Advantages: Easy to use, lots of options Disadvantages: None as yet
...I went to my local BT shop and selected BT Freestyle 350 Twin Cordless Handset because priced at £80 for two phones they looked simple to use and the main thing is that there was an answering machine which is what I had been wanting for quite a long time so that people could leave me messages when I'm not home, a rarity that it is. The BT Freestyle telephones are both cordless which is something I was definitely looking for and they both come with ... ...the handset there is a BT Button which gives you quicker access to the services from BT, not a button I have ever used admittedly but it is there if I need it,
3) From these telephones I cans end and receive SMS messages, although I personally prefer to use my mobile telephone. In order to send am SMS message you would have to subscribe to this option through BT,
4) It comes with an answering machine as I have already stated and the answer machine ...

Advantages: Easy to set up, easy to use, packed with features Disadvantages: I've not found any so far.
...I've had my BT Freestyle Quad phone for 3 weeks now and am so delighted with their performance felt I had to write my first review. Straight out of the box and after the initial charging period it was all systems go. There was no setting each phone to the base unit and all the ardous getting ready procedures I'd had to endure before. It was all so easy.
The clarity of calls is crystal clear and I'm very impressed by the fact that there is no difference ... ...is simple and straightforward. The messages are clear and, of course, date stamped. I've not tried the text messaging service yet but anticipate that it would be just a good as all the other features.
Thank you BT for a quality, feature packed digital phone. ...

Advantages: Good clarity of sound, excellent range without degradation of quality, light Disadvantages: Bulky, poor selection of ringtones, ringtones are too quiet, poor loudspeaker
We've fancied a new telephone for a while now, and the move from the old-fashioned corded phone to a more sleek model seemed an obvious thing to do. We searched for a while and came accross the Freestyle 350 model in the Argos catalogue. The triple was chosen because of the number of rooms in our home.
The first thing I noticed about the handset was that it is far more bulky and bigger than I expected, or than was represented in the pictures I had ... ...light-weight and rechargeable, with an excellent battery life even if you do not regularly 'dock' the handset in its respective cradle.
Another major positive is that you only require one telephone socket for this to work, regardless of the number of handsets you choose. The main handset is plugged into the phone socket, but the other two only require a power socket to maintain their charge.
The range of the handsets is also very good - I live ...

Advantages: Good range and clarity of sound Disadvantages: Software and styling - basically difficult to use
Bit of a disappointment really. It works well as a basic phone, but oh, who syled it, and who wrote the software - obviously not a user!
It was easy to set up: plug in to a 13A and phone sockets, remove tabs from the batteries, and wait 16 hours to charge. Sound quality is very good during calls, and the range more than adequate all round our thick-walled house. However all other functions are disappointing:
Phone book entries have to be separately ... ...like me, will want all three handsets to be the same, it is bizarre that they cannot be copied. This is quite fiddly to do as the keying in process is not particularly intuitive (for example the software assumes that when entering names you are more likely to want one of several currency symbols or "@" than the "&". The keys don't light up, so in poor light it is hard to use. (The cheapest mobile phone has illuminated keys, and this phone was not ...

Advantages: Audio is great and loudspeak is nice and clear Disadvantages: Shoddy build quality with a useless display
A pretty good set of phones which do the job they say they will but fall down on a couple of areas.
Sound quality is good on normal calls and on speaker phone and the ringer could be heard from the moon so no qualms there. If you have your broadband and phone on the same line make sure you have a good filter or the audio will drop off on calls to a whisper.
The answer phone is also great and can be turned on or off at the touch of a button, there ... ...leave it in the kitchen cupboard etc.
Build quality and interface are the biggest issues, it feels like a lump of plastic held together with sticky tape and when dropped spreads its insides across the room like a fragmentation grenade. The screen is tiny and despite having the option of changing settings like backgrounds and display it is pointless as it has what looks like 24 pixels across.
Phonebook is good and if you have caller recognition ...

Advantages: Digital clarity - feature rich - sms messaging - Disadvantages: None that I would worry about
A good digital telephone, with the addition of a second handset and answering machine. I have yet to try out all the functions, including sms messaging. Sound quality is clear, with adjustable volume control, both on earpiece and on hands free.
Useful features, to name a few.
last numbers redial
Missed calls
Caller ID
Phonebook
SMS messaging
Call divert

Similarly, you can pick up any messages in the same way. The unit willl let you know how many messages you have. You can choose to have answer only, or answer and leave a message, which I would imagine is very useful if you are swamped with calls. I personally don't use the answering machine, as my supplier takes any missed calls, plus, the phone will display "new calls" if someone has rung while ...

Quick review of BT Freestyle 350 SMS Triple
I splashed out and bought the single version of this and it is dreadful! Firstly, 30 seconds into each incoming call it does a loud hissing noise and I can't hear my caller. The answer machine is so bad I can only just about work out who it is, but not what they are saying. The choice of ring tones are awful.. high pitched and digitally irritating. All in all very disappointing especially considering the price! ...

Typical BT rubbish. Appeared as a special at Costco just as my old Philips one expired. About £75 for 4 seemed good value. I should have known better!
As stated above, dreadful ( old fashioned ) high pitched ring tones. poor display. Several annoying features. ( for example pause to check a number during number entry and it bins your efforts and puts you back to the start menu ! Frustrating. Avoid. ...

I agree with Sooner, the Freestyle 350 is a good product. I only have two gripes.
Why are the ring tones so naff?
You would think that having laboriously entered 70 odd telephone numbers into the base phone that the numbers would automatically appear on the other two. They don't so you have to enter all of your numbers three times. ...

Quick review of BT Freestyle 350 SMS Triple
I totally agree with the previous reviewer. These are very bulky and describing them as "light" is more positive than the "cheap" that I would use. Ringtones are more like melodies with only one ring that sounds similar to a normal ring ring tone. The phone offers wallpaper and colours (I presume to match your mood/colour of the room you are to use it in) but the pictures of sunsets, beach scenes, fishes etc are grainy and just make the phone look a bit messy. I charged my handsets for the recommended 16 hours and my battery only lasted 24 hours and the phone (for a change) wasn't used excessively. I think I may use this reason and return the phone for something better. ...
