When we hand a home phone line installed aroung 6 months ago we needed to purchase a new handset. We had a few simple requirements that we were looking for the handset to meet - it needed to be cordless, have an answer phone, a ringer that could be turned right down and also off with the ability to tell if someone is ringing simply by the phone flashing (a feature known as a 'visual indicator').
