Having been married for almost six years, many of the items we received as gifts have needed to be replaced. This digital cordless home telephone has proven to one of the gifts that has been used most frequently and has only recently needed to be replaced, due to the batteries starting to lose their charge. Design Despite its age, this phone is fairly well designed with a classic appearance that hasn't noticeably dated. This model was also available as a twin and trio set, although we only needed a single handset. The handset itself is perfectly proportioned and fit for purpose. It is very ... more

Advantages Advantages Inexpensive to buy. (Shop around) Brilliant clarity. Lots of useful features.

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Not a lot!

~ ~ Having recently installed a new wireless broadband system I was keen to investigate the possibility of getting rid of my old hard-wired telephone system entirely. Especially since Eircom, the main telephone supplier here in the Republic of Ireland for years, were the main reason I had waited 6 years or more to obtain broadband in the first place, the antiquated copper wire connections they supplied to my property being totally unable to sustain a standard DSL broadband connection. So imagine my delight when I came across a new VoIP telephone service here in Ireland called "blueface.ie" ... more

We got these to up grade from our bineatone phone to digital for a clearer line. The trio pack of the hands-free BT Freestyle 2200 DECT phone has a great range of features, such as ten numbers directory, up to 10 hours talk time back-lit LCD and GAP compatibility at a very cost-effective price. This phone is GAP compatible. Most of the phones you can buy are digital phones are available as singles, twins, trios or quads so that you can have a phone in every room of the house without having to add anymore phone sockets! When sold together, e.g. a quad (contains 4 phones), they are already set ... more

2 Stars Quick review of BT Freestyle 2200 Triple by Level 1 Ancientofdays 20/09/2007
Only one fault with these phones and that is that the extension phones give out two beeps followed by a long beep at random intervals. Tried replacing the batteries but that did not work. Tried asking BT but got no reply. Great value for money , and very clear if you push the speaker button , but on the other hand do you really want a bedside phone that wakes you up two or three times a night ?

    Advantages Advantages Intercom function

    Disadvantages Disadvantages no address book

I have been using these phones for about 6 months and have had no problem with them at all, with feature that include phone to phone intercom, handsfree, a range of upto 50 metres indoors and caller display there not much to let this product down. But even with its 10 number quickdial and 10 last number redial it still isn't quite enough, what these phones really need is an address book. The user manual is easy to read and follow. And did I mention that calls can be transferred between the handsets. I have never had any problem with the quality of the calls, but you would expect crystal ... more
