that you can use the talk back facility to sooth your baby if crying. This has been fantastic for me as when my little girl has cried, i have been able to speak to her without going upstairs. I have had the monitors for 4 months now and have not had to go up stairs to her once, although i do have to say my baby is a very ...

It does all it needs to and more!!!

Advantages: Clear sounds, change sensitivity, plays lullabyes
Disadvantages: not sure about the battery power

Baby's can be expensive, living in a one bedroom flat I was relieved to think that I could live without the expense of a baby monitor until we have to move. That was until my sister came over from the states with her 10 month old and we realised she'd need one at my mums house so figured I may as well buy it!!! So I did a little research on the net.. as you are probably doing now if your reading this.. And of course had to make sure I could get ...
...points that they were offering on all monitors at the time!! At first I wanted a phillips model, I think mainly because it had a light and thought maybe that would be useful??? But due to it not being in stock, and reading a few reviews opted with this one. So it arrived and excitedly went over to give it to my sister. Ease of use First of all its easy to use, There's no rocket science involved, which is good with my pregnant head and my sisters ...

Digital monitor for real peace of mind!

Advantages: Excellent sound quality
Disadvantages: expensive, not all features are really necessary

...so instead a purchased the BT Digital Monitor Plus from John Lewis for just under £70. The difference with a digital monitor is remarkable. The sound quality is sooo much better, you don't get any interference or annoying clicking sounds, all you hear is your baby. The BT version is very sensitive. Most of the time I can hear my little one breathing. The monitor comes with a lot of extra features such as: -Displays temperature in babys room - this ...
...below recommended guidelines. This is good but I found early on I had to change the temperature at which the alarm sounds because in mid summer it was impossible to keep his room that cool. -Talk back feature, you can press a button on the parent unit and talk to your baby. Maybe some parents manage to get there babys back off to sleep by using this but I find I still have to go in to him, however it has been useful if I need to tell my husband ...

BT Baby Monitor Plus is the ideal monitor for all stages

Advantages: Nightlights, music, talk option, varied volume, clear sound
Disadvantages: Long initial charge time, loud unlinked alarm can not be turned off or down

We purchased this digital monitor after originally buying a radio set and the difference in quality was obvious. Although my sister had used these I had not bought them at first due to the cost (just under £70 when purchased) but realised at once that we had actually wasted the money spent on the cheaper monitors and should have bought these outright. The only issue we had with these occurs right at the beginning. You have to charge the parent unit ...
...correctly) and during this time it is not linked to the baby unit. Whilst unlinked the parent unit bleeps to warn you that it is not receiving from the baby unit and this warning is so loud that we could hear it even from the garage. Sadly ours only got about 11 hours as it was too loud and was causing problems when it came to our son's bed time. This has since affected the times for the batteries but not to any great detriment and has caused us ...

BT Monitors

Advantages: Very Clear sound
Disadvantages: Night light useless and belt clip broke the first day

I bought these cause i read a few reviews and thought they sounded quite good. Bought them and have not been disapointed. The sound quality is amasing you can hear every little noise including breathing if you set the sensitivity up (there are 5 levels). They have a 200 metre range and digital voice clarity. They have lots of feature like five different lulabys (twinkle twinkle, hush, rockaby, brahms and golden) which do actually sound like the ...

They have a digital temp reader that is constantly on the screen and it flashes and lights up bright blue if its to hot or to cold. They also have a two way speaking button so you can soothe your baby from downstairs instead of having to run upstairs every two minutes. (If you are anything like me you will be up anyway). The parental unit also controls ...

bt digital baby monitor plus a great product

Advantages: gives you great peace of mind when you cant see baby but can easily hear them
Disadvantages: in my opinion there isnt one

when my baby was first born i brought some very expensive monitors and to be honest they were terrible had to have the monitor so close to my baby to hear anything but when i brought these monitors a few weeks ago and i really loved them they give me great peace of mind and they are very sensitive to sound. the baby monitor has many functions temperature, sound adjustment, sensitivity adjustment lulaby's and a night light all of which can be controlled ...

Finally some decent monitors...

Advantages: Crystal clear sound. Rechargable and fully portable parent unit
Disadvantages: Fairly expensive

Have purchased 2 different kinds of Tomy monitors we finally bit the bullet and spent out on these ones (£79.95 in John Lewis). These are true digital monitors (DECT)- beware others say they are digital but that only means the display. So no more lost signal and no interferance with other wireless equipment. The sound is crystal clear - I can hear my baby breathing! The parent unit runs on rechargable batteries and gets recharged in a cradle when ...
...it in when you move to a different room- it's completly portable they have a range of up to 300m outdoors and 50m indoors. The baby unit runs on either mains or batteries so you can move it to another room without having to find somewhere to plug it in(useful when using in someone elses house) Has an intercom function so you can either talk to your baby or tell your husband to bring you something from upstairs!! It has other functions like temperature ...

Permanent parental peace of mind

Advantages: 200 Digital channels, intercom, programmable temperature alert, lullabys and nightlight
Disadvantages: Fairly short battery time when parent unit is not on base

I've had my baby monitor for almost 2 yrs now and out of four different monitors it is by far the best. When I bought it, it cost about £70 but they are a little cheaper these days. It has some fantastic features which make it well worth the price. First and most important is the fact that it uses a 200 digital channel range for the baby and parent units to link (This takes about 10 seconds to connect) so you don't get any interference EVER. It has ...
...preference eg. if the room temperature reaches or exceeds your set limit the parent unit will alert you. It has a volume control which you can set to your preference too. The baby unit has a night light and 5 lullabys which are great for getting baby off to sleep if they are restless. All these features are fully controllable on the baby unit or remotely from the parent unit which has a 300 metre range. The baby unit is mains operated and the parent ...

Brilliant Quality Baby Item

Advantages: Plays Lullabys, Easy to Use, Clear Sound Quality and Display
Disadvantages: Night Light isn't Bright Enough, Quite Expensive

We bought the baby monitor without realising that it played lullabys and I use to play them every day when I was pregnant, now they sooth our son as soon as he hears them (they can be put on repeat aswell which is another bonus). The display is easy to see and the temperature gauge is very useful for keeping an eye on the nursery. Advantages: Excellent digital sound quality
Disadvantages: Nightlight is very low

...before we eventaully found the BT Digital Monitor. We just couldn't believe the difference and quality of having the digital sound. There is absolutely no interference whatsoever from various household appliances.
